Can we get more explanation on why we can't talk about babies being killed when discussing the current situation in Israel and Gaza?

I think dealing with the fact that events have occurred should be the price of admission of discussing those events or the issues surrounding them, even if you don't like or agree with what that entails. I can understand the idea of, "you can make your point without mentioning this," even if I disagree with it. But that has never been a consideration of the broader topic of Israel-Palestine before. That topic has always been about using lurid and visceral examples to lend emotive strength or garner reactions before now.
