[x]Help Them: Be as it may, you were feeling charitable tonight. You were going to help them. You don't know why you are doing this… but something told you that if you didn't there would be more regrets to add to the immortal and ever-growing list of them.

They are not a worthy meal, they are harmless and will be entertaining when he grows up. Besides, "the big evil vampire helped me when we had a time of need" is an interesting detail

Later, we can ask them to help us create a recipe for blood that can saturate us.

Our "hero" is in retirement. He has conquered, killed and outwitted enough beings throughout the millennia, both strong and weak, therefore doesn't feel any meaningful thrill from it. His current hobby (or facade) is being charitable and nice, something he hasn't probably done very often. The form of a supposedly helpless, gullible old man also reinforces that approach.

They're very lucky that we're a retired monster. Most ancient evils aren't nearly so charitable.

Whatever problems helping them cause, it's not our job to fix.

I wouldn't say that he dosen't get a thrill being a complete force of nature, darkness and terror while being a harmless old man Facade.

I wouldn't say that other ancient evils aren't cheritable...

they just normally have a price for their help... usually by turning them into slaves, gouls or other such things.

and don't let the retired monster thing fool you... the Plot is going to find you, whether you want to or not. :V

Before any of you ask...

You will enjoy what I have for the plan.

Retirement is something you will be fighting for.

but you will enjoy it.

A woman and her child, with a broken down car with little cell reception out here, with a broken down car,
Repeated words.

[X]Stalk them: What was it that this girl sensed that you didn't? Was she sensing you, or something else? You shall… watch them. See what will come.

I don't get the impression that we're charitable enough to help when we can tell one of them is going to be a massive headache when he grows up, but something is off here, and I want to know what.

I'd say there's no reason not to.

So basically an average sunday for us

I'm just waiting for the first "Back in my day" line to appear.
And then the world grows darker an unnatural darkness that only creatures of the night can ever call upon.

Or if it's with mortals he's a cocky old man talking about his war stories that everyone listens to because they are the best damn stories ever

I'm getting real vibes of "The Innkeeper is a Retired Adventurer" shenanigans. Methinks that whatever is hunting this kid and his guardian is about to get the last surprise of their life.
