She snorts. "Who would? They're layabouts and drunks. But they don't need to know the details to start digging up useful information."

You stare at the Tanuki. "Indeed, layabouts and drunks."

She stares back, unrepentantly. "Right. Now tell me the details, I need them."
...Okay, Hijiri is clearly referencing/foreshadowing something about Mamizou's minions. I'm not aware of anything in canon, does anyone have any information or theories?

Sounds like we're going start to shoot for the moon next update.

He's calling Mamizou a layabout and drunk.

[X] [A spirit of purity and vengeance]

I've seen Junko being described as an inverse Boddhisatva.

At this point, she basically achieved the opposite end of Nirvana. She's not quite the original person who was trapped in suffering, she is that person's suffering, having tossed and purified away absolutely everything about herself except her vengeance. And yet, somehow, she still persists, she still exists, and goes on living in spite of having burned away the person she once was.

It would be an interesting contrast. A being of truly pure detachment and a being of truly pure attachment.

Junko, a Chinese spirit.

I'm curious what this stories take on her will be, especially in regards to her relationships with others (and potentially the woman she was before purification).
