something similar but a lower levels as you guys are starting heroes and no one hero in this game will ever be powerful enough to take over he world let alone a country by themselves (thats why you have minions and allies)

maybe i should clarify a specialty is any learnt skill that you have knowledge and practice in beyond that of the average person e.g playing a magic based super you already have knowledge of the occult but only in your area like a fey knows only about fey stuff or a vampire only vampire stuff (of course they will know about werewolf stuff but only as much as the next human) with a specialty you can bypass that and have the opportunity to roll on a 1D10 (more if you take the specialty multiple times) for any kind of occult knowledge give you a vast advantage over the common rabble
possibly young justice if you spec like crazy and get yourself into some situations where you can boost your powers (mask of 7, Gringa X invasion, the source etc) depends on the events rolls
wolverine at the top although losing your head or having your brain destroyed depending on how regen works will either kill you or bring your power levels back down to basic.

Background: As a demonstrator against a nuclear test Glory was caught in the accident's blast. In fact, she for reasons unknown sneaked into the restricted research area at the time of the accident. Instead of dying, she was transformed. Glory typically teams up with other heroes to counter super-villains and generally save the day.
i like this but you still have to explain how your powers work
although since you are speed 8 you can move pretty dam fast like racing car fast and for flight a little faster since you are up in the air for senses you can either have 3 to wolverine levels or all to slightly lower levels (mandril, kiba inuzuka or kraven the hunter)
and your blast how does it work what type of energy? and how does your invunrability work is it specific or all encompassing? e.g pure invunrability at 10 and you can shrug off a grenade with minor scratches and a missile to the face with a month long hospital stay

Background: Miss Mercury was a popular high-school kid when her powers manifested. Any popularity was lost due to her 'uniqueness.' So she ran away from home and toughed it out on the streets. Eventually, through an 'altercation' she met some others like her who attended Westwind Gifted School. Miss Mercury stayed on for years, eventually completing her education there. However, her powers instilled with a sense of wanderlust. Places get boring when you can see everything there is to see in a single afternoon. And so she left, wandering around the world, seeing what there is to see, and helping people along the way. She'd made a home at Westwind though, growing close to both the teachers and the students. Given that, with her speed, she's never far away from anything, she frequently makes trips back to visit.
Regenerators have weak points in their body. Leach-like organisms that a very vulnerable to damage, should they get hit. Instead of let's say, just die from head-shot.
Alliteratively, can I make a killbot? Hmm. . . Pyromaniac, or can shrug off getting hit by trains at full speed types?

sure you can have a specific weak point if you want but the regen levels still stay as this is not a high powered setting at least not yet.
a little EXpose for all you speculators out there. no this is not an original setting it actually a mix and match of different settings including DC, Marvel, Kickass and others and so very AU. so you may recognise some people later on in game but with different names or costumes e.g bruce wane may not be batman he could be the Cat or the Rat or just a philanthropist billionaire or dead superman could just be a random super with superhuman charisma and little Kal landed on the planet of teletubbies.
stuff like that but i will tell you some sure things the hatred of mutants doesn't exist yet since they mostly just exist as rumor and reports of people with powers are mostly ignored as hoaxes, myths and stories from world war 2 or in the case of some urban capes psychos in costumes using weird gadgets (in some cases this is true). although when they are revealed to the public at large well it will be up to you guys to determine whether they are feared or hated (and the dice).
and were not doing mutant specific hate if one group of people with powers are hated they all are and it will leak to the powered and unpowered vigilantes and villains too. also the police not your friends think spiderman
Question. Would it be acceptable to make a serial killer (villain mode has no breaks, yes there will be shitstorms, and assign me to not gotham-please) who gained super powers? And can we assign faults to make powers better? But also have more glaring flaws.
Day and Night ". . . For world without sin (((. . . is utterly unbearable)))."
Appearance:
Wip
Personality (((Day))):
Day fancies herself as a noble heroine; a martyr of justice, pure and good.
When in fact she's just a lowly serial killer - but Day's delusions runs deeper than a mid noon's long shadows, for she envisions a perfect world without sin, a world in which, evil doesn't exist.
For this fragile dream of hers - so pure and innocent; Day would gladly drown herself in the blood of sinners and evil men. Wherever darkness dwells, festers and rots; unseen and unmolested. . . .
Day shall surely extinguished as does the sun obliterates the night.
Day cannot possibly forgive sin; but isn't she also a sinner too, for isn't killing - murder wrong? She - in the process of taking lives from crooks both petty and grandiose, violates this fundamental rule; but she reasons thus: 'And you would let evil blossom, flourish even? Sin makes this world rotten. Someone must save the world - I'm only doing it in the most efficient way I know.'
Others can squabble, bark, hate her if they must.
But if they dare hinder this world's savior; they will suffer her wrath.
Those who defend sin deserve nothing but an untimely demise, burning in hell.
Day is mad.
So madden in fact - that she doesn't know, that her own ideals, will only reap destruction and chaos, but then again for a perfect world - a paradise on the bosom of earth; what is sin?
Day also has a more darker, sinister personality that dubs himself 'Night', they are polar opposites. . . in the most twisted of possible fashions, if Day is the ever-crusading angel of justice; Night would be the scion of all the world's evils, a pitiless demon, who, delights in the suffering of innocents.
They know not of each other's existences or works.
And are only active at their respective influences (Day for day; Night for night).

Both personalities are utterly conflicting and jarring against each other.
Day as mention, is the 'Heroine' - she butchers anyone who's evil indiscriminately. Night is the opposite, hellbent on destroying all that pure, and holy, and good on this Earth.
Not sure which powers to give them yet, but can I please fight this settings not-batman?
Powers
Super-Speed: 28 (She's... Fast, for lack of a better word. I'm not entirely sure on the scale this is working on, but something like Young Justice's Impulse or Kid Flash seems appropriate.) super speed one is basically gambit from the X-men 10 is a reasonably priced car driven by the stig at top speed 30 is faster than the a baseline human can react to yeah you're ok fast enough to dodge bullets but not fast enough to have people not notice you
Electrical Control: 14 (Can send out small lightning bolts that are highly damaging, if not as powerful as real ones, and can form a small electrical shield, which aids her durability to some degree.) good at 10 you get to the same power output as a small generator so enough too power a house for more than a few hours per blast
Time Control: 10 (Can slow down time by one-tenth, which is quite good, when you consider that she's already super-fast.) ok
i should probably tell people that Prowess is how effective you are with higher prowess you can expect low level mooks to be less likely to want to take you on and a higher rate of victory against cannon fodder or the cops but you will also be more well known and so enemies will be more prepared there will be more traps, higher risk etc not to say you can't avoid them if you want
