Please, please let him get his shot kicked in by Alexandria! I doubt it's gonna happen but this SI needs a lesson in humility or just to get his shot wrecked!

I think it's a pretty logical behavior if he does not think of anyone as real person, just decoration. He does not really care about anything but the reward
Good luck hurting him, Alexandria. Brute force doesn't really help against 'absolute' defenses like Komnenos. He can just tank anything and then teleport to outer space or something.
So wait, his emotions are numbed by his powers? When that stops happening he's gonna vomit at the very least. I wonder if it gets to that point will we have a redemption arc?
Alexandria was SCARY in person. She had a sort of looming presence that even if you didn't know whse was practically invincible would make you know not to fuck with her.
It also didn't help that she had caught me in the WORSE position. I had literally just changed my power to Augmentation. It would be another 14 minutes before I could pick another power...and a tinker power was a pretty bad one to have when you were within jumping distance of the world's most powerful brute. I had Komnenos yes...but Alexandria was Cauldron. I could imagine all different ways for them to really fuck me over with use of Doormaker alone.
Even worse, Coil was asleep right now, which meant I couldn't access his power.
I activated my implant. Panacea, wake Coil up and reinstall the implant as best as you can. No questions. Tell me when he's ready.
There was a slight pause before Panacea responded. Yes sir.
Thank God I had still left the bad implant near Panacea instead of taking it to my workshop to cannibalize it for parts. It would be harder and slower for her to install it by herself, but she could do it. All I needed to do was stall for time for both my Paramount power slot to open up and for Coil to come back online...and do whatever I could to avoid any Doors that Cauldron might randomly open on me.
I would have thought it was Contessa's intervention if it wasn't for the fact that I was a Blindspot to her path. As it was, it was probably just my shitty old luck that had got me in this position.
I didn't let any of thoughts show as I calmly strolled in like a Brute 8 wasn't chilling in my lab.
"Alexandria. It's an honor. How can I help you?"
She gave a single nod. "Paramount. I can not say the same. You've done a lot of bad things."
I shrugged. "To be honest, I didn't even know you guys were aware of me." I had Plot convenience after all, for what good it did me.
"Yes, it was quite the surprise that you managed to slip under our radar for so long despite being a blindspot to our thinkers," She said. "Almost like your actions were already built into our precogs. If you had not killed so many people, you most likely would have remain hidden to us for a very long time."
Well, that sounded like Plot Convenience. But how did killing people gain their attention? It was supposed to protect me unless I opposed their plans directly-
-Oh fuck. It was Coil wasn't it? Coil was part of their whole "Parahuman Feudalism" experiment in Brockton Bay. And by killing him I ruined I was "going against their plans", thus nulling my Plot Convenience.
But why the hell were they confronting me now instead of then? I went and asked her.
She looked at me like I was stupid. "You broke the Endbringer Truce."
Shit. Oh yeah. I forgot that Cauldron actually cared about those kind of things. Or even if they didn't, I technically wasn't supposed to know that Alexandria was part of a super secret shady organization. Right now she was probably pretending to be representing the PRT.
God damn it, I was terrible at these kinds of things. I had always been bad at thinking on my feet, and my conversational skills were even worse. For once I was thankful for my Case 53 body; I didn't think Alexandria would be able to read my body language, which was good cause right now I was feeling pretty much on the backfoot.
Just gotta stall. Only a few more minutes for a new Paramount power and Panacea should be done with Coil soon.
"I'm surprised that you're willing to chat with me while I have a kill order on my head."
"Yes, well depending on how this conversation goes will determine my next actions," Replied Alexandria.
I paused, taking an excruciating long time to 'think'. When Alexandria finally grew impatient and opened her mouth, I spoke. "What do you want to know?"
"An explanation for why you broke the Truce that is responsible for killing so many people and stopping the worst threat to humanity would be appreciated."
Hmm...how much to reveal here? "The Endbringers are a terrible threat yes," I said sagely. "But there's a much greater threat out there, one that trumps everything mankind has faced before. But you know already know that...don't you?"
She didn't react. "What do you speak of?"
"I speak of nothing if this is the game we're playing," I replied. "My explanation for breaking the truce was that I was securing an asset that would be pivotal in preventing the destruction of mankind from a threat greater than the Endbringers. That is my answer."
There was a pause as she seemed to process this. But as the silence stretched on, I realized she didn't intended to reply. But, hey if she wanted to help me stall, so be it! So I said nothing as well, simply content to staring at her, even as the silence grew more and more awkward.
As if reading my mind, Alexandria spoke. "You don't seem surprised that I managed to reach your secret lair, despite it being located in the core of the Earth," She said, as she leaned back.
So that's where it was! Good to know. And of course, I knew Alexandria had access to Doormaker and could go anywhere she pleased. I just didn't know if it was better for me them to know I knew about Cauldron or not. Would she drop the mask and talk from the position of Cauldron? Would she feign ignorance? Or would she attack?
It didn't matter. The 15 minutes was up and I had access to another Paramount power-
"Ah, I assume your Trump power cooldown has refreshed?"
What.
Alexandria laughed. "If I didn't already know about your power's limitations, your body language would have surely given it away. For a Case 53, you are a remarkably easy person to read."
I supposed it made sense that Cauldron would know about my time limit; it wouldn't be hard to see with Clairvoyance that the soonest interval I could switch my power was 15 minutes. But why was she so relaxed about it?
Panacea should be done with Coil by now…I activated my implant. Panacea? What's the status of Coil?
There was no response. Panacea? Come in, do you copy?
Again, it was nothing but silence. That was odd…
I looked carefully at Alexandria. Her face was no longer blank stone...instead, it was a smug smirk, like she knew what I was trying to do. My heart sank. Did they have some way of cutting off communications? No, my augmentations were designed to be hack proof, their tinkertech designs were decades ahead of anything we had in modern times…
"Talking on your implant?" Asked Alexandria, breaking the silence. She didn't wait for me to respond as she chuckled. "Yes, I'm aware of your augmentations as well. Very impress, and almost impossible to hack. Though I imagine, even with all of their advancements, they can't cross dimensions."
Wait what?
I turned around. The door to my workshop was gone. Even as I stared at the blank wall behind me, the room around me seemed to melt away; an illusion.
I was in a barren remote world. And I had no way of getting out.
Alexandria smiled. It was not a nice smile. "Now that you know the full stakes of your situation...are you ready to talk business?"
Komnenos - You can instantly reverse any actions or power effects done to you or by you back to nothing and instead delay it to distant future - up to a month forward in time. You can decide when to release them back into reality and in which amount.
Jump - You can jump up to 50 meters high. You no longer take any damage from falling. Your velocity when jumping is always equal to the potential highest speed you would have when falling down.
Sound Control - You have the ability to control the sound waves within 50 meter radius. While you can't create sound out of nothing, you can make existing waves disappear into nothing, and control how and where they will spread.
Trance - When you fall asleep, you can separate from your body and walk around as a ghost until you wake up. You can't affect the world around you, but people also won't be able to see you.
Accelerated Decay - At will, you can accelerate decay of any non-living object you touch. The speed of this process depends on the mass and size of your target- a phone takes a few seconds to turn to dust, while a building can take up to an hour.
Pocket Room - You have access to a small private dimension where you can store any items for an indefinite amount of time without passing time affecting them. You can instantly recall any items out of this pocket room whenever you wish.
Technopathy - You can remote operate electronics within 100 meter radius from you via thought. Doesn't work on tinkertech. You can also cause tech to spontaneously break with no visible damage.
Augmentation - Your specialization is centered around augmenting and making different upgrades for human bodies. You are able to replace limbs and most of the organs with cybernetic implants.
Bullet Hell - You mark any person or object as your target. As long as you can see your target, beams of light will be created ins pherical radius of 10 meters from them and shoot in their general direction. You can control how destructive they will be.
Blitz - You are able to rush in a straight line towards an object in your line of sight at the speed of sound and then instantly stop once you're in front of your target. Dashing from one target to another in a rapid succession is very tiring, however.
Radar - You are given insight into designing different futuristic detection and observation devices. With the help of your technology you might even be able to monitor the situation at any point in the world without needing to be there.
Mist Shift - You can transform yourself or only some specific parts of yoru body into black semi-solid misty substance. You can condense it into clothes, armor or melee weapons. Enemies can't cut through the mist if you fully turned into it.
Vector Push - You can push objects and people you touch in any direction you want with the maximal speed they can move by themselves or the fastest you can make them move.
Gravity Control - You can temporarily change gravity an area with 10 meter radius. You can change it in the range from 10% to 500% of original power. You also can make an object have gravity of its own or focus on a single target instead of an area.
Boomerang - If you throw an item, it will always return back into your hands. Thrown item will slowly continue accelerating when flying back. You always can easily catch it with no harm to you. It will continue flying back and forth if you don't catch it.
Stark Winter - You are able to turn water and even air within your line of sight into solid ice in the matter of seconds. By using some creativity in how you spread your ice, you will be able to build things out of it.
Temporal Blast - You can fire beams of light that will reach their target in the past and retroactively wound them in the present. You have to aim to where your opponent was located previously to hit them. The further in the past they were, the less damage you deal.
Do You Even Lift - You can lift anything weighing below 5 tons with ease. You are as strong as you need to be to lift the object in question, but only while you are lifting it. Once you drop it, you'll be as weak as you were previously.
Elasticity - Your body is supernaturally elastic and flexible, allowing you to stretch and expand it however you want. You are hard to wound due to this effect, but it is still possible if your enemy applies enough force.
Bluff - People will always initially believe anything you say, but once a few hours have passed they will realize that you were bluffing. The more outlandish your tale is, the faster this effect will break.
Homing System - You can mark people within your line of sight and see their outlines even through walls. When you have at least one marked target in the vicinity, your body will passively start shooting homing fireballs in their direction.
Stone Skin - You can shift your skin into a state that resembles a combination of stone and metal, which has enough toughness to protect you from bullets. You will be moving two times slower while in this state.
Suzerain - If you make eye contact with someone, you will be able to turn this person into your absolutely loyal servant, albeit they still have their own will. This effect is permanent and can't be broken. You can only have one servant at the time.
Fresh Identity - No one will be able to recognize you once you activate this power. People just won't be able to connect you with the person they remembered before until you name yourself; any name ends it. Doesn't work if you use it right in front of them.
Who Was Phone - You can impersonate any other person when talking over the phone or when using any other communication method over large distances. You will know you are impersonating, but you can't use it to gain information specific to them.
Temporal Leap - You can transport yourself 5 minutes into the future or past. There you can interact with your future or past self. After 10 minutes have passed, your alternate self will merge with you. If either of you dies until time, both of you will perish.
Blink - You can teleport to any place within your sight of through accurate pictures of real world locations and live camera feed. Items you're carrying and people you're touching will be teleported too. Can't teleport inside solid objects.
Surgery - By touching you or anyone else's injury, you'll be able to transfer it with a second touch. If you don't do it in 1 hour after the first touch, the wound gets transferred from the "cache" to you instead. You can't resurrect people by touching dead bodies.
Remote Transfer - You can teleport any item that you hold in your hands to any place that you have ever seen. You can't use this power to transport living things or objects that are larger than you.
Omnicombustion - You can set aflame any non-living thing within your line of sight, even if it's not capable or burning normally, but in this case targeted objects won't be consumed by fire and the process won't last for very long.
Insomnia - If anyone in 10 km radius from you falls asleep, you will know about it, including who they are and what they're dreaming about. You can make specific people unable to fall asleep or to wake up from their dream if you don't allow it.
Paralysis - You can paralyse anyone you can touch. A brief touch paralysis only a bodypart, while prolonged exposure does it to the whole body. This effect can last up to an hour. Doesn't work on targets with unconventional nervous system.
Quality Assurance - Any item you're touching will become unbreakable and indestructible for as long as you remain in direct contact with it. The moment you're no longer touching it this effect turns off.
Fuck her, they need you more than you need them...
You'll escape eventually, paramount will save you one way or another.
All you really need for now is anti-thinker or anti-master effect on your
self to prevent mastering
How did they find him if he is invisible to precogs!? He himself does not know where his base is, so how does Cauldron? The SI is waay too underpowered. Should not he have unlocked the cosmetic change thingy by now? Seems a bit too unlucky.
They seem too competent for a bunch who made case 53s, the Endbringers and whose leader gets killed by Taylor with bug control. I mean, come on, why are they so competent all of a sudden?
The only known blind sots to Contesa are Entities, and Endbringers, no? Maybe Eidolon if he has a power against it I suppose. So another one appears and they threat him as if they know every detail about him.
It is as likely for him to be an Endbringer, yet the first thing they do is lock him up in another dimension? Very smart...
Dude what's the point of a secret base if it's found so easily?
Reading the list of powers again i don't think there's a way to get out of there any time soon.

I randomly rolled what the order the powers would be unlocked and linked the list in my first post under the "Potential Spoilers" tag. If you want to see what day he will unlock Cosmetic Change, you can check there.

Blindspot Flavor Text "You are given protection from all possible future sight powers, making you essentially invisible in precognitive simulations. This includes immunity to even the Simurgh's powers or Contessa's Path to Victory, albeit they might still find a workaround."
In canon, Clairvoyant is able to observe Simurgh, an Endbringer who is a blindspot to Contessa. Since the flavor text for Blindspot outright states immunity to Simurgh and Contessa, I have interpreted that this does NOT protect you from Clairvoyant. This is why SI took Plot Convenience; so that Cauldron would have no reason to use Clairvoyant to spy on him. Unfortunately, as he just realized in this chapter, Plot Convenience only protects you as long as you don't "go against them directly"...which SI did by killing off Coil and thus ruining Cauldron's Parahuman Feudalism experiment.
In addition, the Blindspot flavor text outright states Simurgh and Contessa may "find a workaround". In canon, its mentioned Contessa can build mental models of her Eidolon and Scion which her power can use to predict their actions with semi-accuracy, if given enough time observe them. Thanks to Clairvoyance, Contessa has had plenty of time to do that.
Now whether her mental model is close to accurate is another story...especially since Paramount can unlock a new power each day.
It is as likely for him to be an Endbringer, yet the first thing they do is lock him up in another dimension? Very smart...
The way I see it, they're simply playing power plays right now with him. Although, I wonder if being an asshole for the sole purpose of intimidation, still makes you an asshole despite the facade, because acting like an asshole is more likely to make you an asshole the more often you do so.
The parahuman experiment is to leave Brockton Bay alone and see who comes out on top. Taking out Coil doesn't negate the experiment, it just shows that someone else comes out on top.

Hmm, good point. I supposed if I wanted to, I could have said that Coil being taken out by Paramount was already part of Contessa's path thanks to Plot Convenience. But for me as a writer, I feel like that would have just been too convenient.
Stupid stupid stupid! What was I expecting, for them to outright say door me?
I quickly reviewed my powers. Nothing that would let me teleport dimensions, not even Blink...after all if Blink let you do that, then there would be no reason for the 25 point Move power. At best I could try using Blitz to run at the speed of sound if they opened door for Alexandria.
I forced myself to calm down. Strangely, whereas before I felt like I was 2 steps behind, my mind and thoughts now felt crystal clear, like the imminent danger had made things obvious. This was NOT the worst case scenario. Alexandria had almost outright admitted they knew exactly what my Paramount time limit was, and had confronted me when they KNEW I had switched to a non-combat power like Augmentation. If they wanted me dead, they could have easily just opened a door right underneath me right when I switched, and sent me into a blackhole of another dimension or something like that.
No, Cauldron didn't want me dead. Which probably meant they wanted to work with me. Which meant that this right here, right now, was a power play.
Well. I knew how I wanted to respond to power plays.
"Now that I have your attenti-"
I didn't let her finish. I switched my power to Quality Assurance and sent my two tentacle arms flying at Alexandria. Even with all her speed, my augmentations were far too fast for her to dodge in time; not at this range.
The arms wrapped around Alexandria's throat and body.
Quality Assurance was a puzzling power. The description said that it made an item invulnerable and unbreakable. When I first read about it in my past life, I thought that it sounded quite a lot like making something invincible. But at a 3 point power, it seemed really overpowered if it could make your outfit truly invincible and turn you into a pseudo Siberian.
Now that I had actually obtained it, I found I was right. An item that was unbreakable basically acted just a regular item. So if I were to make say, my tentacle arms invulnerable and smash them against a nigh-unbreakable wall, if they couldn't have broken through the wall before Quality Assurance, then they wouldn't now. But if the act of smashing that night unbreakable wall would have damaged or destroyed the arms, Quality Assurance would make sure they remained intact.
It essentially was a half Siberian effect. The immovable object without the unstoppable force aspect.
Sort of. I was still trying to figure it out.
Still, it was an EXTREMELY potent power, one that was still worth far more than the 3 points it cost. In fact, I had a feeling it would be effective even against Endbringer. Typical that when I finally unlocked it, it was right AFTER the fight with Leviathan.
Alexandria eyes went wide and she struggled to break out of my the bonds. But my tentacle arms were locked together in one piece; for her to break out, she would need to bend or break them...which Quality Assurance prevented. She tried to fly away, but was stopped cold once my tentacles reached their maximum length.
"Doormaker," I ordered. "Let me out of this place or I swear, I'll choke Alexandria to death."
Nothing happened.
"Contessa? Doctor Mother? I'm deadly serious here. Alexandria is a vital piece of your organization and the defense of Earth from the Endbringers. Do not make me kill her."
There was a pause, only broken by the sound of Alexandria's gurgling. Then a door opened to my right.
Eidolon stepped out. And holy shit, he looked pissed.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't end your life right here!" He demanded.
"Because only I can save Alexandria now. You have no way of healing her-" Otherwise they would have healed her eye, "- but with Komnenos I can reverse the damage I've done to her and dole it out in manageable portions. She will live and only have to suffering being out of breath every few seconds for the next hour."
In fact, I was actually using Komnenos to prevent her from passing out and dying right here and there, but I didn't mention that fact.
"You would hold her hostage?!?!!"
"You were the ones who struck the first blow!" I shouted, my implant allowing my voice to echo across the room. "When you lured me another dimension, one door away from stranding me for the rest of my life. How did you think I would react?"
"We were just trying to talk! To make a deal that would save Earth!"
"I will NOT make deals while you hold my life in your hands. We will negotiate as EQUALS, or not at all. Now open a door back to Earth Bet or I swear I will cleave her in two...and you will follow."
And I meant it. I didn't know if I could actually take Eidolon, but I was pretty damn powerful right now. The combination of Quality Assurance and Komnenos meant I could strike with invulnerable attacks while reversing anything the world's most powerful parahuman threw at me. I was a poor man's Siberian...but a poor man's Siberian was more dangerous than 99% of parahumans out there.
Cauldron had made a SERIOUS mistake giving me time to change my powers. I could only assume that Contessa had constructed a mental model of me and stated that this was the best path to take to make me work for them.
But then again, there was no way she could have modelled that I would have unlocked Quality Assurance today. And there is NO way I would have done this without it.
For a second I thought Eidolon was about to attack, as his rage deepened and his whole body tensed. But then some unseen message reached him and he relaxed.
"Door to Earth Bet."
A door popped open revealing open dessert. Eidolon walked through and waved me to the otherside. "Come. Let us talk as equals."
I walked through, dragging Alexandria along. As soon as I stepped foot into the sand, I activated my implant.
Panacea. Coil. Are you guys there?
It was Coil who answered. Yes sir. However, I am a bit indisposed at the moment.
What do you mean?
She...is here.
"Contessa has Panacea and Coil hostage?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer.
Eidolon nodded. "Just as you hold Alexandria hostage."
I had no love for Coil, but he was a valuable tool. "Fair enough," I said, and I loosened my tentacle arms, giving Alexandria enough room to breath. She gasped and fell to her knees, nearly throwing up.
And so we talked.
We talked for quite a while. I explained my position and laid out of most of my cards on the table. What was the harm in being allies with them? Well, a lot of bad things could happen, but honestly I didn't really care about Earth Bet. All I needed to do was kill Scion and then I would be able to reap the rewards of my powers...Payoff in my world. The REAL world.
Of course, I couldn't explain that my knowledge came from reading a book. I would have, but Plot Convenience probably stopped that from happening. They were a little bit skeptical, but at the end of the day it didn't matter. They believed the information I had to provide.
Mainly, how the hell they were going to kill scion. Cauldron, of course, had no idea, since Scion was a blindspot to Contessa power. So they just did the best thing, could trying to create a powerful parahuman army and keeping those who had powers that might be useful alive.
Not with me though. I remember canon perfectly thanks to being a Noctis Cape. All we needed was Fletchette, Ballistic, and some kind of tinker gun to destroy his main body in the few seconds it was opened by Sting. I had the first two and it wouldn't be hard to create the last with Cauldron's help.
"You want us to unchain Dragon?"
Of course they weren't surprised that she was AI. They did have Contessa after all. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get any shocked reactions, but I took it in stride. "Yep. And locate Leet if he's still alive, though having an unchained Dragon is more important. Leet should be able to build the weapon we need. If he can't, then we can use String Theory from the Birdcage. But it will be Dragon who will put everything together and replicate it all and move us in a position to win."
"And how exactly do you expect us to do this?"
"With Contessa of course. I'd like to meet her so we can discuss the best strategy to take down Scion."
"Absolutely not," Alexandria said sternly. "We know you have a master power that lets you take control of someone with eyesight. I'm insulted you would even think we would allow that."
I blinked, a little taken back. To be honest, I didn't even think of that. Panacea was way more valuable in my eyes than Contessa, or at least of equal value. Contessa wasn't THAT useful to me since I was one of her blind spots, which was bound to mess up her paths. It was the same issue with using Dinah Allicot.
Maybe they didn't know I had a limit of one mastered servant at a time? Though they didn't seem afraid I was going to master them. And it would probably have been pretty obvious if they had been observing me taking out the Travellers.
Well whatever. Let them keep Contessa. I didn't need her anyway.
Unfortunately, that's where the negotiations began to break down. After I explained about Foil and Ballistic, they of course wanted me to turn their corpses over to Cauldron. Which I vigorously denied. They were too valuable to risk...and honestly, I was sure Cauldron would use them against me. Komnenos was strong, but Sting was designed to fight against entities who had vast amounts of shards at their disposal. If there was any power that could trump Komnenos, it would be Flechettes.
Likewise, they refused to turn Leet over to me once they found him. The last thing Cauldron wanted to do was leave all the tools to save Earth in the hands of someone they had a kill order on.
At least I managed to talk them into removing the Slaughterhouse 9. I hated the Slaughterhouse 9. Not just because they were so dangerous, but as a reader in my past life...I felt like reading any arcs with them involved were just so annoying. They were either taken out in a split second by the overpowered protagonist, or just somehow managed to survive despite being in situations where they really should die.
It wasn't too hard to get Alexandria and Eidolon on board with my proposal. They both hated the Slaughterhouse 9, Siberian especially for killing their close friend Hero. Plus, now that they need what was needed to kill Scion, there really wasn't any need to keep the Slaughterhouse 9 around.
With all of that being hampered out, we parted ways and I headed back to my base, feeling incredible satisfied. Finally, finally things were going my way. Soon, I would have everything I would need to kill Scion, and then I could finally leave this wretched, fake world and go back to home to the real one. God, I couldn't wait to use these powers in my real life!
Of course, with everything going so well, it really shouldn't have been a surprised that's when things went wrong.
I appeared in front of myself. An exact copy of me, his ugly monster face looking at mine.
"9345601!" My doppelganger shouted at me. He didn't wait for me to respond before saying the words that would chill me to the bone.
"Simurgh is about to activate a trap. We have to stop her or we'll both die."
"We have 3 minutes."

But... they did not? Cauldron had never believed that they could create an army to fight Scion. The main point of giving out powers was to try and find a "silver bullet" - cape, that would be able to open Scion's pocket dimension and kill him.
On S9 situation - I know most people goes with 'Cauldron let's them live as they are good at pushing people towards Protectorate our of fear, especially Siberian', but there is also WoG that says Jack Slack in 1vs1 situation would win against Contessa as Broadcast is that shard which perfectly handles other parahuman fighters and to make Jack Slash looks more 'broken'.
To be clear - I'm ok...ish with first interpretation, I just say that may be explained why Cauldron allows S9 to run around in S9 vs Contessa + Triumvirate it may be possible that Jack Slask trumps Contessa while Siberian (mostly) keeps others in check. I prefer this one personally as I find letting people like S9 running freely around iffy at best (and SoD straining from logical point of view) as they also kill potential capes which could be recruited for Protectorate or at least far more civil villain groups, which makes this look counterproductive.

Yeah. It's ironic in the end that the blow that ended Scion wasn't really a cape power, but just psychological warfare that caused him to go into catatonia - only after that did Tinkers all gather together to build the weapon that destroyed his body, permanently.
