Compassion Be With You (Young Justice Quest)

[X] Watch the stars tonight.
I like looking at the stars... when I manage to see them...stupid light pollution...

[X] Watch the stars tonight.
I really hope an indigo ring arrives soon... Knowing convention we would need to feel great compassion about something to call a ring... (Though maybe we are just that compassionate)

Also would there be a way to fix their short lifespans, I know some species of tree can live forever....(age wise at least)

[ ] Nah, just stay inside, maybe study for that test.
Astronomy is boring, the Ocean's depths is where it's at!

[X] Watch the stars tonight.
Unless you're in the DC Universe.

You know the one thing I'm curious about?

What's the story behind the guy who blew cigarette smoke into our face? I assume it was a joke, or just some guy being a jerk, but in any case I doubt he intended to kill us. Did he try to call for help, or just run away so he wouldn't get in trouble? If it's the formerly I feel really bad for him because the situation is just tragic.

Prologue: Part 7
[X] Watch the stars tonight.

"Stargazing it is." You high-five your BFFsy.

-o-

That night, you and Magnolia head to the hills just outside town and lie down to gaze at the stars. It's odd... you can't spot any of the constellations you normally know. Still... the stars are the stars. No matter what planet you're on in this universe, they all share the same sky, the same space, and the same stars.

"Thanks for suggesting this Lia. This is really soothing..." you tell your best friend, reclined on the grass with her.

Magnolia glances at you, smiling. "Why is it you like stargazing so much, Nee?"

You shrug. Because you're not originally from Phyton B? "Well... I dunno. I guess it's because it keeps me level-headed and humble. It's impossible to keep a swelled ego when you gaze at the stars. No matter what conflicts arise on this planet's surface, nobody can conquer the heavens. It just makes you feel so small and insignificant... To think that compared to what's up there, you're just a space between the stars."

Magnolia giggles and reaches over to pay with your long, grassy hair. "Ego? That implies some level of self-centeredness, Nee. You're the most compassionate person I know," she says.

You sigh and roll over to face your friend and trace your finger along the grass. "Yeah, but... compassion doesn't get you very far in life." It certainly didn't get you far in your last one.

"Nee, look, a shooting star! Make a wish!" Magnolia gasps, pointing.

You glance up to see the white light streak across the sky. A wish, huh? You wish... You wish you had something more in your life than all this.

"Nee, is it... shooting towards us?"

You look closer and sure enough see the white streak flying closer towards you, moving to fly straight and getting brighter and bigger. As you gaze at it, you realize it's not white at all... It's... purple? No... Not purple. Indigo!

Rather than a loud boom, the flying object impacts the ground right in front of you with a soft thud. It looks to be a long, thin shaft, stabbing into the soft soil and subtly glowing indigo. You gaze at the hood-shaped head and suddenly realize it looks a bit familiar... You reach out for it and touch it, finding it's not even hot to the touch. Just... pleasantly warm.

"Nee, what are you doing? That thing... could be dangerous," Magnolia warns nervously.

Undeterred, you grasp the staff and attempt to pull it out of the ground. When you do, a bright indigo light shines from the tip of the staff and shoots a beam at your right hand. It strikes your middle finger and you again feel the pleasant warmth of... compassion!

ERROR NAME UNKNOWN of Phyton B. You have the ability to feel great Compassion. Welcome to the Indigo Tribe.

A voice enters your head unbidden and in that moment, you realize...

Why that ROB said your career path would be as a "superfunctionary."
