So, in effect, she's only doing actual teachings once a week. There can be some value in repeated meditation on a singular text, of course, but it pales in comparison to the wisdom gained from considering actual new topics. That's… entirely unacceptable.
It's pretty bad when Myouren puts that way. It makes me wonder how Miko runs things with the Taoists.
And yet Kyouko remains the only person in the temple I consider a buddhist I could be proud of, and even she has her vices. You have an avatar of the war god devouring meat
Again, that could be a dietary restriction. Forbidding a vampire from drinking, for example, would be akin to the level of self-torture that Siddhartha wished to avoid.
You stare at her for a moment. "So what you are saying is, is that you are still driven by greed then, sister?"

"Greed? Is that what you call it, to actually care about something for once in your life? A foreign impulse to you, I'm sure. Did you ever actually love me at all, Myouren?" She's trembling - in rage, in fear, in despair.
I don't think Myouren faults Byakuren for trying to contact him. He's more upset that she tried for far too long with questionable methods.

However, my opinion will be very different if it turns out Myouren ignored those calls.
She turns her back on you as she leaves the shed. "I won't bother you again."

You watch her leave, saying nothing in response. Only when she is well and truly gone do you speak. "Lying is a sin sister."
Myouren worries about his sister, thus she will continue bothering him even when she doesn't mean to!

I think in the formless enlightened state he could hear her, but not answer without losing enlightenment unless there was more to it than her own personal attachment and desires.

Probably, but as I understand it rather than eating the minimum and minimizing harm(e.g. eating willingly sacrificed flesh, etc) she's feasting.

Give our shoulder fairy some more time to shine! We haven't actively spent much time with her and I want to see how much she can learn and grow.

While I am so curious about Mamizou and Nue's further reaction to Hijiri, I will not stand for our Touhou protag lacking his hat!

I think Byakuren kinda forgot that her brother is a proper Buddha, and they are pretty strict about behavior because that dedicated adherence is how they ascended in the first place. That he was just pointing out problems and giving her a chance to try and rebut them is pretty lenient.

Does it seem rude for him to come in and critique her way of doing things? Abit, but her teachings have deviated while her own behavior has blown up her temple. She earned a nose poke.

Let's take the demon with us to Hell! See if she knows any good tourist spots or snack bars!

Ooh!

Maybe she knows some friends that are willing to convert!

Alas Buddhas are so pure that it's hard for "normal" people to related to them easily as they are too "flawed" with earthly emotions to see things as clearly and without vices.
