  • [X] Plan: Those Poor Demons...
-[X] Create a Race to aide you in hunting Demons:
--[X] F.A.E. (Fiend Annihilation Evo-works): As the Meta Nanite of Technology, it is only fitting that you create something yourself to aid your efforts, as such the FAE shall be created to service your needs. Creatures of both digital existence and physical construction taking graceful and ethereal forms of living code (That so happen to look like Fairey's) that dance upon the air and in great swarms will create grand constructions for use in the battle against the Legion.
--[X] E.L.F. (Energy Link Fielders): The abilities of this 'Burning Legion' are strange. Why not take them for yourself? Crated with the help of Energy, an ELF is an energy being housed in a lithe mechanical body. They are capable of establishing links to energy, and are thus capable of controlling it. Once linked, and ELF can reuse it over and over again, even after spending it on attacks or defenses, simply calling it back to them, though to increase the amount of energy they can control they would need to link to more of it. The main goal of these is to link to the strange form of energy the Legion utilizes in hopes of discovering more about it.
--[X] O.R.C. (Over Reactive Combatants): The FAE are builders, and the ELFs were made for knowledge. The ORCs though? they have but one purpose: War. Biomechanical titans of muscle and steel, even the smallest fully grown ORC is at least 8 feet tall, with more strength than their size suggests due to their enhancements. Each ORC produces spores when they get excited, and upon death they explode into a cloud of spores, each one capable of growing into a full grown ORC in less than a day. The ORCs also have an extensive genetic library of technology provided by Technology itself, containing schematics for anything that an army would need. These ORCs also possess a collective gestalt field, created from the subconscious belief of every ORC, based on the strange occurrences of Faust. This field allows ORCs to gather into Warbands, whereupon they elect a leader, called a Warboss, that grows immensely in strength, to lead its Warband to victory. The more ORCs a Warband possesses, the more fuel its belief field has to power the ORCs allowing them to grow tougher and stronger, along with allowing minor reality warping, such as creating technology from their genetic library even without proper materials, certain colors having tangible effects on vehicles, and more, allowing for the ORCs to contest the 'magic' of the Legion with their own reality warping. Of course, Technology realizes the trouble inherent in such a species having no failsafes, so each Warband is assigned a powerful Masked One to oversee it.
-[X] Allow the Drones to help with the situation on Faust. You trust in your creation's capabilities.
-[X] Assemble special squads of Masked Ones. If the FAE, ELF, and ORC projects were the main forces against the Legion, then your Masked Ones would be the elites. Have them cooperate with Warbands, strike deep behind the frontlines, and other such tasks, for nothing less would be worth using your direct servants
-[X] Raise four Masked Ones to lead the others, each rivalling a Guardian. They shall be the Foundation Four. They shall consist of the following: 'Million Vigil' Death, whose shadows kill all things, and possesses and army of the dead to serve her as shades. 'Flourishing Breath' Life, who shapes flesh into an army of beasts. 'Counter Fate' Time, personally favored by Space-Time, with a body of clockwork and rule over the flow of time and the inability to be bound by Fate. The last is 'Star Bastion' Space, the twin of 'Counter Fate' Time and favored by Space-Time as well. She has a body of Stardust, to create wondrous and terrible works, such as her Constellation soldiers, or her lances to rain down destruction. her magic is to manipulate space, allowing her to decide the movement of celestial bodies as well as space itself
-[X] Research more on the phenomena on Faust. Perhaps you could extend this to the rest of the universe?
-[X] The Burning Legion is seemingly composed of multiple disparate species. Capture multiple of each and perform experiment to find out just how they tick. Try to find out information as well, both about the Legion and about their manipulation of the strange energy that seemse similar to what Energy put in Doriado.Dont hesitate to perform horrific experiments. Its all in the name of SCIENCE!! And getting even at the Legion too. Thats what they get for trying to conquer your perfectly peaceful universe!
[X] Summon some of your Drones, they have spoken of Projects that will
-[X] Have Drones or Masked find cooperative or supportive Imps to arm for resistance. Giving a tribal age society advance technology I might be a bad idea, but it wouldn't do to have Faust's defense reliant on a single Meta-Nanite.
-[X] Set up a hidden factory (or 3) to build additional tools for cooperative Imps to resist the Legion. Imps gain bonuses for bringing back new information or artifacts from the Legion. If we are victorious then Imps may keep Technology's tools o and/or safer Legion artifacts as spoils of war.
-[X] Commit Science on captured Legion Combatants. Truly, a terrifying fate, but we'll need proper safety procedures before the examinations (and autopsies).
[X] Create a Race to aide you in hunting Demons: you remember a game from Rex's world, where one would play as the 'Doom Slayer', the one man that struck fear into the hearts of the demons he faced, and it would do well to give this Burning Legion something to fear in equal measure. Create a series of Slayer Drones that imitate the Doom Slayer's abilities with some help from Energy to make sure they can properly convert the Legion's power source into something that they can utilize for themselves, preferably something anathema to them.(Basically Murder/Disassembly Drones based off of the Doom Slayer, no wings, but lots more weapons to compensate for the lack of flight)
[X] Create a Race to aide you in hunting Demons: As the Meta Nanite of Technology, it is only fitting that you create something yourself to aid your efforts, as such the FAE (Fiend Annihilation Evo-works) shall be created to service your needs. Creatures of both digital existence and physical construction taking graceful and ethereal forms of living code (That so happen to look like Fairey's) that dance upon the air and in great swarms will create grand constructions for use in the battle against the Legion.

Faust Part 2
The first to be made were the F.A.E., the E.L.F. and O.R.C.s. With a wave of your hand, these races were born as your Drones were teleported alone with special squads of Masked Ones arrived, serving as your Elites for this upcoming war. Serving as assassins and much more as well throughout the war.

Now then, onto a brief over the three new races. First up were the F.A.E (Fiend Annihilation Evo-works). creatures based off Fairies and the Fae, born of two worlds, one digital and the other physical. Their forms a graceful and ethereal living code, that dance upon the air and serve as biulders, gathering in great swarms to create many grand constructions to aide your forces against the legion.

Next was E.L.F. (Energy Link Fielders), made with the help of Energy after realizing that perhaps you can use the abilities of the 'Burning Legion' against them. Beings of pure energy in lithe mechanical bodies, these E.L.F.s are capable of establishing links to energy, making them capable of controlling it. Once linked to it, ELF can reuse it over and over, even when spending it on offensive or defensive means, via simply calling back to them. Though the limits in the form is that in order to increase the amount of energy the can control, they would need to link more to it.

The main goal of these entities is to link to the strange of energies that the Legion utilizes in the hopes of learning more about it.

Now finally, the O.R.C. (Over Reactive Combatants) the more war-oriented of them all. Biomechanical titans of muscle and steel, with the smallest reaching 8 feet in height that spoke suggestions of their enhancements. Whenever excited ORCs produce spores and in death, explode into them, with each one capable of growing into a fully grown ORC in a day, ready for combat. Along with a collective gestalt field created from the subconscious beliefs of them, inspired by the reports of the strange occurrences on Faust, from unusual Imps, Beasts and beings to strange objects and outright bizarre things, combined with the growth of a Warband, a group of ORCs, lead by a Warboss that is the leader, this can make them grow tougher and strong, and with slight reality warping in many ways.

Of course, this had the path of the troubles in such a species with no failsafes, so you had assigned a powerful Masked Ones to each Warband to oversee them.

Speaking of your loyal servants, you have raised four of them to lead the others in this campaign. Each rivaling a Guardian. The shall be known as the Foundation Four. From the necromantic 'Million Vigil' Death, whose shadow kills all things and make the dead as her army, 'Flourishng Breath' Life whose ability to sculpt flesh into the army was the counterpart of her sister, to 'Counter Fate' Time and 'Star Bastion' Space, the favored twins of Space-Time. The former being a entity made of Clockwork and a mastery over time with the inability to be bound to Fate, and the latter having a body of pure stardust, capable of creating both terrible and yet wonderous works, such as the Constellation Soldiers or her lances to rain down, her magic allows her to manipulate space, in both the movement of the Celestial Bodies and Space Itself.

Now then, time for SCIENCE!!! on both the Phenomena on Faust and how you can extend this to the rest of the universe and the Burning Legion multiple species of both demonic and otherwise.

First was phenomena, you asked the Imp, known as Millie as she told you about this. Though in return, she did ask for something called Sex, which will apparently help her Trauma and such. Along with joining in for revenge as well.

You may have heard about it, but your not quite sure what this is, regardless, you agreed and let her join in, after learning about the Beliefs of Imps. Which you compared to a mixture of Native American and Hispanic mysticism and spiritualism with a slight bit of ancestor worship.

In turn, you gave her weapons to use in the war, with the most commonly being axes, swords and many, many weaponry. Well, she is very motivated in doing her job against the Legion as she quickly learns how to use her weapons with ease.

Speaking of them, your information on them yielded strong results, as you have learned quite a bit, from hierarchy to a unknown leader, their home the Twisting Nether, the Modus Opernai and of course, a very annoying detail.

Their immortality by resurrection. They cannot truly die, only to be reborn into their home, the Twisting Nether. The only way to properly kill them is either in their home and places closely like it.

This, this was a problem, but also useful as the energy used by the ELFs seem very effective, though you are not sure if it is permanent as well. But, hey, out of this, you got ideas, like the Belief Matrix you have completed to use and plans to figure out the Burning Legion's Demise.

What shall you do now oh Meta of Technology?
[ ] Try and see if you can get the Imps to unite together to help you drive the Mongrel Dogs of the Burning Legion.
[ ] Convert the Demons you have that either surrounded or is part of your experiments into your side. It can be possible as you notice discourse amongst them.
[ ] Write in

What else happens in the galaxy?
[ ] Write in

AN: So, the Belief Matrix Done, Burning Legion facts found, with hopefully, omake aiding the experiments as I am not that smart (sorry) as well as Millie joining in on the fun for vengeance and maybe bedding Technology to at least help with the Trauma in her own way and many more. Hope you guys enjoyed this!

[X] Plan: Getting Into Gear
-[X] Technology:
--[X] Try and see if you can get the Imps to unite together to help you drive the Mongrel Dogs of the Burning Legion. After providing them with proper equipment (By your high standards), they should be capable of driving off the Burning Legion. Plus it will help you examine the phenomena on Faust better.
--[X] These parasites dare claim immortality in front of one such as you? You think not. Set about disabusing these false notions. Tune the gestalt field of the ORCs, allowing more of it to be brought to bear for stronger reality warping when focused by specialized ORC units. This will allow for ORC technology to become better, temporarily buff nearby ORCs, and generally reinforce the ORC's perception of reality. Well, more than the Gestalt already does that is. Most importantly, if the ORCs expect these demons to die when they kill them, then the gestalt field shall warp reality such that they will be killed, truly and without question. Well, so long as a nearby War-Channeler is focusing the field that is.
--[X] 'Million Vigil' Death may be the spearfront, but she cannot wage an entire interstellar war on her own. Give the FAE, ELFs, and ORCs time to build their equipment, then send them to fight the Burning Legion alongside
-[X] The Rest of the Galaxy:
--[X] While the War-Channelers can cull the Legion, their numbers are limited, thus 'Million Vigil' Death shall be assigned the spearfront against the Burning Legion. So what if their souls are tethered to the Twisting Nether? Death's shadows were made to kill all things. She will sever the link on their souls and claim them for herself, to serve her in her army.
--[X] Celestia: Within the Warp, create an area for the Divine. At the center is a gleaming city populated by the Masked Ones. It is divided into 6 districts, 5 of which are overlooked by a citadel for each of the Meta-Nanites and their Guardians to serve as their abodes. At the center is massive palace, a neutral ground that shall serve as a place for the Meta-Nanites and their direct creations to gather and convene. It overlooks the central district, where mortal souls shall reside until they are ready to reincarnate. Surrounding the city are 4 regions for each of the Foundation Four.
--[X] Reincarnation Cycle: This war will inevitably result in large amounts of death. Why not create a way for the dead to return? Upon death, 'Lantern Light' Moribund meets a soul and sends them toward the Reincarnation System, which will collect the and send them to the region of Celestia where Death rules. There, they shall be free to live in the central district before they reincarnate.

Holy crap, its a miracle... A plan with less than 500 words! :V

Indeed, and also, very nice plan indeed my friend. As usual. ;) Also can't wait for the omakes to come.

Since when did we create the Warp?
Its part of the Belief Matrix in the last vote.
Introduce the Belief Matrix: An array inlaid upon the fabric of reality that gathers the collective belief of all beings and converts them into reality, not only allowing for belief to supersede physics at times, but to form new beings from folklore and worship. Not just gods, but fmaller folklore creatures as well, all of whom grow by either taking on new roles to receive belief, but also to perform acts that would make people believe in them. They are all housed and are born in a mirror version of the universe similar to the Warp, where belief is the main definer of reality.
Here is the exact description. I wanted to give it a better name, but then I realized that is essentially the Warp, though of course much less hazardous.

Anyway, @WilyMachineKing1, I had an idea I want to add in my vote, but, well, I already voted. Am I allowed to edit my vote, or will I have to wait for the next update?

Uh did you mean Joining or Enjoying?
.....Ah. my bad again.

Built for War (Canon)
@WilyMachineKing1: Heres the requested Omake :D

Built for War:

He was born for war.

The first time he woke up, he immediately performed a system check up.

Structural Integrity... Optimal
Combat Algorithms... Optimal
Genetic Library... Optimal
Sensor Suite... Optimal
Weapon Systems... Optimal
Gestalt Channeling Compatibility... 100%
System Check-up... Clear

The first sight that his eyes took in was an androgynous figure, made of metal and light. Deep within his bones, he immediately recognized them.

"Hello there, I am Technology, your creator."

They spoke in a synthetic tone. He could only stare in awe at his Creator, marveling at their perfection. Each plate, he could tell was capable of deflecting even the mightiest weapons in their genetic library. Each angle and line, streamlined for precision and efficiency. He knew that this being in front of them was capable of taking on everything he and his siblings had to offer, and utterly demolish them.

This, he knew, was perfection. In that moment, he etched upon his pulsing core an oath of fealty. How could he not? This was the culmination of everything that science and technology had to offer. He knew even without looking at his siblings that they did the same.

They gazed analytically at them, checking their worth, before their eyes softened. "Truly, all of you are wonderful creations. You have met my expectations, and I hope that you shall surpass them. After all, you are the first batch of the ORC Project, so I shall be expecting great things from you." They said. "For now, I shall leave you to your own devices. Once you are ready, you may go the these coordinates." They rattled out a string of numbers. "Once there, you will be transported to the staging grounds, where you are to familiarize yourself with the FAE Court, ELF Circle, and the overseer assigned to your Warband. Your overseer shall be your handler, and they will give you your assignments and will serve as a safety net against any super-heavy units or enemy champions that you might encounter."

"
For now, this is a goodbye. I hope to see you achieve much, my ORCs."

Then they disappeared, leaving behind 10,000 ORCs alone and leaderless.

Looking around, he could see that each of his siblings already knew what to do. Wordlessly, they assembled into groups based on which role they thought they would be suited for. Unsurprisingly, the skirmishers were the largest group, though even the smallest group numbered in the hundreds.

After all, it would be sub-optimal for any role to be neglected.

Now was the time for conflict, the first fight of their lives. Of the ORCs, 100 stepped forward for the position of Warboss, and so they prepared a clear are for them to decide who would be their leader.

He was one of the hundred. He would not be satisfied to serve as a mere soldier. No, he would become the Warboss and lead his Warband to greater heights, for that would please their creator.

First was a free for all. It was a chaotic brawl that would last until only 1 ORC remained. Immediately after starting, the sounds of battle erupted. The sounds of metal hitting what parts of them were organic and vice versa filled the air, yet while it looked like a disorganized brawl, close inspection would reveal a deadly dance. Each movement performed with utmost efficiency, as ORC fought against ORC for the right to rule as this Warband's Warboss.

'Yes!' He thought, 'This is what I was made for!' What passed for his blood sang. This fight was his element, and even as he reveled in the battle, his movements stayed efficient.

Soon, it was over, and of the 100 ORCs, one stood alone on top of a small hill of unconscious ORCs.

Him.

He had won, He fought his siblings, and he alone proved worthy of becoming Warboss. He looked upon his siblings and saw them celebrate his new role. As they cheered, he saw them grow and become better suited for the roles they assigned themselves, before something inside him shifted.

Warband formed...
Warband evolutions initiated...
Influx of Belief detected...
Requirements met...
Ascension protocol engaged...
New designation: ORC 1907A -> ORC Warboss 1A

Strength filled his body as he felt himself grow. From the standard 8 feet of his siblings to an imposing 12 feet tall. He didnt just change in size, he could feel more himself gaining more processing power, gaining new modules. Based on his diagnostics, he could tell that every part of him was improved to the same extent that it would have for a specialist ORC once they completed their evolutions. More than that, he could feel much of his processing power go towards modules that would improve his ability as a commander, so that he could lead his Warband to victory.

He grinned to himself. This was just the start. A mere 10,000 ORCs for a single Warband? No. He would grow his Warband, lead them to victory after victory, grow and improve and evolve, so that he could become that much closer to the utter perfection that was his Creator's physical form. He would defeat any who would dare threaten this universe he was created to protect, and he would serve his Creator with all of his being. This he swore upon his name, a name that had just gave himself, fitting for his purpose.

For his name was Ares, and he was built for war.

AN: Wow, that was a lot. Almost 1k words too! Anyways, this will be the first of several omakes I will be writing from the perspective of Ares, the first Warboss of the first Warband in this universe. Anyways, I wanted to keep on writing until we could get to the fight against the Burning Legion, amybe give a few paragrapsh from the POV of a Demon for a mook horror show, but I figured this was a good point to stop at. Plus, its 6 AM where I live and I just realized that the sun rose while I was writing, so I guess Ill save that for a part two.

Anyways, next up will be the first FAE Court and the first ELF Circle. After that will be the meeting, which should give me time to think of a suitable magic and name for their overseer. I was also planning on doing an omake from the perspective of 'Million Vigil' Death and another one focusing on Technology as they conduct SCIENCE! MUAHAHAHAHA! (Ignore the maniacal laughter. That is totally part of the scientific process. Technology would know.).

I might make one about 'Flourishing Breath' Life playing with the Yellow King on Carcosa (Read: Creating horrific abominations against nature and euclidean space) or Space-Time doting on his absolutely adorable twin nieces 'Counter Fate' Time and 'Star Bastion' Space while his Guardian is sulking in multiple corners 2 hours before and a few minutes later because their dad isnt paying attention to them (He is. Hes just doing it a few years in the past and 2 timelines to the side and preventing them from knowing so that he can unleash multiple timeline's worth of concentrated doting on him later and maybe yesterday as well.).

If I can get all of that finished, then I will probably make an Omake where the Meta-Nanites, their Guardians, and the Foundation Four are all goofing around and generally being a family.

Here's some omake ideas if anyone's interested
  • Terminus is having what is essentially time paradox war. Forces from both the legion and the native from the past, present, and future
  • A pit lord and his remaining are trapped in a time loop. Each loop is slightly different than the last. Ends with the time loop, now a small cube, being placed with others by Time-Space
  • This universe's version of Moxxie have a badass Legolas moment
