Chakra Telepathy. A SV in sasuke head quest....

Like, I don't know if my memory is spotty (which it may well be), but I swear Sasuke in Pre-timeskip almost never used genjutsu. Like, at all. Bit weird, come to think of it.
No one uses Genjutsu. The two most notable instances of Genjutsu is Tsukyomi and the Sound-Sand Invasion in the Chunin Exams.

Hell, pretty sure Genjutsu only gets used three or four times in the entirety of Part 1. That's how worthless it is.

Okay, can you please tone down the arm-waving and negativity? It's beyond annoying, and it's cluttering up the thread.

As for using Genjutsu, Kurenai does it multiple times (it's her whole thing), Sakura successfully uses the Clone Technique (which is, I believe, a Genjutsu), the one gal with needle-bells use them, the First/Second Hokage have that darkness jutsu, the flute gal has them, Jirayia+Toad Sages uses a really powerful one, the 2nd Tsukage uses them, I think that one Mizukage uses them as well.

None of those examples are Uchiha.

The problem is we don't see as much Genjutsu use as we do Ninjutsu or even Taijutsu.

Because Naruto is an action anime. Genjutso just isn't that action-packed, usually.

Heh. Seems like you're enjoying yourself a bit on this mission Sasuke. Doing something for others, and not just your revenge as is your typical seems to be a good thing for you. I'm glad to see you grow so fast. Apologies for not speaking up in the earlier burst, I was... indisposed of, for a time.

Now though, I am glad to have returned. As for your comment earlier about the strangeness of that wolf I sent to you, with the music? It's not really a wolf, but a divine avatar of a goddess. Specifically, Amaterasu, Goddess of the Sun. Though, it seems like it can grant you a power, when you are ready to receive it. Specifically, the power to produce black flames that can burn through near anything, except highly chakra-infused materials. That includes other fire. It burns itself out after 7 days and nights, and only the one who started the fire can extinguish it. To use it, both the Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan must be unlocked first. Which may not ever happen, honestly.

By the way Sasuke? May I ask you what you think of this song?

Tempting him with what he wants most - power - only to tell him that he may never receive it. What's that for? Worse, drawing his attention to the fact that Mangekyo is awesome when he already knows how to unlock it.

I don't know if the color I'm using is already being used by someone else, but if so, tell me and I'll change it. Options of colors not yet in use are helpful.

Hey Sasuke. This is the first time I'm talking to you if you have problems differing the different voices in your head. You can call me Milpy, if you want.

I don't think killing Itachi is all that vengeful. Before you scoff, think about it. Itachi said that he killed them because he was testing himself, and you were spared so that you would grow strong and present a challenge to him or something like that, right?

So, to go and kill him in a straight-forward fight(as much as ninjas fight straightforwardly) doesn't seem to me like any kind of revenge.

I say, if you want revenge, kill him with poison. He won't have the battle to end all battles, and you would have brought honor to your clan (I mean, Uchiha is a ninja clan, surely honor to ninjas is about the results regardless of the means, right? Not like samurais that only thinks straightforward fights are honorable).

But... I don't believe you would go for poison. Because I don't believe you are actually after revenge so much as after closure. You want that night to finally end.

I have more to say, but I'll let you think about it for a while. You should meditate on it. It matters a lot to how you're going to kill Itachi, for I have no reason to doubt your ability to eventually kill him (not now, of course, but down a couple years... sure)

Zubuza has an accomplice. A member of a nigh extinct clan called the Yuki. They possess the Ice Release and Zabuza's partner has great power. His partner is currently nursing Zabuza's wounds. Zabuza lives and will return and will have figured out your sensei's tricks with his partner in tow. His partner will attempt to trap you within a powerful ice jutsu that creates a barrier of ice mirrors that they can hide within and switch from faster than your sharingan can follow. Her ice is saturated with chakra and cannot be melted by anything below an A rank fire jutsu. They will utilize senbons to try and kill you and anyone else who gets caught inside the mirrors. There is an easy way to defeat them though. They are completely devoted to zabuza and will gladly die in his place or even kill themselves to secure his release. If your sensei can get zabuza in a state where he will die without medical aid or get him in a position where he can use him as a hostage they will happily exchange you for him.

Also Zabuza's employer is the one who is making trouble for the town and trying to stop the bridges construction. Kill him and zabuza will leave you be as he will no longer have reason to do so as he will not be paid.

Also have a nice little tidbit for you. Itachi is dying. He has an incurable disease that is slowly killing him from within and weakening him. In around 10 years he will be dead and if not dead then weakened to such a degree he will present a much lesser challenge to kill. Outside of the desire to kill him yourself you can rest easy in the knowledge that no matter what happens, whether you lose your fight with him or win, he will die all the same in the end.

Also did you know the way to unlock the ultimate form of the sharingan? We do, though to fully realize them you will need itachi's eyes.

Hello again Sasuke. Sorry about the interruptions during your water walking training. The connection between us is not as stable as we would like. But if you want an upside to the interruptions, look at it this way. Distractions happen all the time in battle, it is better to learn to deal with them now while you are doing something less dangerous. Also with the bridge building you did, good work, you were able to help some people in need while getting some strength/stamina training in.

As for your realisation of how stupid you were being with your attitude to life. That was a good thing, you are emotionally and mentally moving on from your grief. While the 5 stages of grief are not a concrete guide to how people grieve you seem to have gone through 2-3 stages depending on how you look at it. Denial - that was the part where you became frozen and disconnected from the world, Anger - probably the entire thing with becoming angry every time Itachi is mentioned, Bargaining - this is the one I am not sure of, maybe you have gone through it maybe not, doesn't help that most people go through the stages in a different order, sometimes more than once and they tend to blur together, Depression - this is the stage you appear to be at right now, maybe this or bargaining, Acceptance - the final stage, the one most people eventually reach. At this point you probably need some different advice than before. "The best revenge is to live on and prove yourself"-Eddie Vedder

I THINK the Yuki Clan thing is fanon. And the A Rank Fire Jutsu thing as well.

I don't think he'll take the 'Itachi is dying' news well. It might be for the best that he doesn't know.

And that he doesn't learn about the Eternal Magekyo Sharigan outside of the Village.

Yuki is canon, so is the dire being extremely hard to melt due to chakra saturation.

The only part of that that may not be Canon is the a rank requirement.

I love quest/story's like this even if i don,t participate does any one know of any that are still going

Greetings Sasuke,

I hope everything is doing alright, once we get back to the village I would suggest you start giving naruto and sakura some tips...Another one I would suggest is to utilize chakra as a way to make a sort of armor on your skin. Maybe use it to help give it more resistance to damage? don't think this would be absolute defense however, as some things like sound, heat, electricity, and other elements can either go through or go around this defense, but against something like sebon and kunai? Or even swords? damn priceless if you don't want to lose a limb or two.

Another thing, if your going to be a ninja be tricky...also I would ask how naruto learned the shadow clone technique, as it apparently allows you to split your chakra in half or something or another...but heres the big kicker...that boy doesn't realize he has one of the most cheat-hax ways of gaining better chakra control and elemental chakra nature training situation ever devised by ninja!

I'm talking about using a shadow clone to help you do chakra control exercises as well as a scouting technique...considering the second hokage made it as a way to spy on enemy encampments without endangering the user. It also could allow you to gain allot more control and learn more jutsu much easier then ever before. However it comes with a dangerous drawback besides being chakra intensive...everything said clone learns you learn. especially if you have a ton of them, you could end up with a headache at least, to getting into a coma at worst. the best way I see how naruto deals with so many damn clones of himself is that he unconsciously is healing his brain-damage from the massive intake of information.

As well as concentrating on getting one up on whoever he is fighting, that kiddo has a way of being a sneaky son of a kunai if you know what I mean!

Anyway good luck, and I suggest doing some like chakra diving...just enough to get you up and running no deeper then a short rest. (also as a note: have your group make some traps whenever you guys leave, a decent trap could save your lives especially in the future!)

I'm pretty certain they already do the Chakra coating thing, otherwise they wouldn't be able to survive such strong hits and powerful Jutsu.

You severely misunderstand what Ninja means in this setting if you're advising to be 'tricky'. Also on the Shadow Clone thing, no. Just no.

There's a reason why no one uses the Jutsu and why it's labeled forbidden. Information backlash and just how much Chakra you lose are the two prime reasons. Naruto can use as he does due to his insane amount of Chakra. And his healing factor.

Also, Sasuke was just forbidden from Chakra Diving out of Leaf.

Nah, Yuki clan is cannon and so is the A rank because in one of the movies they used an A rank jutsu to melt the mirrors

Also i think he will. He will know his clan will be avenged no matter what he does.

As for the final stage, i only told him he would need his brothers eyes.

Revenge does not enjoy being deprived of doing it itself.

If it involves Itachi giving him power, he won't care really. Not unless he has a reason to.

that's why I mentioned it, also I'm only suggesting one or two of them...as for the chakra coating does he already know this himself? maybe the gennin are doing it unconsciously...im just trying to get him to have more damage resistance without going into the obvious armor.

I did not explain further beyond telling him his to gain the ultimate form of the sharingan he needs to take something from his brother which is easier done when he is dead which doesn't change much beyond him knowing a way to gain power after his brother is dead.

As for the deprived revenge it might further motivate him as he is now on a time limit as well as grant him peace in knowing his brother is slowly dying extremely painfully.
