Assholes in Wonderland

Would you guys like to form an alliance? I can offer endless water in exchange for supplies, and you guys can trade ammo, weapons and gas.
Might need to include the Cattlefuckers Mutants.

At this time right now? No, mostly due to lack of surrounding area information and your "boss". I will offer gas and gas derivatives at adjusted rate in a few turns.

@Ultramandalore
I will offer work and trade you make a friendly visit to my refinery. Please try not to blow up foundry's manufacture capability.

Yeah they'd probably ride back with you if you promised them a gun. Specifically the guy your men talked to. People you find in the wild are easier to convince then "towns people."
Man Hog's town being my territory is very powerful, I should have much more ease recruiting towns people, i will eventually make a food tax and take control of the food supply to both stabilize it and centralize it and i have unlimited water.
Also what would they ask as tribute? My "boss" that is.

A Trade agreement for now then. Though if you did agree to an alliance, I would not tell my... "boss".

Your boss is like a Californian version of ghangis Khan, so he'd take whatever he wants. Theres so many of them, they might strip the town bare if they were in the mood. And recruiting in town is easier in a sense. You can press gang anyone you want in an emergency, and everyone with weapons will take them up to defend the town since it's their home, but it's always better to find willing recruits

Sounds shitty, lets hope he dies off doing... whatever.

Do not want, absolutely do not want! Tho i will fold like paper if she / he does show up.

Should we expect small bands of NPCs to pop up as events or will this quest mostly driven by PCs?

You and me both, I still think an alliance would actually be best since we'll be stronger for it, if he shows, then it won't matter if your allied with me or not. (You don't have to, just saying since we'll be the dream team)

Not really. The threats to you guys are each other, the Wild N Wicked's patron gang, and the many, many powerful factions who want Marie and Anna at all costs. So you guys have some time to mess around before shit hits the fan

We're just waiting on the mutant player and then I'll update, but I remember them saying they were in a wonky timezone, so it's no rush. I've got most of my updates ready, but just a head's up tomorrow's gonna be a slow day for posting. Sunday though should be same pace as today

@Lop Can i build anything in Hogs Town? Can i build anything at all? Both in or Outside of a town?

Sounds good changing my vote to...
[X] Delta Six
-[x] journey to the foundry in order to trade for resupply and look for information related to our mission.

You can build anything you have the supplies and manpower for. The later is actually kind of hard. Refinery and Foundry got lucky in that there's one or two technicians still around who taught the survivors how to run them, but other than that there's not many engineers in the area. Though, thre are...many things rumoured to live in the metal mountain.

Stuff like walls and towers and traps are easy enough if you have some willing hands. And NPC's will build stuff too if they find the need too. Mostly their attempts to recreate life before the apocalypse, so hair salons, grocery stores, the like.

Got it

Alright, I'm here now, so sorry for holding everything up.

Damn, now I'm worried about gas. @Lop will Team Merchant have enough gas to make it to the Refinery?

Also, what's this I hear about an Alliance? Ya'll better not cut me out of it if you don't wanna go hungry!

[X] The Blessed
- [X] Team Gospel: Return home and report findings. Then help Big Benny by taking turns keeping lookout and helping build the Holy Site.
- [X] Team Merchant: Slight changes to the original plan. Once at the Foundry, they can also trade for gas in addition to Ammo and Guns. If they don't end up trading for gas, change course to the Refinery, and then Hogs Town third and last. Once at the Refinery, offer them a special trade agreement for extra food per tank of gas offered. Also, since most common people seem to be headed for Hogs Town, inform the citizens there of the Blessed and their Word, and that any who would be interested in joining the Flock would never want for food and safety should they come north towards the Metal Mountain. Otherwise, continue as planned.
- [X] Home: An addendum; in the event that any wayward travelers happen upon our main base, they are to be welcomed. If they don't appear to be armed and/or belong to a faction, offer them food and a room for the night, and offer a sermon the morning after. Inform them that the Blessed welcome new members into their flock, though if they insist on departing, wish them well.

Walking Down Hog's Town
Hog's Town is a strange mix of old western buildings and typical west texas styles. Marie gazes at the small groupings of people, the first she's seen in some time. They stare back, wearing all manner of clothing. She doesn't mind. There are recognizable traces of civilization around the town, and this comforts Marie.

Two men seeking shade under an awning draw her gaze. They have a strange demonor about them, as if they were vultures. They watch the girls and Sword Prince, then one leans over to the other and whispers. They both come off the porch and circle around the building, walking into an alley. Marie pulls Anna onward.

A man and woman cross the street ahead of the girls. The woman holds a baby, and Marie feels comfortable enough to catch their attention with a wave. She jogs up to them, Anna and Sword Prince right behind her.

"Hey," Marie says, coming up to a stop in front of the couple.

"Hello," The man says, a hint of caution in his voice.

"We're new in town, and were told we might need to check in with some wild people?"

"Oh," The woman says. "The Wild N' Wicked, they run the water pump and security around town,"

"Security," Marie repeats. "Good, that's a good word. Like when things were normal,"

The man and woman share a pained look.

"Yes," The woman says. "Well, that building across the street is their office, if you wanted to pop in,"

"Thank you," Marie says, a genuine smile of relief on her face. "That's a huge help. And Josie's Bed and Breakfast?"

It's the woman's turn to smile.

"Aw, Josie, of course. She'd love two young girls like you staying with her,"

The woman's eyes flicker to Sword Prince, wearing his strange robe and entangled in small grape vines.

"And...your friend,"

"Hm," Marie says, casting a glance back at Sword Prince. He seems oblivious to the conversation, his eyes staring straight ahead.

"Thank you!" Anna says, smiling. The woman beams back, and her husband urges her onward.

"We should get moving," Sword Prince says, still staring ahead.

Marie looks to where he's staring. A large truck, almost as big as a garbage truck, is pulling into town. Men with gas masks and guns start to get out, checking out the truck and spreading out.

"Yeah, okay," Marie says, taking Anna's hand and hurrying across the road.

The trio reaches the office, Marie jogging up the steps and rushing with Anna to the front door. It swings open wide, and a massive, massive man in dreadlocks and a mask fills its frame.

"oh," Marie says, looking up at him. He gazes back down.

"Excuse me," He says, stepping to the side. Marie takes Anna and walks briskly past him. Sword Prince follows.

Inside the office is spacious and bare. There's a single desk, with a skittish man sitting behind it wearing a gas mask.

"People really like to wear masks!," Anna says, peering at him.

The large man in the doorway ducks through it, walking outside. Another man in a trenchcoat and gas mask follows. The skittish man behind the desk slips his mask up, peering a dirt smeared face at the girl's.

"What do you want," He says, his eyes darting to all three.

"Uh," Marie says, slowly. "We're....new in town, and were told we needed to check in,"

This seems to calm the man, and he nods. A small grows on his face.

"Why, yes," He says, leaning back in the chair and threading his hands behind his head. "I am the man in charge. Rufus....the uh, great. Rufus the Great,"

"Well...Rufus the Great," Marie says. "We just wanted to make sure it was alright to be here,"

"Hmmmmm," Rufus says, putting a finger to his chin. "Alright, it's fine,"

"Thank you," Marie says, ducking her head in thanks. "We'll...be going now,"

"Mhm Hm," Rufus says, nodding. "See that you do, I've got important work to do after all,"

Marie and Anna leave the office, with Anna waving goodbye. Sword Prince brings up the rear.

Outside, the men in masks are hanging around their truck, talking to a woman. Marie leads the other two along the buildings, keeping to the side of the road and away from the exchange. It's not that the men look dangerous. Just...weird....

After walking down the tight row of buildings, Marie comes across a house with it's own yard. It's a large, ancient gothic house, with sagging shutters and peeling paint. Someone has made an effort to grow flowers in the yard, and they look beautiful. Marie opens the small iron gate, letting herself and the others inside. She walks up the path, past the flowers, and steps onto a creaking porch. Before Marie can knock, the door opens.

"Oh hello!" The woman says, smiling. "I'm Josie, Leah told me you were coming!"

"Oh," Marie says, caught off guard. "Uh, good,"

"Come in, come in," Josie says, turning into the house and gesturing for them to follow. "I've already got rooms ready for the three of you,"

Marie watches, then turns back and smiles at her companions.

"See?" She says, looking at Sword Prince. "This town isn't bad,"

"Hm," He says, following her inside.

Ok, Lets talk trade, since you don't want an alliance.
I am willing to give you lets say... 2 turns of water for 2 tanks of gas, this is a persistent trade (note only starting the negotiations)

Might need to include the Cattlefuckers Mutants.
I mean will need to travel ICly to confirm it and finalize but hashing it out OOCly will make it faster.
We already trade supplies so I don't see the point for an alliance right now unless you have something else to offer?
Yo, I need pistols; my guys is driving towards you; likely to arrive in 2 turns.
@Lop Do I have any extra weapons in the Foundry and with the trading group?
Will two turns of gas make it to the Refinery from Hogs town?

You have two extra rifles at the foundry, but none with the trading group besides their own guns and the ones on your truck

An alliance would include us having to defend eachother from enemies. And would obligate me to fund you water if you run low rather than fuck you over to gorge you of your shit.

I think I can handle myself for now, will consider the alliance, but if you ever decide to try to fuck me over it won't be pretty.
*Shrug* If your that desperate, i'd be dumb not to milk it for all its worth... in least i agreed not to prior through an alliance or such, i aint going easy on you just cause your also a player, and no i don't expect you to treat me any better :p.
Anyways, thats irrelevant for now, just take care to not be forced to desperation and i'll have no reason to demand higher concessions.
