Bloody Evolution (RWBY / LoR)

[X] Refuse her
Should a way back be found, then we can pick her up.

Besides, it's not like we're leaving her bereft of another world. There are four abnos alongside her. That, and with Salem gone, there might be quite a bit of stuff to find on remnant.

A temporary depression due to not being able to satiate her young curiosity is better that the one she would succumb to once she fully realizes the consequences. Family, friends, a home and a more certain future than one forever stuck in the library with the possibilities of adventure every now and then, or worse, in the hopelessness of the City. Even if there was a way back later on, it could take years and then she would have to deal with the pain she would have caused to those close to her due to her absence.

She might ask herself "what if?" her entire life, but the weight of such a question would always be lessened by the experiences and bonds she makes during the journey that is life. And with Salem gone and the magical girls remaining, she and Remnant have an eventful but bright future ahead of them.

[X] Refuse her

[X] Accept her desire

She will regret this, but some mistakes must be made before they could be avoided.

[X] Accept her desire

She does not know what she's asking for, and I'm honestly equally torn on saying no or letting her actually suffer the consequences.

[X] Refuse her

Ruby might think she wants to stay in the library, but someone as intelligent as Binah should know that following impulses like that is a bad idea. Don't just let her abandon her friends and family on a whim, especially now that Salem can't threaten Remnant anymore and she can live in (relative) peace.

We've already asked "are you sure?", and there's someone who will let the folks back home know what happened.

This is not a completely self-destructive choice, and Ruby's old enough to start making her own decisions.

It's probably not the decision I would make in Ruby's shoes, but I am not her.

[X] Accept her desire

This is a really divisive vote. While it would be interesting to see how Ruby interacts with the city, is it really worth it? Remnant was a death world, hopefully less of one now that Salem is out of the picture, but the City is a place where almost literally everything runs on human suffering. The Head Librarians are, from a certain point of view, decent enough folks, so she would have support there. But, the city is known for eating up and spitting out people like Ruby, grinding them down into dust, or even less than dust. She could certainly find a niche, maybe even discover the secret to creating a Wing, but I don't know if it's worth it.

exactly. As much as she would be interesting, and I dislike trouncing over peoples desires for the greater good or somesuch-

Staying in the city is not a good decision. While there is every chance that ruby will make a positive impact, I feel like she will end up negatively impacted by this, not to mention what this would do to everyone who cares about her.

unlike your dice roll, I've been convinced:

...that said, if we CAN swing by to remnant again, we should say hi. maybe give her some tutoring.

[X] Indulge her desires,

Consequences have actions.... Or was it the other way around? Meh who cares, you get what I'm saying.

She's already decided to throw away her team, family and friends, to satiate her curiosity.

I think that's the mindset of a true City enjoyed alrightm

I genuinely don't know what to choose.
On one hand, I want to keep Ruby at her home, A single spark of curiosity is not worth the separation and the pain it follows, Joining the library is not a thing that you can just back out that easily.
But... I want to see what will happen.
My curiosity is eating me alive...

Do note that we are basically at the end part of the story now, based on Naron's comments in the past couple of chapters.

And also. We aren't gonna get to see Ruby in action that much if we get more chapters. Mainly because that's just who Binah is.

We aren't Roland, Gebura, Chesed, or any of the more fun Sephirah.

There's a reason Binah is always compared to the literal old grandpa Hokma.

There will probably be 1000-2000 words dedicated to Ruby at best, while the rest would be Binah speaking to the other Sephirahs more.

For example, I would like for us to be present when we break the news to poor Tiphereth about how her friends are all basically leaving her.

eh.
Forget it. I'm just not gonna choose and see what the thread chooses.
That way, if the choice comes out bad, I won't have any guilt! haha!
