[] Create a Elemental cultivation manual (earth, Be grand like a mountain, unbreakable like the strongest metals, Improve yourself like your cultivating you land) (Imposing mountain, Strong metals, Self-Improvement)(earth element) 50 WQ
[]Create Elemental site: The Ruins of A past Civilization(no name of who built it in the ruins)(Earth Element) 50 WQ: You can tell you've entered the ruin site once you see the unusually hard ground(50 meters away, after walking for a bit more you'll the remains of a wall, with and divit showing the filled in entrance, the proper ruins themselves are 100(diameter) meters across. to begin with the ruin will be filled with dirt and debris. The walls are covered in both the teachings on the elemental manual made above, and imagines of cultivators doing things (ex. Creating mountains, casually taking hits from mythical beasts, Mediating in the same place through countless seasons unaging, etc.) In the ruins you'll be able to learn the cultivation manual by following the pictures (depends on comprehension) or by reading one of the many stone tablets around the ruins. The current Elemental spot surronds 50 meters around the ruins with a weak concentration going 20 meters deep and 6 high. (the actual layout of the ruins when follow uncovered is a many roomed building meant to house the most it can in the most concentrated spot to cultivate, with every room containing a tablet and instructional pictures) (around the building ruined build there is a circle about 3 times the size that has a lower concentration of earth element that causes the ground to be harder and is where most of the mutations for the plants and animals will happen)

So this turn I'll create the cultivation method that is inside the ruins and create the entire ruins, Surrounding the ruins is a week concentration of the earth element. the ruins themselves will be a circle and will be completly filled with dirt, Next turn I'll make the proper ruins into a decent earth elemental spot.

The total effective area would be a circle with a 200 diameter and the out 50 on both sides will be weak Qi, while the entire 100 meters will be decent qi.

Character Perspective:
After the message finishes Brian puts it to the back of his mind, he has the kings children to teach after all. Today's lessons are on the major Archeological digs in recent history and the effects each of them has had on the kingdom. Which should he focus on today? The dig of Zugone, where they managed to find a piece together many techniques thought lost to time. The site of Manbe, where they discovered many lost artifacts that have been Cataloged and preserved for study and viewing pleasure. Or Jemba, where they found the biggest catch of societial knowledge found in a ruin yet. All three of them are the biggest finds of the three categorizes most often found in ruins. In the end he decides to Teach about the site of Jemba, where many interesting ideas still come from after hundreds of years of study.
Finished with the lesson's for today Brian Contemplates in the room set aside for him to teach the royal children while saying the customary hour after the lessons ended if anyone needed to talk to him. During this hour he debates on what he want to do exactly with the knowledge that he is a Qi Refiner. Judging by the fact that no major changes has happened he'll work with the assumption that very few people have become qi refiners besides him if any. However he'll spend the next year watching extra closely for any major changes in Leafate, heed even spend the extra effort to watch for any changes in Priam and Luvinia. If he catches signs of anything extraordinary happening in the other kingdoms then he'll be content in working slowly and steady in leafate. If not he'll have to go on a journey through the world to spread qi all by himself. After all the message did say, the world will ascend.
Since it seems like the world hasn't blown up while he's been waiting and seeing how he know has free time he leaves the palace to go to the own manor, a perk of being the royal tutor. Once inside he sequesters himself into his study and decides that the first action he'll take is to create a manual for others to be able to cultivate. Going with a theme he decides on one that he believe almost every person in Leafate would understand Because of all the mountains protecting our glorious kingdom with the fortifications all over, the earth element.
While he's fleshing out the manual before committing to a final theme, he starts think of a location to do his first major project as a Qi Refiner. However he startles slightly when he thinks of near his family's land he actually see's the entire thing from a up high view. Calming down he realizes he can zoom all the way down to the ground as if he's standing right there, getting lost in the sensation of seeing somewhere he's not he reflectively knocks a bush out of the way only to freeze as he realizes he can actually interact with the surroundings, Zooming his view out as far as he can he can see over the entire kingdom. Deciding to focus back on his study he spends a Couple minutes relaxing until a broad smile spread across his face as he figures out he doesn't actually have to leaves his house to do any of his plans. Quickly scouting out potential locations he finds many however in the ends up settling on a location near to a town under his families land that's near the wilderness, even better one of his trusted friends that live there reports to him on general happening of the area.
With the location selected he Finalize the theme of the book and makes it, Once that is down he figures out the logistics of his plan. For you see he's going to take advantage of one of the most prevalent things in his kingdom, Ruins. He'll make a 100 meter wide ruin running 3 stories bellow the surface (10 meters). The top layer acting as a second story to the original build will the second was the convential ground floor, finally the bottom layer would have been underground in the original structure. The original purpose of the structure will have been for teaching many disciples the manuals he made and concentrating the Earth elemental qi in the area. Sadly with the time that has passed the entire building has been filled with dirt and debris. If properly excavated in every room on the bottom floor they'll find tablets with the complete cultivation manual prescribed on it with and the surronding walls with fadded pictures of examples of how to properly cultivate. The second floor (ground) they'll find slightly bigger rooms then the floor below with the rooms walls being filled with pictures of Men easily fighting beasts of legend, and men mediating through many seasons with everything around him aging and him staying the same. In the back of the floor is what was formally a library. Finally at the top floor is rooms the same size as bellow however each room is differnt as if they were personal rooms for specific people. Taking a step back he thinks and realizes that the tablets should be in a differnt language and not the current one, thinking of a solution he makes every tablet be completly unreadable untill someone stands within the room and whatever language they use the manual is written in that language. Thinking a little further he decides that anyone who cannot read who is directly touching the tablet gets it read in the own voice out loud as long as they are touching the tablet.
With the ruin complete Brian fills it with dirt and finally gets to the second thing he will use his Wisps of Qi for, he goes to create a elemtal spot covering the entire ruin and 50 meters in each direction away from it, Trying to create a decent density earth element in the ruins themselves and a low density outside. However right when He's about to start he stop somehow knowing that he cannot create to different density spots at the same time. Stumpt for a bit since he wanted it to seem like the building used to concentrate the Qi into the area and since its been damage it slowly going back to how it originally would be. He ends up deciding to make Split his project in two and he creates a Weak Earth elemental spot 50 meters in all directions away from the ruins and 10 metters deep into the ground. Once the elemental spot is created he intentionally causes a loud rumble to happen at the ruins to uncover the top floor so it will be found. Now he just needs to wait for his friend to send him a letter about the ruin and he can get a fresh archeology team together along with some soldiers(fiend of wildlife) to explore the ruins he just created. After all he hasn't been to a new expedition for a while, and he doesn't need to teach his kids children for a week since the kings going on a trip to a vacation (Noble Traditional event). And since he will be on the expedition he can make sure the ruins are properly a elemental sight when he gets there.

Floor layout All are filled with debrise
Third floor (top) - Only vissible entrance from the outside
Second floor (ground)
Bottom floor - Traditional cultivation rooms for begginners

So My character as established above has been to archeological digs before like every noble has, and like most people in leafate (if you live to 40 you've been to at least 1 dig before) So he knows whats supposed to be found in ruins which is what the debris are for is stuff you would expect to find (broken potter etc.) all have been themed uniquely in the style that he'll be making any ruins he makes from now on (taking inspiration from the oldest civilizations he knows about and the info he's gotten from the message). Going to the ruins himself is so he has an explanation on why he knows atleast this manual and so he can finish the project before anyone actually gets to the bottom floor.

this is probaly going to be the only character prescriptive I do unless I get motivated (Its definitely going to be the longest)

Love it, just one thing, you cant decide when you don't have to work as a royal tutor, I do that, and I will mostly do it when there are special events, if you want to go in person to this far away place, you will need to use one action to go there (coming back is free), one action to work (teach the kids something), and have one free action to do whatever, but if you really want to save an action you can take some of the kids into the expedition, this will limit you (since you have to look after them), and it will be your responsibility that nothing happens to them (their parents will send armed escorts)

next turn one of my actions would be to go to the dig site and make the earth elemental spot in the ruins (since right now its only surrojding them). I didnt know how long each turn is so i just assumed a month or so.
so my plan next turn would look like
[]work
[]go to ruins with archeological team and make thd ruins proper into a decent earth elemental spot
[]other action

so it wasnt me giving my character afree action next turn more setting up free time in universe for his secedule to go to the ruins in person.
Exit: i can remove the bit mentioning the free week i would have in character if neccesary.

mmmm yeah I was thinking of variable time for each turn, short when beginning longer later on, but it might make more sense if its a bit longer than what I had in mind, what do you guys think, should each turn be a week-long or a month-long?

also yeah I was being too strict with the trip there, you can do as originally intended, and make the trip after creating the site.

I'm for month turns unless specified. Our atleast the first turn being a month to give time for the qi refiners to get used to the being qi refiners (unless you get all the knowledge of what you know you can do and how to do it, to begin with). Because after a month of time I'm pretty sure my character would figure out all that's easy to figure out in a months time.
However I might be biased since archeology takes time to happen so I would assume it would take 2-3 months for the ruins to get excavated (because super archeologists, so it goes quicker).

It all depends on how you want the mutations to happen because If it happens quickly then week turns would probably be better but if it takes a while then month turns for now would probably be better. The reason why I think it depends on how fast the mutations happen is because If the wildlife quickly mutates and adapts then the qi refiners need to be able to do stuff faster so they can do stuff to counteract the potential chaos from qi plants and animals.

So I vote for month turns that later become week turns (on turn 5-6, so half a year of slow turns then It ramps up) and once it gets to week turns you can probably get the player cultivators going. If you want to do week turns with them.

(Creek Stats: 6 Body, 13 Mind, 13 Spirit)

Creek rose from her desk, sitting there for a moment in the quiet room. She had been preparing for her journey all night, so it was no wonder that when the sudden wave of relaxation hit her she passed out on the spot. That dream was strange, and at first she denied it. A dream was just a dream, and she would have no reason to believe that someone who hasn't even performed 'The Walk of Life' would be selected for such a thing. Besides that, that's a lot of responsibility to thrust on a kid. Good thing it was just a dream, right?

No, after sitting for a moment and thinking she understood it wasn't. She felt different, stronger. Some kind of force was within her. One that, with some practice, flowed through her much like her name sake might flow through a forest. Creek got dressed, put on her backpack, and left her small room. She would be leaving that morning for her walk, but this was something that Wood needed to know about.

Creek wove through the halls of the ancient building in a bit of a daze, unsure exactly what to make of the situation. She was raised to see the force of Dao in everything, bringing change and life to the world. This, this was different. Or, perhaps it was a purer form. Maybe nothing change about the energy at all and she simply became aware of it's existence. It would be hard to say.

Creek slipped into the library. That is where Wood spent most of the early morning. He was sitting there, reading a book and no doubtably studying every word of it. She approached him and spoke softly.

"Wood? I need to speak with you?"

Wood looked up form his book and smiled when he saw Creek, putting it down. "Creek. What can I do for you?"

Creek sat down beside him and explained her 'dream' to the best of her ability. She honestly couldn't begin to comprehend most of what she saw, so describing it came at a struggle. Wood listened patiently regardless.

"This energy you mentioned, you feel it still I assume. Do you know what it is?"

"Maybe? They said Qi a lot, so maybe it's that, or maybe it's not, I don't-" Creek sighed, finding herself at a loss for words. Then the idea struck her. The heavens had mentioned cultivators, people who could shape the land using this Qi. If she pushed this energy into someone, she imagined she could make them. Wood was devout, smart, and a very calm man. She couldn't think of a better canadine, and it was the best way to get her point across. "Let me show you."

She took the hands of Wood and closed her eyes, attempting to introduce him to the world she had been thrown into. She envisioned her own Qi flowing like a river within her, and so she 'placed stones' in the flow to divert the energy into Wood. She wasn't sure if it would reach him, but she felt in her heat he could do good with it.

(This is her only action. She's attempting to awaken a mortal, in this case a man titled Wood. Everyone in her monastery has some kind of natural/element themed title. You can be awarded for great devotion by the elder monks in the capital a new title that's directly the name of an element. As such, only 5 people in a lifetime can hold this honor. Wood is one of them.

Wood is the leader of Creek's monastery. He's extremely religiously devout, and incredibly intelligent having spent his entire 65+ years of life in religious study. While not directly related to anyone in the monastery, most see him as a father figure.)

The World continued as normal as the Qi Refiners where created, unknowing of the drastic changes that were about to occur in it, Kings continued to rule, some in the best interest of their people and many in their own best interest, Scholars continued to teach their pupils about the rules of realities, some even entertained their pupils with fantastic histories about cultivators and mythical beasts, if they were to know what was coming some would find it exciting, most would think it's terrifying.

In the Kingdom of Leafate:

Brian POV:

Brian continued to teach his students, today they were learning about some of the more important archeological sites in modern history, Luckily for Brian, the kids were too preoccupied writing his explanation of the societal impact of the Jemba site and thought that he was just giving the slower kids some time to finish doing so.

In reality, Brian had just awoken as a Qi Refiner and was shaken to his core, it's not every day that a mysterious voice talks in your head and tells you that you will bring myths to reality, but Brian persevered and after spending 5 hearth beats memorizing the message he did his best to continue the lesson.

This was particularly hard considering he felt so full of energy he could barely keep himself from jumping around.
At the end of the lesson, Melani, the second princess of Leafate came to him to ask some questions about the class, and Brian did his best to keep a calm and composed demeanor, but as hard as he tried Melani seemed to notice that something was bothering him, and after assuring her that there was nothing wrong, she left him to his own devices.

Brian for his part was glad Melani left him alone, she was a great kid, but right now he needed to come to terms with what just happened. And it seemed that luck was on his side today, no other kid decided to come to him in the hour he had set up for individual questions, and he used this time to come to terms with what just happened.

As the hour finally ended he briskly walked to his manor, on the walk he considered what he had discovered, he had gained some kind of energy, Wisps of Qi if the voice was to be believed, and these Wisps seem to course through his body, ready to act on his desires, now he just needs to decide what he plans to do with this power.

He could go for something small to test the waters, or for something big to see the limits, but first, he decides to read up on the old myths, he obviously knows them, but a refresher is never a bad idea.

After reading the old legends, he came up with a plan, first Brian decided to make a cultivation manual, since with no knowledge on how to cultivate his next plan would simply not work. Now the process of creating a manual seemed weird, first, he thought on some principles, this would be an elemental manual, making cultivating with it in a place with the same element easier and faster.

Brian took an empty booklet and started to write how the cultivation would work, one would try to grasp the Wisps of Qi in the air and absorb them into their dantian, with a fit of inspiration he added some concepts to the creation "(earth, Be grand like a mountain, unbreakable like the strongest metals, Improve yourself like your cultivating you land) (Imposing mountain, Strong metals, Self-Improvement)(earth element)" hoping for them to help guide the manual in the direction he desired.

After writing all his notes he concentrated on the booklet and channeled his Qi into it, all the while mentalizing what he wanted to accomplish, he felt his Qi rush into the booklet leaving him breathless and weakened, almost losing his concentration but Brian managed to persevere and as the small book started to float from his hands and the room around him started to shake, all his plans for the manual coalescing into the book, the book getting an ever stronger mystical glow, and after some time the book started to lose this ethereal glow, descending ever so slowly into Brians waiting hands.

rolled 8+50(Qi)-20(cost)+5(for creative description)+15(Mind mod)+3(half Soul mod) = 61. Needed 50.
Success, Earth Elemental manual created, users can cultivate up to the breakthrough of Qi gathering to Qi Condensation. And gain a bonus when cultivating in an Earth saturated environment, manual grade is Learned Mortal grade.

Grades are the followings: Mortal>Earth>Sky>Heavens>Godly
Each grade is subdivided by: Begginer>Learned>Master>Peak

Exhausted Brian collapsed into his chair, and let sleep take him. He awoke the next day, and had a moment of panic before realizing that luckily he hadn't missed any of his classes, well, he hadn't missed them if he was fast on his feet and went NOW, quickly hiding the booklet in his wooden chest, he went to his class at a fast pace but all day he was distracted about what he planned to do next.

After three days were Brian rested and saw his Wisps of Qi regenerate he decided to take the next step. Inspired by his previous success, Brian decided to go for something BIG, something that will attract people from all around the Kingdom, an Elemental site, a place so full of elemental Qi, that cultivating said element in this place will be much easier, and when people get his manual, their cultivating speed would soar.

While thinking of a good place for the Elemental site he startles slightly when he thinks of a land near his family's territory, he somehow sees the entire thing from a birds-eye view. Calming down he realizes he can zoom all the way down to the ground as if he's standing right there, getting lost in the sensation of seeing somewhere he's not he reflectively knocks a bush out of the way only to freeze as he realizes he can actually interact with the surroundings, Zooming his view out as far as he can, he sees over the entire kingdom. Deciding to focus back on his study he spends a couple of minutes relaxing until a broad smile spread across his face as he figures out he doesn't actually have to leave his house to do any of his plans.

Sitting in his bed in the lotus position, Brian relaxes and concentrates on the perfect place for the Elemental site, after some searching, he ponds the place, between some mountains near one of the towns, in his family territory he finds a place that for some reason is completely barren of life, like the sun itself has dried all the plants, it is in this place that Brian decides to build his own ruins of a mysterious lost civilization.

He'll make a 100-meter wide ruin, running 3 stories below the surface (10 meters). The original purpose of the structure will have been for teaching many disciples the manuals he made and concentrating the Earth elemental qi in the area. Sadly with the time that has passed the entire building has been filled with dirt and debris.

If properly excavated in every room on the bottom floor they'll find tablets with the complete cultivation manual written on them, the surrounding walls with faded pictures of examples of how to properly cultivate.
On the second floor (ground) they'll find slightly bigger rooms than the floor below, with the walls of the room being filled with pictures of Men easily fighting beasts of legend, and men mediating through many seasons with everything around him aging and him staying the same.

In the back of the floor is what was formally a library. Finally at the top floor is rooms the same size as below however each room is different as if they were personal rooms for specific people. Taking a step back he thinks and realizes that the tablets should be in a different language to demonstrate that this is a lost civilization, thinking of a solution he makes every tablet be completely unreadable until someone stands within the room and whatever language they use the manual is written in that language.

Thinking a little further he decides that anyone who cannot read who is directly touching the tablet gets to hear it in their own voice out loud as long as they are touching the tablet.
Rolled 33+50(Qi)-30(cost)+5(for creative description)+5(for detailed instructions)+8(half Mind mod)+5(Soul mod) = 76 Good succes
Created a weak site for Earth Cultivation, small buff for Earth cultivators.

After finishing his planning Brian uses the last of his waning strength to cause a heavy rumbling all around the ruins, causing some rockfalls in the mountains and if luck is on his side directing the local people to come and look at his Elemental site

Once finished Brian collapses onto his bed with a big smile on his face, the future looks promising.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Kingdom of Priam:
Alecto POV:

Alecto also finds herself in the middle of a lesson to her students, when she hears the message, most of the students seem too preoccupied with their test to care about her momentary lack of focus.

And after Alecto manages to come back to reality she starts to look around, did somebody whisper in her ear, but no, this rush of power she feels can be a trick she takes a wooden cup to drink and calm herself and barely manages to sop before shattering it accidentally, after that she spends all the class time sitting and answering some questions.

After class Alecto decides to go do something big, the heavens want her to ascend the world she will ascend the world all right.

First, she goes to the market and buys a small wooden shrine with a floral theme, then she goes into the forest, away from civilization she walks for about 1 hour and a half until she finds the perfect tree, sitting in a meadow is a huge oak tree that has grown to a magnificent size, she gently and almost respectfully walks up to the tree and places the shrine, then she goes to her knees and places both hands on the tree.

Alecto starts to remember one of her most loved memories of nature, Once in a dream, she saw a tree so massive it seemed to swallow the sky. As the sunset, the tree seemed to glow. It's leaves capturing the beauty of the sky. Pink, and Gold. Glowing and Beautiful. Then the sun was gone, and the night was black. No moon rose to greet her. No stars shone out. The was only the tree, black against a black sky, and it's glowing leaves.

Being inspired by that memory Alecto starts to give the tree Wisps of Qi, concentrating on what she wants, the tree will be the center of a small elemental site, but it would be a growing elemental site, as the tree grows and reproduces the site will grow in length and in power, also there when the time comes for the tree to reproduce it will shed the light in its leaves and this light will transform into golden moths that will help it spread its seeds and if a mortal is touched by one of these moths they will have a small chance to get one Wisp of Qi.

Ever so slowly her Qi starts to drain and she starts to feel week, but before she can have second thoughts, she feels another mind connect to her, its weak and young while also being incredibly old.
-"Mother?"
Rolled 75+100+5(for creativity)+5 (for detailed instructions)+5(Soul Mod)+5(half Mind Mod) total 195
Created a holy site for Nature Cultivation, huge buff for nature cultivators, and a big one for non-conflicting cultivators (death/rot cultivators get a big malus), created Mithycal creature, sapient Tree cultivator name pending

In the Kingdom of Luvinia:

Creek POV:

Creek was tired after preparing for her journey, the walk of life was serious business, and she needed to be prepared, so its no surprise that when she felt the relaxing feeling of awakening as a Qi Refiner, she started to fall asleep, luckily for her, the bost of energy allowed her to stay in a semi-conscious state where she managed to get most of the message, some stuff she simple lost due to exhaustion, but most she managed to retain.

After some hours of much-needed rest Creek awoke from her impromptu nap, half remembering a weird dream about Qi, cultivators, and myths, she quickly dismissed it as some strange dream, but as soon as she took a step she found herself face to face with a wall, that was 4 meters from her (13 feet) just a second ago, a little bit spooked Creek turned around and tried to take a step in the opposite direction, only to feel some kind of energy course through her body and send her next to the opposite wall.

After some time f̶r̶e̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ pondering this situation, she decided to go talk with Wood, he was incredibly wise, he should know what to do, the first part of the walk to the library was nerve-racking, the energy seemed to want for her to dash at full speed and Creek needed to use a lot of focus in keeping it in line, but after some time walking she started to gain better control of it, and the second half of her walk was more tranquil.

Finally, after arriving at the library, Creek found Wood reading a book no doubt studying it to memory, she walked up to him and told him.

"Wood? I need to speak with you?" her words were tinged with anxiety something the old Wood was quick to notice

Wood looked up from his book and smiled when he saw Creek, putting it down. "Creek. What can I do for you?"

Creek sat down beside him and explained her 'dream' to the best of her ability. She honestly couldn't begin to comprehend most of what she saw, so describing it came as a struggle.

The first thing Wood noticed was power, raw power like he had never felt before, flowing out of Creek like a surging river, and smashing into him. He felt this power fill his dantian and empower him, pains of old age fading, skin regaining elasticity, his very soul felt empowered, but all too soon he felt full, he had absorbed all he could of this new power, this Qi, as Creek called it, and it dawned on him that this was barely a tenth of what Creek was sending at him.

Luckily for both of them, Creek noticed that she has redirected too much Qi into the man, it was too late to redirect it again, and Wood would have to endure being filled with more than eight times of what he could absorb, Creek sensed that that would have catastrophic consequences, so she did the only thing she could think of, if Wood body couldn't take more energy, then let the Qi transform his body into something that could take the energy, it was a desperate attempt to fix a mistake born of ignorance, how could she know what was too much Qi for a single person, so as Creek commanded her Qi to change Wood but keep him being him.

Wood felt his fullness increasing, painfully so, until a sudden pop, and the energy flooded his body, changing it in a myriad of imperceptible ways, and just as soon as it started it ended, with Wood feeling winded, but more energetic and strong than in years, he felt like he was 25 again with a profound amount of power. Creek on the other side felt weak worse than all her training sessions combined, the last thing she saw before fainting was the old man Wood shocked face as he rushed to catch her.

Rolled 78+100-2(Cost)+5(Soul mod)+5 (half Mind mod)= 186 needed 10! Weird shit happens. Wood is now at peak Qi gathering, Wood max Wisps of Qi capacity increased by 2, Wood body is attuned with the Wood element

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this part was really difficult for me so please don't be angry if you think you deserve more points or somebody deserves less, the creativity points are totally personal, and decided by how much I liked what you wrote, and are there as an incentive for you guys to write interesting stuff.

Max Wisps of Qi rewards:

[X]work.
[X]finish the earth elemental site by making a decent earth elemental site over/in in the ruins (instead of around like how the weak one is), if there's enough free time join expedition to the 'newly discovered ruins' 80 WQ
[X]Create a water elemental manual (flow, liquid, life) (the flowing liquid sustains all life) (Water) 60 WQ

So This turn brian will be finishing the elemental site he started and go on the expedition to it if he's able.

I'm making a water elemental manual this turn. I'm hopping it will be about the same level as the earth one.

My idea is to make 4 beginning manuals ('low potential') of earth, water, air, and fire. each with there own site. Once thats done I'll make a new manual which I'll pour all of the wisps of qi that I have in it that is the states of mater.

Matter cultivation manual (Water can be naturally be in three observable states, Ice when its freezing(cold), Steam when its boiling(hot), Water when its between the two) Requirements to cultivate manual: 1 fire elemental manual learned, 1 earth elemental manual learned, 1 water elemental manual learned (Abilities: early: make matter in one state act like another (ex. gas acting like a liquid), mid: Change matter between one state and another, Late: Change things into other things (dirt into iron, coal into diamonds. etc.), Complete: Create Matter from 'nothing') Nothing can actually be nothing or it can be from qi or atoms up to lazy.

Above is the idea of the best manual of the civilization of ruins i'm building. You have to properly understand the properties of the required elements to be able to cultivate the manual. @LazyHedonist would that be fine or not?

It's a cultivation world So Cultivators would assume that the other states of matter isn't natural/because of cultivation plus brian may be smart so I'm fine with him knowing about liquid, solids, and gases. However I'm extremely skeptical that he would know about the other rarer ones (plasma etc.).

If the above gets a ok from lazy once I finish making all the ruins for that civilization, my current plan after that is to make one ruin from each element (fire, water, air, earth) And make a Peak version of those manuals and create one ruin for each on and have it so these ruins are from an even earlier civilization and they were all peak sects that wiped eachother out at the same time, and the ruins that have been found already (matter civilization) came after them and combined what they understood from each destoryed sect into the the matter cultivation manual which then through the length of however long they lasted got refined into the peak matter cultivation manual. (basically if my guy cant make a peak manual when he eventually attempts to make the matter manual those manuals are just old ones that havent been fully refined yet :p)

when i say peak i mean Godly

Alecto is very startled to be called Mother. She had never intended to have children, but she refuses to be like her father that man.

"If you wish me to be your mother, I shall do my best. If you need a name... would Themis be to your liking?"

She spends several hours tending to her new child/tree. Teaching them about the area, the basics of human nature, and the most common alphabet in Priam. Alecto then grasps ninety Qi, and begins teaching Themis how to properly cultivate nature Qi.

Nature will find a way.
You are a creature who drinks in the Earth and breathes out the Sky. Lightning will strike you, once, twice, a thousand times, and you will live on. You will heal. You will bloom in Spring, and shed your leaves in August. You will continue to grow ever higher. When a tree exhales it tries to invite rain, when the forest exhales it demands it. Roots keep water in the ground, and soil from the ocean. Fires will roam, consuming the dead, the unlucky, fertilizing the ground, giving way to new life.

Having imparted her lesson Alecto returned to the city of Orontes. Absentmindedly sending off a letter to the witch informing her she was now a grandmother. Before giving a quick math lesson on how to calculate tax to some of her more recurring students.

Alecto: 145qi-90=55qi left over

(Action Summary: Creating a non-elemental manual that focuses on Tai-chi and meditation as a means of cultivation. She would be working closely with Wood to teach him these things as she wrote it, and would give the book to him after she finishes so he could then teach it to whoever he pleases.

Creating a nature-oriented sight out of the monastery's central garden. The plants within will become overgrown and eating from it will 'restore the body and mind' in the sense that it will remove battle/training fatigue, soreness, and ease anxiety/fear. She'll keep the concentration as low as she can while still getting the effect described above, so she'll cap it's saturation at whatever the minimum for this would be. She'll spend at most 100Qi on this, so she'll convert as much of the 80x90ft (24.3x27.4 meters) garden as she can without going over.

Departing on her assigned journey, the Walk of Life. It has no real destination, so she'll just leave with her supplies and begin wandering.)

Creek's head was spinning. She woke in her room, and there was no telling how long she had been out. Everything was sore, and for a fair amount of time she just laid there. Her Walk of Life, and the events that had happened earlier was far from her mind. She just wanted to sleep...

"Wood!" She shot upright as the realization hit her. She almost killed the man! "Oh yeah, let's just push a surplus of an energy I don't understand into my mentor, brilliant Idea Salia," she muttered to herself. Despite her body aching she pulled herself from the bed and practically threw the door open. The door ricocheted back at her as it slammed into someone. Creek turned the corner to see her mother clutching her face.

"Oh, mom! I'm so sorry!"

"It's perfectly alright my dear, I'm just thankful to see you're awake. And clearly not any weaker."

"How long was I out? Where is Wood? Is he-"

"Easy Creek, easy. Wood is perfectly fine. We've been told what happened, and it sounded like you revitalized him in a sense. Honestly, we were all more worried about you. You've been out for over a few days."

"A few days?" Her eyes widened somewhat. She definitely overdid it, then. "I'm sorry for worrying you, but a lot has changed. Where is Wood? I need to talk to him."

Creek and her mother walked to outside one of the classrooms. Wood had not personally lead a martial arts lesson in a very long time, but by just looking at him one could tell he was in a far better physical condition than he was just a few days ago. Creek was patient, not wanting to interrupt his class. She spent the time instead figuring out exactly what her plan was. She was able to pass this energy on to others, and there was a lot she simply understood she could do with it without really needing to be taught. She wanted to leave the monastery every resource she could. Wood was far more clever than she was, so she figured if she left him the resources necessary to cultivate and shape that energy, he could awaken and teach the monastery about it as he saw fit.

Once the training session had ended, Creek slipped into the room and approached Wood.

"Creek! I am glad to see you have awakened."

"I'm glad to see you're OK. Listen, I know this request is a bit unorthodox, but I would like to delay leaving for a time." Creek then launched into her spiel about what she hoped to leave behind. After some discussion and negotiation, the two came to an agreement about the next few weeks, and Creek was granted the time to do it and recover before departing for her journey.

Creek would spend a lot of time in the library and working with Wood, crafting a book that would leave accessible instructions needed to cultivate Qi that anyone could benefit from. At the surface, the book read like a self-help book. It delved into meditative practices and tai-chi instructions, but was designed to help young refiners handle and work with Qi. She would teach Wood the practices as she went along, and would leave the book with him to use as a guide. He could teach from it, and it would benefit the monastery greatly.

After finishing the book, Creek approached the far harder task. She walked to the center of the monastery's garden, and sat on the edge of the pond, her legs dipped in. She reached to the ground and began attempting to work with it, crafting a space of Qi energy and peace. She approached this task with far more caution, feeding Qi into the space drop by drop to ensure she didn't overdo it. She knew the dangers of creating a concentrated space, and did not want to drag anything unwanted into her home. As she worked, she envisioned what she wished the final product to be, and hoping to reach it.

Once her work was done, she would take a day or two to recover from the exhaustion and then depart for her walk. What would happen with what she left behind would depend on Wood, but she did what she could.

(A more detailed description of the elemental site: The 80x90ft / 24.3x27.4m garden was filled with fruits and vegetables, planted neatly in rows with a lot of bare dirt showing. The garden had cobblestone walkways that connected the surrounding buildings and the occasional small pond, with a much larger one in the center of the garden. The smaller ponds were for watering crops. The central one was for sitting in and meditating.

The low energy manifests by causing the plants to grow more wildly and not need manual watering. They'll look 'alive' by the colors of the plants being more saturated and bright. Any exposed dirt will be consumed by plant life, but the ponds and walkways will be free of plants still. What's more important is the effect the food would then carry. Eating anything grown in the site would cause any soreness or mild pain to vanish. It would also ease fears and anxiety by creating a sense of tranquility that overrides anything else. The food cant heal actual wounds or erase intense pain, just act as a mild painkiller.

Creek is being exceptionally cautious and will keep the concentration as low as it can be while still achieving the above effect. Since making the manual will drop her to 120 wisps, she won't spend over 100Qi on the site. She'll try to convert the whole garden, but the limit matters more than the size. She'll get as large as she can at the concentration without going over 100Qi. )

quick update, edited my second post to give more info on the system and finished Alecto part on the next post now I just need to work n Brians and Creek

OK sorry for the delay, procrastination is a bitch : P

Alecto POV:

Alecto spends some time with her new "Child?".
- "If you wish me to be your mother, I shall do my best. If you need a name... would Themis be to your liking?"

- "I'm very confused, I know I existed before now, but my memories are slow and confusing, I remember growing ever upwards towards the Life-Giver. enduring the cold of the horrible times, and enjoying the warmth of the nice times, but I feel like I was in a half-conscious state and I have just awoken, I'm learning to communicate and think more clearly by the second, I think I like to be Awake so for that I thank you, Mother. I don't know any names beyond yours so any would do."

Suddenly becoming a mother of a creature way older than you but that only has gained sentience in the last minute is a weird experience to be sure, but Alecto perseveres and tries her best to teach her new child human concepts such as compassion, love, lies, and violence for while she hopes the world will receive her child with open arms she wants them to be prepared for the worst.

After spending the best half of the day with Themis. Alecto decides to impart them a cultivation technique as a parting gift, and tells them she will try to come as often as she can.

One is All

Rolled 57+90(Qi)-20(cost)+5(for creative description)+10(Mind mod)+3(half Soul mod) = 145. Needed 50
Success, Nature Elemental manual created, allows a cultivator to cultivate up to the peak of Qi Gathering. And gain a bonus when cultivating in a Nature saturated environment, manual grade is Beginner Earth grade.

Having imparted her lesson Alecto returned to the city of Orontes. Absentmindedly sending off a letter to Matilda, the witch that "adopted" her, informing her she was now a grandmother. Before giving a quick math lesson on how to calculate tax to some of her more recurring students.

Almost as an afterthought, Alecto decided to give Matilda a little surprise and put some Wisps of Qi in the letter so when Matilda finishes reading the letter she would awaken to the world of Qi, after making sure that it would only affect the witch and not the letter currier she sent it and decided to wait for a response.

Rolled 87 + 15 - 2(Cost) + 5(Soul mod) + 5(half Mind mod) = 110. needed 10. perfect awakening. Matilda is now at peak Qi gathering.
Matilda Awakens as a cultivator

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Creek POV:

After her recent scare Creek decided to do some less dangerous work, first she took upon herself to make a cultivation manual, a way for people to gather Wisps of Qi without her, and without the danger of gathering too much, she spent around half a week researching the old legends and writing the book, the legends were not much help, talking about powerful people but not how they got their power, luckily Wood pointed her in the direction of breathing exercises and tai-chi, which while not mystical, allowed one to calm their mind and better absorb Qi.

Rolled 52 + 85(Qi) - 10(cost) + 10(Mind mod) + 3(half Soul mod) = 140. Needed 30
Success, Non-Elemental manual created, allows a cultivator to cultivate up to the peak of Qi Gathering, manual grade is Beginner Earth grade.

Now that they had a manual the only thing that was left was to create a place to cultivate, Wich Creek took quite literally choosing the garden of the monastery, sitting in the middle of it in the lotus position she started to calm her mind, to control her emotions and body, and to ever so slowly pour wisp by wisp Qi into the earth of the garden.
Too afraid to simply throw Qi a the idea and hope it worked she went for the methodical approach, and slowly but surely the garden started to absorb the qi she was giving ever so hungrily but she kept a tight leash on her power and only allowed a small portion to seep into the place

Rolled 22 + 30(Qi) - 10 (cost) + 5 (Soul mod) + 5 (half Mind mod) =52
Succes, Weak Non-Elemental Site created, Helps all cultivators cultivate, added restorative resources

When Creek decided the garden had gotten enough Qi she stood up and went to Wood who was waiting nearby, Creek explained the new properties of the garden and bid Wood goodbye, she had a journey to do.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brian POV

Brian had plans, big plans. He wanted to do something both powerful and symbolic, first, he would create an elemental manual for each element, then when people had all four source elemental manuals, they would be able to combine their teachings into one all-powerful manual that allowed them to eventually create, transform and destroy matter. But like all great minds, he found problems plenty in his plans, the first was that people who cultivated an element basically renounced all others, and while powerful manuals would allow a person to cultivate various elements, he couldn't find a way to combine opposite elements, such as fire and water or earth and air.

But Brian was not easily deterred, he decided that even if people couldn't cultivate all four elements, they could still read them, and with the knowledge gained they could combine all the secrets in the manuals and create the matter cultivation, yes it will be glorious, cultivators are the future and he will be the one that points their path.
The second elemental manual that Brian decided to create was the water manual, following what he learned he got to work and after three days of work he mange to exceed his own expectations
rolled 86+60(Qi)-20(cost)+15(Mind mod)+3(half Soul mod) = 144. Needed 50.
Success, Water Elemental manual created. Users gain a bonus when cultivating in a Water saturated environment, manual grade is Beginner Earth grade.

Brian could instantly feel that this manual was leagues above his previous one, which made him feel sad about his previous manual and happy about this new one, but not being one to mope he decided to take this as a clear proof of his improvements, and set on filling the interior of the Earth ruin with Qi

Rolled 11+80(Qi)-30(cost)+5(for creative description)+5(for detailed instructions)+8(half Mind mod)+5(Soul mod) = 84 Good succes
Created a decent site for Earth Cultivation, small buff for Earth cultivators.

Exhausted Brian fell to his bed he had a trip to organize tomorrow and needed some sleep desperately.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Max Wisps of Qi rewards:
Brian: +5 for participating + 10 for complex and detailed planning + 10 for general creativity
Alecto: +5 for participating + 10 for first manual +5 for general creativity
Creek: +5 for participating + 10 for first manual + 10 for creating the basics for the first sect +5 for general creativity + 5 for general world-building (writing a lot in character)

Total Wisps of Qi:
Brian: 165
Alecto: 165
Creek: 170

Again this is super subjective, pls don't do the angory

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, Now, NOW comes the interesting part, the part that I briefly said was gonna happen but then didn't say anything about it… UNTIL NOW!!. WE ARE BRINGING MORE PEOPLE TO PLAY IN THIS WORLD.
I will make a new post for the cultivators, and then they will have to choose in what kingdom they want to start in, afterward, you guys will have to check two whole different treads to know what's going on MUAAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ.
No, but for real, I am so pumped to start this other tread and allow the cultivators to run in this world. You guys can decide to grant these cultivators, boons, trials, and whatever you wish, (you cant outright kill them tho), and they will appear as either important people or random peps in the right place at the right time.
Any opinions before I make the first post are appreciated

Some info about the new thread:
I will allow a max of 6 cultivators, 2 per kingdom
You guys can only give them Qi directly to awaken them no more than that, but you can help/hinder in other ways
The cultivators can be both good and bad, the only thing I won't allow is forced sex cause that's just not ok
You guys will have a secret weapon in-case you get attacked, I'm not saying what it is until it happens
Updates will probably slow down, pls be understanding
Feedback and ideas about how to run the second thread are always welcomed
And that's about it for now, I will notify you guys when I make the second thread

So will we need to unlock the qi of cultivators? because if so then I'll have this for an action this turn. If not I can countinue doing my slow and steady plan :p. (also known as making the last two elemental manuals this turn, and then next turn unlock peoples qi if needed when they find the manual in the ruin)

[?]Once you get to the ruins discreetly unlock the qi of as many people as you can. 100 WQ

I would prefer to have the above question answered before I write up my plan for this turn.
edit: Im going to bed in a hour or so, so my actions will be up tomorrow.

Last edited:
ahh cool then im not going to do it because for my plans to go through I need to manage my actions carefully. Like just making the basic manuals and the sites for each one is going to take atleast 8 action. plus more for anything weird I want to do with it (4 actions for manuals 1 actions per stie minimum).

Oh yea I've been mining to ask if we make techniques do we have to make individual or can I have my character make sets for each element ex. []Create a set of Earth elemental techniques, Defence, Offense, Mobility, and a utility technique. (then I explain what each does)
Or would I have to make each technique by itself because I could see both working However I think I would only ever make a ser of generic techniques to save on actions if I would have to spend a action on each technique.

So Because above didn't get answered I have two different plans this turn:
Plan 1 Techniques:
[]Work
Gotta keep working
[]Create a Basic Earth Elemental set of techniques meant to be used with the manual already made. 85 WQ.
Created Background: Since you cant have multiple elemental manuals the Matter sect Created a Set of techniques for each of the 4 elements they teach the sect before teaching those showing promise the matter manual. Each set of techniques showcased the element that they were designed for and were taught to whichever disciple that wanted to learn. Each set contained: Something For Defense, Something For Offense, Something For Mobility, And A utility move. If someone masters and learns and masters all four of one type of move they can discover the Matter technique for that type. If done so the matter sect would give the person access to all the matter techniques and manuals. (If you learn and master the four elemental versions before learning the matter version, after you get the matter version you will be more powerful then anyone just starting on the matter version, can go back to master the other elements versions for boosts latter(Better foundation trope)).
Earth Techniques:
Offense: Have your Momentum a rolling bolder that creates a unstoppable landslide, with your tools being the sharpest metal. (Inspiration a bolder falling down a mountain starting a landslide and Conventional medieval metal tools)
Defense: Sturdy Like a mountain, as tough as Titanium
Movement: Split the earth for it will not impede one who is with it (Can travel through the ground without issue, Boosted speed as long as contact with earth)
Utility: Use the earths generosity to grow and heal as all life does. (Healing technique)

What Im doing with them in character: On the way to the expedition Brian realizes that there should be more to these ruins then just a elemental site and a manual. So So Brian Decided to create some more techniques and added them to the ruins library making sure to set up the techniques the same way that
the writing on the elemental manual stones are. Making sure to add destroyed version of the stones with the techniques for every 2 undamaged in the library.

[]Create a Air elemental Manual. 80 WQ (roaming, whimsical, gas)
(air roams around and cant really be contained (it can but not with medieval tech) air can be 'whimsical' being a light breeze or a hurricane, finally air is a gas like how water is a liquid, and earth is a solid)

Description:
Plan 2:
[]Work

[]Create a Air elemental Manual. 82 WQ (roaming, whimsical, gas)
(air roams around and cant really be contained (it can but not with medieval tech) air can be 'whimsical' being a light breeze or a hurricane, finally air is a gas like how water is a liquid, and earth is a solid)

[]Create a Fire Elemental Manual 83 WQ (transformative, Destructive, Wild)
(Fire is naturally destructive which can make it both dangerous and helpful, Helpful in that when properly used it can transform metals enough for the average man to be able to work on them, However if not used properly it is wild and can rapidly spread spread destruction in its wake)

Plan 1 is based around making a basic set of techniques every new initiate of the sect would have to learn after successfully cultivating the earth Element with the manual.

plan 2 is finishing up the basic manuals

So my idea with the techniques is that It would be easier to learn the techniques to a sufficient state then it would be the elemental manuals to give hints that the same could be done with the manuals themselves.
You only need to learn and master 4 of the same type to be able to find out/discover the matter version
ex. fire/water/air/earth Defense mastered = Basic Matter Defense technique

However learning and mastering the base techniques makes the Matter Defense one more powerful. It does this because it combines all the elements together to make the technique. You cant use all the defense techniques at once since they are different elements (I'm assuming you could use all but the opposite if your proficient enough)

Power comparison in general:
1 MED < Basic Matter Defense
2 MED = Basic Matter Defense
3 MED > Basic Matter Defense
3 MED < Proficient Matter Defense

However:
Basic Matter Defense with 1 MED = Proficient Matter Defense
Basic Matter Defense with 2 MED = Expert Matter Defense
Basic Matter Defense with 3 MED = Mastered Matter Defense
Basic Matter Defense with 4 MED = Mastered Matter Defense with 2 MED (2 instead of 1 because they have all 4 of the elemental manuals mastered, also known as mastered basics)

My head comparison for how good you are at a technique: Basic < Proficient < Expert < Mastered

*Mastered elemental defense = MED

Will edit later to add atleast some basic descriptions of the Elemental manuals. edit: Added some basic descriptions.

Alecto returns to her apartment. She hadn't been home in a couple days, but no one seems to have broken in.

With the Qi flowing through her it felt like she was beyond sleep. That was never a good sign. With her new knowledge of the mechanics behind true cultivation, she had realized that she had been sustaining herself off Qi as opposed to mortal means. It wouldn't harm her, but it was a bad habit to get into, especially with what she had planned.

Making herself a nice dinner, she eats while reading one of the miscellaneous texts the traveling book seller recommended. It seems to be a poetry anthology. Perhaps she should share it with Themis? Wild Geese seems to be a good poem to share with a child that was born ages before her, and will hopefully outlive her still.

She watches the sun set over the river from her balcony. It is beautiful.

As the last of the suns light ripples across the water Alecto gathers 50 Qi. It doesn't matter if the effect is very strong, as long as it encompasses the entirety of the river. The Qi flows through, up water falls, down rapids, through tributaries, and though it isn't the strongest behind it the water is just a little more pure. Diseases and parasites will not linger long in this river. Waste and Refuse may enter, but they can no longer taint the waters with poison.

Satisfied with her work, Alecto returns inside to sleep.

some curses can only be brought about by a dreaming mind.

The child Alecto and the Sword Megaera were exchanged once.
The bonds between parent and child were cut. Perhaps to be tied elsewhere.
Megaera took Alecto's place at her father's side, and took all her love for him as well.

Megaera is a peerless blade with which anything can be cut. Beautiful in form and function.

A bond that can be cut, isn't that the same as saying it was worthless?

Alecto wakes in a bad mood. Most of her qi seems to have disappeared when she was sleeping. She contemplates just rolling over and going back to sleep, but ultimately gets up to go about her day.

She ends up nodding off against Themis's trunk. The book of poetry open she had been reading aloud, slips from her hands. Landing open on a poem Alecto had deliberately skipped over.

Good Bones by Maggie Smith

Life is short, though I keep this from my children.
Life is short, and I've shortened mine
in a thousand delicious, ill-advised ways,
a thousand deliciously ill-advised ways
I'll keep from my children. The world is at least
fifty percent terrible, and that's a conservative
estimate, though I keep this from my children.
For every bird there is a stone thrown at a bird.
For every loved child, a child broken, bagged,
sunk in a lake. Life is short and the world
is at least half terrible, and for every kind
stranger, there is one who would break you,
though I keep this from my children. I am trying
to sell them the world. Any decent realtor,
walking you through a real shithole, chirps on
about good bones: This place could be beautiful,
right? You could make this place beautiful.
