Buffy the Vampire Slayer Take Two

Invisible
Picking up a girl as a date is not easy. Even less so when you're one Xander Harris, part of the high school losers club. There were plenty of girls who weren't your friends that you tried to talk up to, but while none of them had a problem talking to you, none of them were actually interested in going with you to the dance. There was a lot of giggling.

Willow was very sympathetic of course, and suggested that she could be your date. A bit awkward of a suggestion, considering how long you've been friends. Taking her on a date? You could do that, but it felt a bit like going with a friend, only with the added awkwardness of it supposed to be romantic. If you were gonna ask a friend, you'd rather it was Buffy, who was the epitome of sexy even if she was uninterested in you, or Amy, who you hadn't known since you were in kindergarten.

It was almost a relief when weird once again showed up in your life, with Cordelia's latest boy toy being beaten by a floating bat. Principal Flutie was almost beside himself trying to clear the area and make sure things were alright. You headed to the locker room to check out what was going on there, and found in red paint the words "LOOK" painted across the lockers. "Now that's not right," you murmured. "I'm looking at no one in the locker room." You gave a short laugh as Buffy studied around. Amy shifted a little uncomfortably standing next to Willow. "Think it's a ghost?" she asked softly.

Giles was of course digging out the books and going through his research on what could attack someone invisibly like that. He was recruiting for the research team as well of course, along with others splitting to ask around if they could find anything more about if anything had happened with Mitch to get him targeted.

[ ]Help Giles research possible invisible beings
[ ]Help Ms Calendar compile a list of missing/dead kids that could be the ghost
[ ]Interview Mitch, Cordelia, and others to see why he was targeted

Poor Willow.

[X]Interview Mitch, Cordelia, and others to see why he was targeted

While I'd like to help Giles, Xander is one of the best choices to talk to others. They might talk to Buffy too, but she's the new kid, not a local. Willow can help Giles while Amy helps Ms. Calendar.

Social action attempt!

This always was a creepy and unfortunate episode. It was good of course, but it didn't really end in a victory where the bullied girl became visible again and got therapy. At least Cordy experienced personal growth and took her first step towards becoming a Scooby.

As that whole invisible government assassins plotline never came up again I'm guessing it was a Proto-Institute thing?
It was also a bit weird that it was the FBI involved instead of the CIA. As far as my non-US understanding of the agencies goes, the FBI really shouldn't be training assassins even if finding them may be in their ballpark.

Cursed Unseen
Tracking down Mitch's buds and talking to them about how he ended up in the hospital was not your idea of a good time. Thankfully it was pretty quick to figure out that they were mad he was targeted, but didn't have a single valid idea of who or what would have gone after him, besides the guess that it's someone jealous he managed to score Cordelia. You headed to ask Cordelia next, only to catch Harmony from an almost deadly fall down the stairs and a brush of someone invisible running past you.

You headed back to report what had happened. The common denominator was pretty obvious: Mitch and Harmony were both involved with Cordelia. It wasn't too much of a surprise that Cordelia had managed to tick someone off enough to have them go after her, but as reluctant as you were to admit it, Cordelia didn't deserve being hospitalized for being a mean queen. That left Willow with Giles researching who the invisible girl could possibly be, while Amy and Ms Calendar worked to try and find a way to make the invisible girl easier to see. Buffy, she did what she did best. She went into hunt mode.

Buffy came back without success from following Cordelia as she got her dress fitted for the dance, but Willow did have a comprehensive list of who might be the invisible girl. It stuck in your throat when Buffy pointed out Marcie Ross, a girl you'd apparently had in your classes, and never noticed. No one had, to the point she'd literally become invisible, instead of just figuratively. And you'd helped to contribute to that. Of course, you had always been busy with your own survival, your own friends.

But. This had happened after Jesse died. After you thought you'd become more aware. And this wasn't someone who'd looked for power. This was someone cursed to this.

[ ]Bury it down in your thoughts. Marcie is too far now, and you don't have a way to fix it anyways
[ ]Try to find a way to turn her visible again to make up for what happened
[ ]Go with Buffy on her hunt to apologize to Marcie
[ ]Write-in
