Just out of curiosity, can we declare the loadout of the various Tyranid forces? Because I really want a Dakkafex...
I'm not overly familiar with the actual tabletop mechanics, but like everything else your Tyranid forces are mostly in a state of narrative flux. If a winning plan explicitly calls for any given Tyranid to have a certain loadout, then it will magically snap to having been that load out the whole time and lose that property of vagueness.

Also, anybody know where I might find a list of Alpha Legion artifacts?

At that kinda roll? They probably just got wiped out in a single spell or something. We'll see exactly how I judge it.

Yes, it is.

Naturally, this gets a 100. That's at least a partial success at anything.

This is sufficiently specific and with a poor fit faction roll to be unlikely to do anything at that roll.

And now I have to figure out where to go with that specifically. Those rolls.

This actually doesn't give me anything to work with, since factions aren't machines. Of course, it also low rolled, so I supposed it doesn't matter.

You actually do have recent evidence on that one, as Logos noted.

Thank Logos twice over for that. Since he also targeted his vote to reveal.

Also, it amuses me how many extreme long shot votes are getting mediocre at best results, this round

... and then the factions sometimes line up in hilarious ways.
I ment they had a colberation between meks and painboyz to try and make a Supa Nob. Seem to hage fail though.

Rumors, turn 3
Salt Votes Rumors continue!

Mystery Ship Harries Imperial Efforts
against Tyranic fleets. Matching no known techbase and possessing incredible speed on a strategic level, this ship, called by the Imperials Nemesis, has been striking and destroying or crippling Imperial ships in contact with Hive Ships or ferrying forces to besieged worlds, only to vanish into the void of space once more when heavier ships attempt to respond. While some believe it to be a warship of Tyranic origin, others point to the lack of further copies of such ships as evidence to the contrary. The destruction of the Alorus colony and the presence of apparently similar technology in the ruins, principally as traps, has lead to the rise in prominence of the theory that some nameless Xenos destroyed by the Imperials constructed this mystery ship prior to their destruction and that the crew of said ship now seeks vengeance for the deaths of their kind...

Small Space Hulk docked to this Hulk. That being how the Dark Mechanicus got right next to you. As far as you know, they have it under complete control but they might just be hiding the presence of any others on it.

Ancient Preserved Tau Command Ship Found! By the Tau, and they are just as confused as anyone. Far as they can tell, it predates their space program by a good two thousand years and yet has technology more advanced than their modern ships. While the Tau are trying to keep it hushed up, the crew was alive and apparently remembers things that have yet to happen!

Three companies of the Knights Unyielding join the Cadian Brawl... On the side of Chaos. Suspicion falls on the Chapter, abated somewhat by the same three companies having dropped out of contact with the Chapter around the time the 14th Black Crusade began.

World Eaters Angrier than usual! A small, as yet nameless warband claims to have defeated them in battle. They say the cowards fled after a successful ambush!

Tau Commander Puretide Attempting to gather troops for future campaigns! Thus far, he has met essentially no success.

Craftworld Eldar now present on the Space Hulk. They brought Squats, too. No one has information as to their goals as yet.

An Eldar Craftworld suffers a dramatic raid by Loyalist Space Marines. Extent of the damage is unknown but Vincent informs you that Slaanesh is pleased by the incident, in a generally good mood.

Alpha Legion furious with the Blood Ravens Chapter of Loyalist Marines. They refuse to speak of why, but common assumption is that the Blood Ravens stole one or more of their artifacts.

Famed Night Lord Sorceror slain! The vanishing of a particularly powerful Bloodthirster is purported to be cause by the same incident. Bizarre rumors abound that said Bloodthirster has been bound to a young girl and fights ferociously as a Daemonhost in service of what some believe to be the apprentice of said Sorceror.

That would be my Salt Vote.

Hmm.

Salt Vote: Someone attempts to recreate Teturact. (Soul Drinkers novels, they were an artificially created psyker so powerful they actually got started on becoming a Warp god. Consider the low role being either farther from how Teturact was, or less powerful. Or both. Keep in mind the equipment used originally was made to control Warp mutation.)

[X]A group of Minor Chaos Gods of the warp such as Nacho and his type have banded together and have made a deal with the emperor. They will do there best to heal him/ help him along with becoming a god of the warp and in return he is oath bound to protect them if the main four desire there destruction.

[X]Salt Vote: Someone tries for a Silica Animus

[X] Salt Vote: The Man Of Iron awakens and Worships the Void Dragon

For reference, I actually don't know all that much about specific 40k canon. Pretty much, if it's not very general information or something from Dawn of War you are referencing, a wiki link or such like so I can know what you are referring to will cause me to look more favorably upon such votes than if I have to look it up myself.

It's a placeholder vote while I work out who faction 3 was. Emperor's Children... think I can work with that.

Surprised you haven't gotten to changing it yet. Still thinking?

Men of Iron:

Basically Cylons, made back in the Dark Age of Tech, or when the Rhino was their idea of a tractor. Naturally, they got corrupted, and lots of people died. As a result, they're all dead.

The Void Dragon?
Well, it's a C'Tan. Which is bad, because that's a Necron God. You know the Nightbringer? Imagine that. This one is supposedly sleeping on Mars, and serving as inspiration for the Cult Mechanicus as it's Omnissiah. It's sleeping there mostly because the Emperor made it His bitch back in M1-15ish or 1-14,999 AD.

It's also been linked to a Necron incursion that actually got CLOSE to Mars. As in, they LANDED on Mars, a feat best described as "Brown pants time".

And a Silica Animus is an AI.
Which is banned by the Mech, due to the Men of Iron incident.

[x] Plan United Chaos Front!
-[x] Send an emissary (Juno?) to the Dark Mechanicus, try to start an allegiance with them and offer your protection if that would sweeten the deal
--[x] If successful, ask them to help in exploiting the DE Technology and if they can repair/ improve our weapons, armor, vehicles, and infrastructures.
-[x] Send another emissary (Damian?) to the servants of Nurgle to the North and coordinate with them on how to proceed against the Dark Eldar, and if possible find out what father Nurgle wants in this hulk, to better assist him that is.
-[x] The appearance of Abaddon's lackey without anyone noticing makes you... distrustful for some reason. Look for and assign one of your more subtle champions with the duty of finding traitors and/or infiltrators among your troops.
--[x] also try to find out a way to make sure that such 'entrances' doesn't happen again.
-[x] Give whatever support and men your tournament champion (Paul) needs, including the Sisters and the Imperial Guardsmen should he wish to. You should go as well along with your pet tyranids to test their new abilities in combat. Something tells you that the upcoming tyranid-ripper and ork boyz clash will be interesting.
-[x] Get to know your Imperial "allies" better and find how the Imperium is doing. one of the Sisters in intrigued regarding your theory about the holy number of the Emperor. you should probably build up on this.
--[x] Also pray to the God-Emperor to give you some insight on how to deal with his other mortal servants currently in the hulk but not yet under your benevolent control.
-[x] Send Ghost to spy on the Eldar and the thing that they are searching for.
--[x] also tell him to send spies to find out what mischief the other Hulk Factions are up to...
-[x] Put Brother Fever in charge of the Cultist training along with the Imperial Guard trainers, since he seems to relate well with mortals. He will make sure that the millions strong cultists will be on par or even surpass the average Imperial Guardsman and he should find out how to equip them properly as well as its organization and its officers. Your very own Blood Pact? such a thought is very appealing.
--[x] Also Instruct him to find ways and develop a plan on how to convert these Imperials willingly.
-[x] Aside from training his apprentice, instruct Sylvester to look out for more of psykers, mutants, or any other abnormality (blanks?) which may be useful to your warband later on.
-[x] Assign Brother Mortimer to take charge of the camp while you are away on campaign.
--[x] have him dispatch scouts both mortal and Marine to find out more about the hulk as well as assigning men to guard and patrol the various routes in and out of territory.
--[x] suggest to him to have men loot all of the vehicles and other supplies that they can find in the old DE territory. Also have the men build whatever necessary infrastructures that they can from the salvage, like vehicle bays, barracks and ammo dumps. Also secure food and water supplies.
-[x] Ask Vincent to accompany you in the campaign and to watch out for portents and signs of the Chaos Powers. Its strange that the DE just left their arena, maybe the servant of Slaanesh will show you some insight?

anymore ideas? will edit this to include stuff I missed from the two updates and the Rumors...

@butchock We should use some of the Cultists, maybe 20 million to see if we can use anywhere nearby to set up agricultural area on the Hulk. It would allow us to keep the imperials fed, and please the Emperor because he seems to be really big on community and improvement and such. You also aren't really using the cultists that much. Maybe put one of the Champions in charge of the agriculture. We do have a full 20 champions, let's use some of them.

We should also task another couple of hundred-thousand cultists with getting up manufacturing, we need to be able to arm ourselves, especially as our population grows. Also, we have 42 tanks for our 350 million man army, vehicle production is important.

We seem to have no manufactorums/forges with us though (since we seem to only have 1 techmarine), but the Dark Mechanicus probably has already built one so an alliance with them makes sense. hmm... I thought the cultists are doing things like food production in the background since supplies like food are more of a narrative thing rather than part of game mechanics, so I focused on training, scouting, making fortifications... but yeah, I can add that in, no problem.

They are generating food through handwavium, for the moment, yes. They'll keep themselves alive and be active to an extent without orders, they aren't mind slaves, but you can of course give them more particular orders and they don't have the best of long term planning if you leave them unmanaged.

As to production, the area the Squats and Eldar have been seen in is apparently some kind of manufacture area original, and something I have decided in the background is the northern sector you seized from the Dark Eldar is a vehicle carrying section of a Battle Barge. So you have a potential supply of Space Marine vehicle salvage (and probably some degree of facilities for maintenance) in your current territory.

Telling me your take on something is not very helpful. You would be referring to Necoho, yes? I am actually aware of him in advance and you are, at bare minimum, using the wrong name. Furthermore, just because something exists in Warhammer Fantasy doesn't mean it's in 40k, or this quest. I ask for wiki links for a reason, I'm not going to work purely off subjective opinions of the voter.

-[x] The appearance of Abaddon's lackey in your base without anyone noticing makes you... distrustful for some reason. Look for and assign one of your more subtle champions with the duty of finding traitors and/or infiltrators among your troops.

Actually, he didn't appear in your base (well he did, but he was noticed there). He appeared in the middle of your army on campaign. Which is arguably more concerning, I'll admit.

Also, improve your propaganda style by preaching a gospel about Him in harmony with the Chaos powers!

Doing this so soon will almost certainly get at least the Battle Sister to declare you enemies of man, the current gospel being chaos is evil (with a lot of basis) means that while you are being tolerated by the imperials in spite of your chaotic status, trying to convince them that the Emperor is in or should be in harmony with the Dark Gods is likely to much of a leap at this point in time. (It's likely to be a hard chasm to leap, all things considered)

-[x] Ask Vincent to sacrifice some DE to Slaanesh to find out more portents regarding the DE's plan in the hulk.

You ran out of Dark Eldar when you tested the 'Nids. Clearly, Ironic Slave Raiding is the only answer!:V (But seriously you are out of Dark Eldar prisoners for the moment, and would need to catch more)

thanks! edited my plan!

Oh woops, missed this point. No, Juno is your Chief Techmarine with an unspecified number of Techmarines under him- more than 5, less than 20, probably, haven't felt like pinning it to a specific number as yet. (you have similar unspecified numbers of Apothecaries.)

ok thanks! also edited the plan to train our cultist into our version of the Blood Pact
