I mean, I'm using Fate/Extella for Gawain, and he looks killer in that. I'm also using shirtless tattoo Gil, soooooo yeah. As for Karna? I believe I'm using Extella for him too, as it lacked all the weird frills.

The main benefit for Birth is full control over the character. You can make him however you want (except for outfit, which I choose lol). If you choose Signal, then you get a lot of control and get to design your weapon. If you choose Trailer, you get to go through initiation and decide on your team. If you choose Beacon, you get to start on the 'main action' right away.
