Resting on the wing, I slowly sank lower towards the mansion before flapping twice, pulling up as I settled down on the soft grass.

Licking my muzzle once more to make sure I got all the blood away, I yawned and stretched as only cats and dragons can before I turned back to mortal form.

That hit the spot. Say what you want about Pandaria, but I like the place. For one thing, their deer are delicious. Of course, we had to be careful not to over hunt... for one thing, the local Pandaren would notice, even if we were kinda isolated here on the plantation.

Walking inside, I scratched my neck and made my way towards the dining room. Ren should be having breakfast if she had woken up by now. I did ask if she wanted to come along to hunt, and got a pillow to the face a answer so I figured she felt like skipping that today.

Sheila was long gone, having left for her meeting with Venir. The last couple of years she had gotten more involved with Azure Imports when not off world, working with Venir to run the still-expanding company.

It was the biggest import/export company out of Stormwind now, with over fifteen ships moving cargo all over the world. Still no access to Horde ports, but quite a lot of cargo went to neutral ports. I had little doubt a lot of it went to Horde sources.

Wine, for one thing, was quite popular.

"Morning." I said, leaning in to give Ren a quick kiss on the cheek before sinking down on the seat next to hers.

"Morning." she mumbled around her toast. While she had developed a taste for human food since she first took human form, she was not a morning dragon.

Well, neither was I to be fair, but it was almost noon. Sheila got up like six hours ago.

Reaching to fill my tea cup, I was interrupted by the door opening to allow Tesa to enter. "Good morning, Master Atregos. Lady Rengosa. Lady Castle has arrived and wishes an audience. Should I allow her inside?"

Huh. I didn't expect Alexis again so soon, she left after we got back from Westeros, just over a month ago.

"Of course, let her in." I said with a nod.

Ren gave me a curious look. "That was quick. I didn't expect her to return for the next month or two at least."

The door opened again, allowing my fellow Planeswalker inside. "Hey you two." Alexis said with a grin. "I come bearing gifts! Catch!"

She tossed a small black object over to me and I reached up to snatch it from the air by reflex before I looked down at it.

Smooth, black and glossy. Small and thin.

I just stared at it, turning it over in my hand before pressing the button, causing the screen to light up. 17:32.

Gaping, I looked up to stare at the grinning Alexis. "This is a..."

"I found it. I found home, Atreus."

"What's that?" Ren asked and reached to pick it from my hand.

Standing up, I rounded the table. "It's a smartphone. Communication and data storage device." I said quietly as I reached Alexis. "You found Earth? Home?"

Alexis smiled and nodded. "I did. Computers, cars, smog-filled air and internet porn. All of it. Earth, Atreus."

I couldn't quite help myself, I grabbed her and kissed her.

"Mph!" She pushed me back. "Eww! Dragon slobber!" she groaned and tried her mouth with her sleeve with a grin. "Thanks but no thanks. I'll keep to my own species."

...Did I really just kiss her? Bloody hell.

Ren walked up to join us, looking more amused than anything else. "Your loss. You would make a fine consort." she commented with a smile.

"...That's one of the reasons I'll stick with humans, thanks." Alexis countered before she grinned. "Good to see you, Ren."

"You as well, Alexis."

I was still stuck at 'Bloody hell, she found Earth!'

Taking the phone from Ren's hand, I looked at it before I turned back to Alexis. "Where?"

"I'll show you. Give me a couple of days to recover first, Walking is tiring and it's quite a few Walks from here." She answered with a smile. "Give you time to gather everything you want to bring too."

Earth.

It wasn't home anymore, but... it was my origin. I don't remember any specifics about it, I already knew there would be no way for me to track down my family. I didn't even have names to go by.

But... it was still Earth. Earth with computers and guns and microwave pizzas and soft drinks. Oh my god the soft drinks.

Hell to the fuck yes. I hadn't had a coke in well over a decade.

A thought struck me, though. Alexis had been missing well over three years before she found Earth. She, at least, remembered her family... mostly because she didn't fall from the sky on her first Walk and hit every stupid stick on the way down and got herself a mild case of serious brain damage. You know, like I did.

"How did your dad react? Is he okay?"

Alexis grimaced slightly and let out a breath. "He... seemed okay."

Something about the way she said that...

"Alexis... you did go see him, right?"

She shook her head. "I went and looked at our old place. He was still living there. But what was I supposed to say? 'Hi dad, I fell out of the universe and I have magic now. Sorry it took so long'?"

I just gave her a flat look until she sighed and nodded.

"I know, I will talk to him. I just don't know if I can do it alone. I would ask Master Goldmane, but it's going to be difficult enough without a giant catman. Can you come with me?"

"Oh, so he blames me for it instead. Good plan, girly." I said with a grin. "Of course I'll come. Even if I didn't owe you a hundred times more for finding the way to Earth, I would come."

"Sheila and I will go with you as well." Ren said with a smile. "I want to see this Earth. I have heard too many stories not to go. And I believe Sheila will feel the same."

"Of course."

Now that could be trouble.

No not yet hiver will have one chapter offor happy then invasion hiver seems to have his alternates hims suffer after a moment of happy frankly I'm surprised he has not done anything involving worm yet

It's not going to be Earth, or at least it will be an alternate Earth with a low fantasy setting. Alexi just didn't realize the supernatural existed on her version of Earth before she became a Planeswalker. My money is on the Dresden Files, but it could be anything.

Atregos doesn't recognize his old cell phone, it seems.

That was broken. And I don't think it developed into anything but a gnome's half dismantled project.

Questions for the future.
1. Is this even SI's or Alexsi's earth, or just an alternative version.
2. Is there a local crossover? Stargate maybe.
3. When setting up a branch of the Azure trading Co., is the local powers going to notice? FBI and CIA for example.
4. Is the SI going to try to find his family? I keep on having omakes in my head of what happens with the PI he hires, and/or police investigating his reappearance. When I get time and off my phone, I'll try writing them. :)

The problem with that idea is that he has no idea what his family looks like or what their names are. I presume that Hiver made it so for this very reason.

Still knows a lot about their situation and history, and if he gives a PI that info with a picture of what he looks like there is a very good chance of finding them. IF they exist.

Kind of a reverse missing person, he knows he is a missing person, just have to find the correct one. And hope there is not a doppelganger on 'this' earth.

"She found it!?" Sheila asked, looking at me in surprise.

I nodded, "She found it. It's a distance of five walks from here for her. It would take me two."

As we found out, I was a lot faster and could stay in Walks longer than her. It was a lot easier for me to enter the Blind Eternities too. She needed to run herself lost somewhere, preferably in a forest.

I just focused on it. Took like ten minutes for me.

Alexis was not overly happy about that. I think she was a bit jealous.

Sheila grinned and walked up to drop down to sit sideways across my lap, moving my book to the side, "When are we going?"

"Oh, so you want to come?" I teased as I put my arms around her.

She gave me a look like I was being a idiot, "Of course I want to come! After what you and Alexis have told me about that place, I want to see it!"

I sighed and pulled her a bit closer, "I'm afraid you might be a bit disappointed. It has it's problems."

"All places do."

"Mmm." I agreed and just relaxed for a moment, the fire crackling nicely in the fireplace of the library/office/lab.

I admit, it was not the most organized of my work areas; parchments and papers, books and scrolls and half-scribbled spell and enchantment equations was all over the place. Frankly, I was the only one able to find anything in here. To anyone else it looked like somebody had thrown a grenade inside. That's because this was my relaxing spot. Somewhere I could just go and tinker away without any specific goal. Somewhere to clear my head or just read a book.

"How was your meeting?" I asked after a moment.

"...Long." Sheila sighed against my shoulder, "I hate goblins."

"Stupid little Ferengi clones."

That earned me a small confused look, "Huh?"

"...Forget it. Goblins? Who?"

"Venture Company." Sheila sighed and relaxed again, "They wish for us to ship lumber and ore for them from Pandaria. It's a really big contract."

Venture Co.

They were basically a natural disaster in and of themselves. Sustainability was something that happened to other people, according to them.

I wasn't exactly a fan of the idea of Azure Imports working with them. But I was hands off on that front. I was purely a silent partner when it came to that company.

"Going to take it?"

"Maybe. We're in talks at least." She sighed, "Their offer isn't a very good one, but with the bulk it's a lot of money. Venir and I turned in our counterbid which is quite a bit higher. We have to see how it goes. Not really a fan of working with them so the price need to be right." before she raised her head from my shoulder, "How did the summit go?"

I shrugged, "Three days of diplomatic small talk and bitching at each other. About what I expected." before I sighed, "Going back again next month sometime when everyone have had time to confer with their respective governments."

"What does Kalecgos think?"

"Kalecgos think that it's important to keep improving our relations with the mortals." I answered with another small shrug before I smirked and pulled her closer, "But Kalecgos don't need to sit through day after day of people passive-aggressively bitching at each other."

Sheila snorted in amusement, "At least it's not a permanent position."

Permanently assigned as ambassador in Stormwind. No time for research. No time for travels. No time for tinkering or investigating lost ruins and artifacts. Just day after day of fake smiles and daggers behind backs.

My expression must have shown exactly how much I liked that idea as Sheila giggled,

"Relax, he would never do that to you." before she kissed me softly and got up from my lap, walking towards the door, "How about we go to the bedroom and you can start improving relations with this mortal instead?"

There is no way in all the Eternities I deserve that woman. I need to bring the ritual up with her, but... It had to be the right time.

XXXXXXXXXX

"Here is a list."

"Mru?" I asked, opening my eyes and then yawning, stretching and scraping my claws against the stone floor. The last couple of days had been spent preparing and getting some gear ready for the trip to Earth.

I had taken the opportunity to do a lot of it in my real form, as something told me it would be a while until I would be able to spend time like that again.

"The list," Targos said, extending the scroll towards me before the wyrm in human form tapped it against my nose, "Of things I wish for you to bring back to me from your Plane of origin."

Yawning again I cast a telekinesis spell and unrolled the scroll, "I might be able to get some of... a nuclear bomb? Yeah, that one might be tricky."

"Don't need to be a big one. I just want to take it apart and see how it work."

"Those are highly regulated. Might be able to get you a book about them though." I commented, stretching my wings. "Laptop I might be able to get. I'm getting at least one myself too. Depends how much money I can get for the jewelry."

I kinda doubted Best Buy or something had started accepting gold bars while I was away. Have to get one of those solar chargers as well. Or at least a generator to enchant. Shouldn't be that tricky. Just need to enchant the electric generator thing to spin constantly and draw from the magical field in the environment. Easy enough.

But I really got why he wanted one. Much better for taking notes. I wanted one as well... and here to hoping that modern electronics could handle the Blind Eternities. They are not the most durable things in existence. Then again, the smartphone Alexis brought survived.

But honestly? If I can get my claws on a proper pizza... or a pizza chef to claim the pattern off... it would totally be worth it.

Books on them are regulated.

And books on them are not enough. You may however need to buy him all the research materials, like all the heavy metals, isotopes, etc. That can be bought through the black market. Not so much a research reactor to play around with isotopes.

But you need a lot of hardware for such products. And starting to buy all material for multiple PhDs in Nuclear Physics and all that entails will throw up so many red flags its not even funny. You are going to be having Alphabet Soup Agencies crawling up any orifices before you know it.

Because with Alexis its pretty much certain where you land.

However luckily Alexis Granddad may just provide a lot of what would be usually highly regulated in exchange for some other stuff.

Oooooor.... magic!

*Poof* Mwaha, I'm invisible, sneaaaaky dragon~! Now just to hug this warhead for 10 minutes whilst I prepare to planeswalk!

Queue massive amounts of panic as a nuke literally vanishes!

I seem to remember a few reports about how horrid the training and security around America Nuclear Silo's is now a days. Though, that was maybe a year ago, so they could have improved it.
