[X] Just run. There is no way you're defeating that thing.

Considering Devimon beat down seven Champions on his own (well, after a slight power-up from absorbing Ogremon) in canon, plus we've got one inexperienced Champion and one with experience against two practically-permanent Champions?

Noping right out of there.

In this case it's implied that if he "absorbed" Ogremon, he would have DNA digivolved with him to become an Ultimate.

[X] Run to Izzy and the Digimon. All things considered, you probably don't want to fight something on par with Angemon on his home turf.

Run away, but don't split the party

I mean, running away implies running back to Birdramon, since thats our only way off the mountain. I think the option to run back to Izzy and the digimon is essentially "Run back over there, THEN fight", which is not what we want.

-[x] keep your digivice ready in case they get too close. Maybe you'l get lucky and free Leomon. And didn't they say something at the arena about digivices and dark type digimon?

at the arena there was an explicit rule AGAINST using the digivices against dark digimon. We should run, but if they get too close at least we have an alternative.

-[X] Concentrate on your Digivice and wish for help. Maybe you can get it to send a message to the others?

I don't think a digivice can do that, but we already know something the digivice can do, so...

You're right. Changing my vote.

Which is what leaves us with Birdramon separated from all the other Digidestined, who are already scattered all over the place due to the mandatory party split before.
Run towards your group. Decide when you get there because we're choosing the actions for the next couple minutes at most.

What? No, we're going to join up with the group regardless; like I said, unless we're planning on sprinting down the mountain Birdramon is our only way off it, and Izzy would naturally come along if we say run, or even if he just sees us leaving. The choice here is whether or not we want to run when we get there or turn and fight Devimon once we get there. We don't want to fight him, ergo, we pick run.

Seeker rated this insightful, so I'm pretty sure I'm right as to what the options mean. Someone please break the tie?

Okay, now that I've confirmed that using a PS Vita's battery life to determine how long I should wait is maybe not the best idea unless I feel like playing P4G for about half a day...

-Vote Closed!-

Let's get off the mountain before it explodes with Gears. Leaves a few more options than you'd have otherwise.

So, He Clearly Underestimated Your Digisoul... That Helps, Right?
Right. Well, you know one thing right now: you don't want to fight anything that is anywhere near as strong as Angemon at the moment. Probably not ever, given just how quickly TK's partner has gained power.

So you don't even stick around for five seconds, turning and sprinting as fast as you possibly can to the place where Izzy is waiting with your Digimon. "Air! Now!" You snap as soon as you see them, Izzy and Kabuterimon not wasting a second in taking off.

You've never been in such a hurry to climb onto Birdramon before, and it shows, with pulled orange feathers dissipating into nothingness as you scramble for a seat while she takes off, almost slipping and falling over the side. Almost. You're a fair bit more skilled than that.

"What happened down there?" Izzy asks once you're all at a safe altitude.

"Would you like to fight something as strong as Angemon, backed up by Leomon?" You point out, and he nods.

"Good point. Still, what should we tell the others when we get back?" That's actually a good question. Still, it's probably something to consider, given that you had to leave the job half-done in order to have a shot at survival.

You don't answer him just yet, though, focusing on the cold air surrounding you and trying to make out the land beneath you as you fly... wait, where are you flying? Why are you over the ocean!?

"...We have a problem..." You mutter, glancing down, and then at the many separating landmasses around you, as well as the mountain that is now churning out Gears. "We have a big problem."

You need to try and find a place to land. The problem is... where?

Sora's DS: 370/462

Izzy's DS: 263/289

[ ] Try to land back in the city... wherever it is. If the others are okay, it's probably where they're headed back to. (Time: 8 turns. Area Difficulty: Easy.)

[ ] Head back to Gear Savanna. That's where everyone else was, after all. (Time: 10 turns. Area Difficulty: Medium.)

[ ] Hey, what's with that... that's the Overdell, right? May as well make a stop. (Time: 6 turns. Area Difficulty: Easy.)

[ ] You see a landmass that's pretty close, actually. Looks awfully white, though... (Time: 2 turns. Area Difficulty: Hard.)

[ ] If the In-Training Digimon could survive in that jungle for so long, it must be safe! (Time: 7 turns. Area Difficulty: Medium.)

[ ] Maybe you should go a bit west... (Time: 6 turns. Area Difficulty: Medium.)

[ ] More crags... Joy. (Time: 7 turns. Area Difficulty: Hard.)

[ ] You know, it's not too late to go back to Infinity Mountain... (Time: 1 turn. Area Difficulty: Very Hard.)

...did...did Devimon split the island!?

Hmm... I wish I knew how many total "turns" we have. There's time for a stop somewhere if it's at least 10, though I'm not sure how much logical sense it makes in-story to not try to reconvene with the others ASAP. Maybe for resting purposes, but meta knowledge tells us we'll be encountering something regardless. What to do...

Minimum of 21 turns.

The turn count is more there for 'how many times will I have to roll DS loss'. And, depending on the dice, you may run into hostiles as soon as you land, which means you want to still have Champions. Also, if DS somehow gets below ten percent, I'll roll for sickness the next day, so you may want to avoid that.

ok, we want to get the f*** away from the water. Our perk really nerfs us there.

Not sure where to go, except "not back". I'm actually surprised it's even an option!

I'll tentatively vote for

[x] You see a landmass that's pretty close, actually. Looks awfully white, though... (Time: 2 turns. Area Difficulty: Hard.)

both because it's the closest (we do need the DS) and also because if someone has to deal with the hard challenges it better be us!

I am willing to change my mind if someone has a better idea.
that monster!

We already split the party, we should probably unsplit it.
