Full truth is that
Full truth on what happened and any questions asked, in short only giving relevant information, you aren't going to tell your whole story
Unless you want to but that will likely give the poor fellow a headache
Half truth means you omit the more esoteric to say you stumbled in curious, only to be horrified and find a weapon before doing them in and keeping watch until you fell asleep
Lie basically obfuscates your involvement period

All I can say is to consider local cultural norms of the mundane and magical commuinity

Talking about Magic to nonmagical people/letting normal people know about the mystic world is a big no-no in the nasuverse, But I feel like lying completely about any involvement would seem suspicious since we were there keeping watch.

that's all you say "mask" or "clothing" or "role". But it seems to me that we are all endless mirrors, directed at each other, and from the refractions of light, opinions and desires, creating what we call life and personality. Another person, another facet of this endless kaleidoscope, beautiful and meaningless in its beauty.

It really intresting to see how other people see it all (And now, maybe later i draw all in theyr trye library color. But we always could say that in firs momend we all a bit twisted and not in right place woke up. Not all of us but it sitll take a place to be. And in some moment we understand where we are)

And about places where we are and about that we learning... I learn to be a programmist. It doesn't goes well. But Psichology... Oh... I still remember this terrible and wonderful feel of deconstruction that you expuriense then you lears patterns and found patterns about you. It just incredable,like understanding of word... or understanding how many colors surrounding us, that we just don't notice

Well, I personally received my icon as an order fulfillment once. Back to that slightly traumatic experience when I paid the same artist three times to draw something for me... (Three different commissions... At least fucking something....) And we even met this artist once . We liked each other, and I dared to hope that even now ... But no. It's been over a year since my last order. In short, this is a nightmare that I have come to terms with. Recently, other artists generally began to ignore my commissions. And I pay them for them...

There's a reason I disagree when people say words don't hurt
Words are tools
And just like a hammer they can be used to repair or break things
It's just in the case of words it is the mind they effect and not the corporeal though I believe I read a science magazine that said that data and information could a state of matter
But I digress

And it could be worse for the commissions
They could've made an absolute mockery of what you asked them to make
I tend to find that artists also tend to suffer a backlog of commissions ands its possible yours got lost in the 'flow' as it were

And those three things probably aren't as simple as a liar or a honest person, in fact, I think it's more likely to have truth leading to us being seen as a traumatized child who broke down and hallucinated/invented a story to themself to cope with what happened, half truth leading to thinking there's something strange happening and we were an unfortunate victim of it, and lie leading to thinking we are just an innocent child in a bad situation.

Ok, slight revision to the above, half truth leads to seeing us as traumatized and courageous, this is the one that'll lead to the most questions.

And importantly, the fact that the magic community is willing to kill to protect the masquerade, and really dislike people trying to break it (in fact, one of the rules of the war is to leave no mundane witnesses, so telling the truth is a bad bad idea for their continued survival.).
