This thread is for the game/RP idea I've come up with, Aramata Yandere. The short, sweet, and bloody version is that you, SV, are all playing as a group of teenage girls in a setting of your choice with one caveat: you are all, in the Japanese parlance, Yandere. Literally ill with love, you all are slightly mentally deranged in that you posses an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Specifically, you have your Beloved. Your Sempai. Your Hero. Your Amor. The light of your life, the reason for it all. There are only two flies in the ointment.

One, he hasn't noticed you yet.

Two, you're going to need to beat off all the other damn skanks who're flinging themselves at him!

Courtesy of the fact there's actual competitive spirit here, this is a fairly rules-light game, but there are rules. Each round (Which will take place over a week IRL) you need to choose actions for yourself and your Clique to pursue, which will be determined via much rolling of dice. Mechanics will be posted below, but the Tl;Dr version is as such.

Get Bitches, Shank Skanks, Acquire True Love.

NAME: (Your name goes here. Will be used in any writing you do)
CLIQUE SIZE: (The number of girls at your command. The bigger this gets, the more they can do. Conversly, though, the more there are the easier it will be to land an infiltrator in their ranks)
MISDEMEANOR POINTS: (How much trouble you're in. Less is better for social attacks, but more gives better options for violence. At 20 you gain one Felony Point)
FELONY POINTS: (Major infractions against the laws and codes of society. They're hard to remove, they have no benefit, and three of these causes permanent incarceration. In other words, GAME OVER)

LUST: (A measure of sheer carnal, sinful desire. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Seduction tests)
AVARICE: (A measure of fiscal and possessive greed. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Acquisition tests)
SLOTH: (A measure of apathy, physical and mental. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Resilience tests.)
WROTH: (A measure of violence, both physical and mental. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Violence tests)
ENVY: (A measure of jealousy and the resultant effects. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Gossip tests)
PRIDE: (A measure of your personal assessment of your value. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Academia tests)
GLUTTONY: (A measure of desire for the consumption of goods. The number here is the number of d6 you can roll on Rumor tests)

(Right what it says on the tin. By naming a member of your clique you can give them a bonus that applies automatically when you add them to an Action, instead of the default Xd6, where X is their Devotion)

(Again, very generic tab here. There are items you can acquire {Ex. Sexy Underwear, Caf-Pow, Blackjack, Cards,} which can give you bonuses on certain Tests and Actions. To get an item, roll Acquisition and describe what you want your item to do.)

Odds are, people are going to be writing you as a character at some point, so giving them something to work with would be a courtesy.

(When making your character, you have 28 points to spend in the 7 basic skills, and start with no clique.)

Tests

Tests are actions your character does, and the names are fairly self-explanatory. To roll a test, you roll the number of d6 you have in the relevant skill, re-roll any 1s if you have Items that allow you to do so, and then compare that to the number of successes (rolls of 4, 5, or 6) you need to complete a task. For Example

Article:
Lilly rolls Seduction to influence a Jock to ask out Meline!

4d6= 1, 4, 3, 5.

Roll of 1 is re-rolled by Sexy Underwear, and becomes a 5!

GM, Later,
Three successes against two! The Jock will ask Meline out!

Naturally, easy tests such as suggesting something will be a handful of successes- one or two. Harder tests, though, like scoring Affection of the love interest, would need five or six successes.

Actions

Actions are things you do. Most actions have an associated test, and some have multiple depending on your Clique and how you want to use them. By default, there are three kinds of Actions

- One Test Actions are you and you alone. These are things like recruiting girls and guys to your Clique, any sort of very simple test, and most attempts to remove Misdemianor Points. These are the bread and butter of the game, and are not influenced by your Clique unless a member has an ability that lets them activate on these.

- Complex Test Actions are you and your Clique. These are things like starting a rumor, spying, most forms of fighting, sabotage, and also academic work. These are fairly large actions, and as such lend themselves to great victories or defeats.

- Operation Actions are your Clique working towards an Operation Goal without you. These can happen even if you do a One Test Action, but not if you do a Complex Test Action.

Operations

Operations are one of the few times you can let your girls off the leash and let them work independently of you to secure a grand goal. This can be as simple as "Find out where Your Love lives" to as complex as "Run a gambling ring to secure funds" and as situational as "Make sure Your Love always parks next to you." While Operations cannot secure the Affection of Your Love or remove Felony Points, that is their only limitation. Helping you get a date locked down, run interference on some other hussy's plans, make sure the football team wins or looses, do your homework so you can focus on more important things- the options are endless.

Mechanically, Operations are handled by determining a target number of successes for the Operation, and another number to be the goal to roll each turn; then rolling Xd6 where X is the number of Clique members assigned to the matter. If the weekly target number

Article:
Cleo gives her Clique the Operation: Tail the True Love to determine his weekly schedule. The grand target number is 40, and the weekly target number is 5. Cleo assigns 10 Clique Members to this task.

10d6= 3, 5, 6, 1, 4, 2, 5, 3, 4, 5,

Weekly total passed, 34 successes remaining.

Clique Usage

To gain a Clique Member, roll your Lust, Avarice, or Gluttony skills and achieve more than half of that skill's number as successes.

To use Clique Members in Complex Actions, state the number of Clique Members you will be applying to that action and then roll an extra d6 for each member. If a member of the Clique has any levels of Devotion, add those as additional d6 to the dice pool.

Clique Members

Clique Members are your friends, allies, and all-around helpers. While there's little they can't do, they are a limited resource- ask too much of them, and they'll start to drift off like dust in the wind. However, if you can keep them devoted to you by helping them and their objectives, they become infinetly more useful. To increse Devotion, as a Simple Test roll d6 equal to their current devotion (Base of 1) and on more than half successes they gain a level of Devotion.

Basically, one who reacts... badly to murders, and attacks anyone who she learns killed someone.

She'd still have a Sempai, and act to make him hers, just... non-lethally.

There's absolutely nothing in the OP that states you need to use violence or attacks to secure your love interest. I'd suggest making Wrath your dump stat, and investing in a large Clique to help do things like spread and counteract rumors, but this is supposed to be freeform. You could try and murder your opposition, but that would be hard. Murder, after all, is illegal, and there is no guarantee you won't cock it up and leave them badly wounded, on the brink of death, utterly helpless- thus setting off all sorts of flags to make Sempai fall for the wounded girl while you sit behind bars.

How would we determine the size of our clique, or the number of our stats? Are there dice rolls to be made or are we given a bank of points to allocate?

Thank you for reminding me to put that in. You have 28 points to allocate across the seven main stats, and start with no clique. There are Clique rules down, and if they need clarification or more detail, please tell me what you want added.

Cool, I think I'll start to work on a character.

NAME: Amanda Lurcher

FELONY POINTS:0

LUST: 7
AVARICE: 4
SLOTH: 2
WROTH: 7
ENVY: 1
PRIDE: 5
GLUTTONY: 2

Nothing

None

A junior with a large heart and larger hands, Amanda is a-typical in that she likes to build things up as far as they can go, improving compulsively and radically. So when she fell in love, she fell- hard. The ultimate challenge is right in front of her now, and she's willing to go far to get her man. That is, if she can get her other businesses on track and in line, before she blows a gasket. Amanda's one sin, in her eyes, is her temper. Once it flies loose, there's no getting it back, and she'll have to hold onto it tight for her to pull this off.

Because letting go of all that pressure? Hell of a stress test, and if she's not done with her improvements by then than nothing will survive the blast.
