Celestial Quirk (MHA/Celestial Menagerie)

Between the Maw Fluke, Deathspitter, and now Thundertusk, the Menagerie sure seems to like to give poor Izu boy utter monsters.
If I may ask, what Bonus categories are you making use of? I hope Rainworld and Paranatural are on the list but I'd understand if not.

@Lleh A small mistake in chapter one, you named the creature Crown Hawk, the only creature I found that is similar to the description is the Crowhawk from Ni No Kuni.
I also have a question about why the menagerie says he can't give her a summon, the grant summon power explicitly says that the summoner can give someone the ability to summon one of his creatures at the cost of he himself being unable to summon the creature until the person he gave the summon to dies.

Yeah I was confused too, but I eventually considered she was saying that wouldn't be solving the problem.

Maybe I should go back to that.

What I meant:

The question is can he give a summon that was strong and versatile enough to replace a quirk? Too Izuku, none of the creatures so far are good enough... maybe crowhawk but still.

Now this is an example of Izuku's brand of internal quirkism. Haru-chan just can't have a regular summons she needs something to be a hero with. Izuku doesn't even know if Haruka wants to be a hero btw. So he is asking Menagerie if she could give him a suitable summons.

Chapter Three: Thunder
Chapter Three: Thunder

Friday was the most important day of the week. A fact any school kid would tell you with one hundred percent honesty. This fact did not change, no matter time or location, as long as Friday meant the start of the weekend.

For one Izuku Midoriya, Friday could not come soon enough. It meant the chance to scout out for a training location. He had an idea in mind to begin training his quirk immediately after the dream, but he didn't want to be out on streets right after his altercation with villains.

Before he could do that, he had something else to do.

"You don't have to walk me home, senpai."

Izuku looked down at Haruka. The girl had a slight frown on her face. She was holding Dove again. Izuku tried to give a reassuring smile, but the girl didn't seem to budge.

"I might not have a quirk b-but I can walk home. None of my bullies live near me," Haruka said dejectedly.

An evolutionary dead end.

Izuku heard the words of his quirk - no of Menagerie. He didn't think of quikless like that, nor did he think they were helpless. I just want to help her. His own confused thoughts brought a frown to his face, "It's… well I want to help, no one helped me for the time I didn't have a quirk. I wouldn't have minded at least one friendly hand at that time."

Izuku was a little surprised at how bitter he sounded.

"Senpai, you've walked me home every day since tuesday."

"Well, what about gangs?"

Haruka's eyes widened, "There's Gangs in my area?"

Izuku wanted to slap himself. He didn't want to scare her.

"Well, there's gang territory close. Ever since All Might started his anti-gang initiative the Villains have been getting desperate," which Izuku thought was true. The No. 1 had been going hard against villains lately. Far more than the hero ever pushed since he moved back from America. But the last year had been noticeably more enthusiastic. Crime rates were going down fast. The rest Izuku's statement was conjecture.

"Besides, you're kinda my only friend."

Haruka looked up at him pityingly, "that's sad senpai."

Harsh, Izuku couldn't help but chuckle at his thought.

"Plus," Izuku continued, "I am going to Takoba beach today."

"Isn't that place a dump?"

"Yes," Izuku said, "which makes it perfect for quirk training."

Haruka stopped and rounded on him. Dove squeaked as she involuntarily squeezed the poor Jackalope.

"Quirk training! Can I come? Please! Please Let Me seeeee," Haruka stopped suddenly, "wait a minute isn't that illegal. Quirk usage laws or something."

Izuku chuckled, "Well, sadly, all the testing facilities are invite-only, too far or too expensive. Takoba, however, is supposed to be isolated and-

"And the trash will insulate the sound of your creatures!"

Izuku nodded, which brought back the girl's grin.

"Oh now you have to let me see I have so many questions about your creatures," Haruka bounced on her feet.

"Oh, probably not Haru-chan. For one it's pretty late and I doubt your dad would be happy with you going out late to what is essentially a dump," Haruka's face fell at that, which instantly made Izuku feel like he kicked a puppy.

"But," Haruka perked up, "I'm really only going to check it out. If your dad is okay with it we could go during the weekend."

"AH but what about now? Dad isn't even home… I could leave a note."

Izuku looked at her quizzically, "What does your dad even do?"

"He's a paramedic first responder."

Izuke nodded, "That's actually pretty cool."

She nodded, "I love my dad… he can be a little overbearing at times and," she looked away before sighing, "anyway he's super cool, hope I can be like him when I grow up."

Izuku opened his mouth and then closed it again. He wanted to ask the question but couldn't bear to ruin the mood. He had a plan anyway; well sort of a plan, so it shouldn't be a problem for very long.

Instead, "Well I doubt Mr. Yamashita would be very happy if his daughter didn't come home and instead went to an actual dump with an upperclassman. Also you said he was twitchy."

"Whaaaat," Haruka said, "no way, he'd love you."

"Haruka, I do not want to get shot by your father."

"He wouldn't actually shoot you."

"That," Izuku said, "does not fill me with confidence."

Takoba Beach was perfect. Absolutely beautiful.

In the context of somebody wanting to test his quirk illegally, it worked. The beach itself was a mix of disgusting and awe-inspiring. It was amazing how the community and city could allow the beach to be devastated by trash like this.

The plus side is that it was mostly metallic trash, like cars and appliances, so the smell wasn't as bad as it could have been. It did look like the world's greatest ad for a tetanus shot.

Izuku still loved it.

Making his way onto the beach, he wound his way through the small mountains. The beach was a veritable maze once you got off the one clear path to the water. Eventually, Izuku found what he was looking for.

A nice wide open space between the garbage and the ocean.

Izuku quickly brought out something he had been saving in his backpack. A small lamp. He wasn't planning to speed for a long time here, but he still needed to see if the moon didn't cut it.

"No more procrastinating."

Izuku pulled on his newest creature and almost stumbled at the size of the thing. The Thundertusk rose to the height of an elephant. No, Izuku realized; the thing was as large as a Mammoth.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"Wait! No quiet!"

Izukus voice was almost lost as the Thundertusk roar echoed off the trash walls. Luckily the thing did hear him and didn't do anything else to alert them.

The creature looked down at Deku with a sort of aggrieved patience. Izuku suddenly felt the thing would very much like to destroy stuff.

"Well, Thundertusk is an apt description," Izuku said, looking at the beast. He had the sense that it was more than just a tusked animal. As Izuku debated testing those abilities, he felt another animal enter his…Menagerie.

Izuku pulled and looked down to find a… find a small monkey grinning up at him.

"Well that's new."

Izuku knelt down, "Want to climb on my shoulder?"

The Capuchin jumped and quickly found a perch on Izuku's shoulder. Almost immediately the monkey started playing with his green locks.

Izuku looked over at his large Thundertusk and decided to push it just a little.

"Hey Thunder- how about I call you Thunder," Izuku asked. In response the mammoth sized creature gave a low warble, "Awesome can you demonstrate any special abilities for me on that."

Izuku pointed to a wrecked four door car.

There was a level of elation in the Thunder's blue eyes. He made two thundering steps to the car and gave a low roar that sounded like the cackling of ice. A wave of freezing air expelled from its mouth and slammed the car.

Izuku and the Capuchin both lept back as the air temperature dropped.

The wreck wasn't encased in Ice so much as it looked like someone had replaced the car with an ice sculpture.

"Grrrrr," Thunder growled looking at Izuku then the car.

"Okay but then we have-

Thunder took Izuku's okay and charged the ice car. The ground shook as he lifted it up with its insanely long tusks and flipped it.

Izuku's jaw dropped as the thing went flying into the ocean.

.

..

….

"Tadaima."

"In the kitchen sweaty, how'd it go?"

"It went great, I got a monkey now."

"Oh sweaty, that's cute, say I just wanted to let you know but I invited a coworker over to dinner tomorrow."

"That's nice, anyone I know."

"Probably not, Mr. Yamashita will be bringing his daughter as well."

"Cool - Wait WHO!"

Short chapters and slow updates makes this feel like you're doing out appetisers peice meal. Ah well.

So from the sounds of it All Might got healed? Fun.

Also, Inko is a paramedic here and calls Izuku sweaty. I mean, if he's training all the time i guess that makes sense? Would have gone with sweetie myself though, sounds more like a nickname a mother would give.

No... I am unsure what you are saying. Inko works at the hospital and is Izuku's mom. None of that is different.
