Born in June 15th 1971, our hero was born right before the oil crisis, and before his family became obscenely wealthy in the oil trade. His father shorted the market, through insider trading. (yes he gained his wealth illegally), and then used it to piggyback into the great fame in fortune throughout the Regan administration, and during the big oil boom in Alaska.
once he became a top dog, he became a... shadow member of Opec and is trying to get as much money as possible, through as much shadowy dealings as possible.
Back to Olie, our boy was a mama's boy, who really liked spending time with his mom, because his father felt that his son is a disappointment for not being... a super genius who graduated high school at 10... even though he graduated at 14, and would have gone to one of the top schools in the country... But he in a faux arrogance thought it was beneath him.
That made dear old dad... very much angry at him, and then, in his anger, well... it's better left unsaid.
However, he was immediately abandoned by his dad, who favored his little sister.
A few months after that outburst, his mother died, and such, lead to Olie leaving his home for one of their many apartments.
But since he was still a minor, and the state of new york was investigating him, Olies father hired Sebastian to care for him, and the rest is history. Oliver didn't do much except party, learn the way of diplomacy from bar patrons, and people.

And since then, Oliver has been trying to gain respect, from his dad and everyone else.
