You weren't the only one who noticed the change of atmosphere, the roads and tunnels are clear today, only the particularly brave or the particularly foolish dare walk about the Pit today. All except for the workers of the Greenstone Mining Company, and the stirring and low rumble that seems to come from Union's Hollow. It won't be long before the attack starts, and you'll finally see what this 'Union' is capable of.
Security is tighter than normal today, the miners hurry about trying to do what they can before the fighting starts, some of them are discreetly sticking close to each other, likely to try and defend themselves when they eventually come under attack as well. You'll need to move quickly when your opening arrives if you wish to save as many as you can, and you'll start with the secret passage...
You spip between them one by one, claws and tongue lashing out and dragging the victims from view before they had a chance to be seen. Before long you've got the entire passageway cleared, Solomon ensured you that the Union won't be attacking through the passageway, wanting to make as clear a message as possible that they don't need to rely on backways like that to handle things, as well as not wanting to expose the tunnel's existence to the public.
The plan is simple but effective, take advantage of events to gather intel and free more miners. Kill as many important members of the mine's security as needed to buy them enough time to escape. But what are you going to do if Avaritia shows himself? You have your doubts you could defeat him in a one on one fight, but it might prove necessary...
Suddenly it's as if a dam burst, you can actually feel it when they begin to move...
The Union is on the march, the guards are distracted... It's your chance...
Where will you begin?
[ ] The Yard (Low risk)
- Start right here in the yard, you aren't likely to get any new information but it's an ok starting point to free miners.
[ ] Guard Post (Medium Risk)
- Pick up information and take out some of the higher up members of security, it should make it easier for the miners to escape, as well as help the Union break though.
[ ] The Mines (High Risk)
- This is uncharted territory for you, many important individuals and information could be found down in the mines proper, as well as many miners, but it's going to be heavily guarded.
[ ] Greenstone Offices (Extreme Risk)
- Honestly you don't think you could get in undetected, and even if you could Morrow and Avaritia and bound to be inside, but it would also have the most intel...
[ ] Write-in
- Perhaps you have another idea of where do begin, GM reserves right to veto
Will you let the miners remember you or try and make them forget?
[ ] Remember
- Let them remember like the first one did, you don't know what this will do.
[ ] Forget
- Attempt to make them forget you with Easily Forgotten, not guaranteed to work.
And now finally, what will Solomon and his newfound following be doing while this is happening? Solomon will follow your orders but his men don't know about your existence, at least not yet.
[ ] Fighting with the Union
- The least likely to draw suspicion, but also of no help to you.
[ ] Following behind you
- They will follow and provide backup, you'll probably need to disguise yourself when they can see you and Solomon will make up a story about who you are.
[ ] Guarding the passage
- They will guard the escape passage to help the miners escape and prevent any Greenstone forces from reclaiming it.
[ ] Write-in
- What will you have them do? GM reserves the right to veto
The risk levels reflect how hard some checks will be, as well as how much resistance you're likely to meet.
I'm leaning towards Medium or High Risk, letting the miners Remember Us, and either telling Solomon to maintain his cover (medium risk) or back us up (high risk).
Problem with him backing us is that I don't have any brilliant ideas for a cover, at least none that wouldn't draw more of the wrong kind of attention to our... Friend? I feel like he's a friend, at least, though Heaven knows (perhaps literally) if Mnemor is aware of the fact...
It depends on how well you perform and how long you take, you'll probably be able to hit two total, with the second having less time before you risk being found by the Union attackers.
[X] The Mines (High Risk)
- This is uncharted territory for you, many important individuals and information could be found down in the mines proper, as well as many miners, but it's going to be heavily guarded.
We use commotion and save the miner's
[X] Remember
It's interesting option, we are trying to be good guy and I'm interested what people will think about us

[X] Fighting with the Union
The mines are deep and dark, only carts carrying jade and those unable to keep working go in or out of this labyrinth of carved stone. Areas of it are widened out, once this area is stripped clean it will be converted into a new area of the city before Greenstone goes further down, naturally expanding the city through the gathering of its main export.
Little rooms and buildings are carved into the tunnels, doors standing out against the stone to mark where the hollowed out places are, that is where you began your search.
It did not take long for you to find guards, and it didn't take long for them to begin dropping off like flies. You moved throughout, killing them one by one and hiding the bodies where nobody could see them within the storage areas and empty break rooms. You doubt you'll be able to kill them all but then again, you aren't trying to.
Eventually you come across a corrupted guard captain directing things from a security office deep within the mines, taking him out will throw the guards into disarray when the prisoner breakout begins, you slip through the security and prepare to strike.
He barely had a chance to react before your tongue had wrapped itself around hin throat and began to crush it, he managed to pull out his sword and attempted to cut himself free but was stopped when you drove a claw into his elbow, rendering the arm useless as he slowly choked to death.
You quickly hid the body before another runner arrived for more orders.
Does Greenstone Security find any bodies? (24+5=29)
It seems the guards still haven't found any bodies yet, and as such the security alert will not be raised yet.
Search for new intel (75+10=85)
As you searched through the tunnels you were able to confirm something you were worried about...
The writing left by the original founders of the city...
It's written in Dark Speech.
Composure Check (97)
Thankfully you were more prepared to see it this time around and managed to avoid flying into another panic, you need to keep your wits about you, you're in enemy territory.
Now that you've infiltrated the mines you'll need to decide what you focus on, every second waisted is a second you could be found.
[ ] Hunt down the Foreman
- Some of the guards were talking about the foreman for this area of the mines, apparently the man is a terror, and carries the keys to the miners shackles.
[ ] Find Intel
- You still haven't found much about Greenstone itself, perhaps that should be your main focus?
[ ] Assassinate more guards
- Evry guard killed is one less between you and your goals, focus on that.
