Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

[X] Dive back down and gather the parts of its body that it lost before the currents disperse them.

BABY NO!
[X] Let it flee and take care of your heralds wounds.

I am all for getting the Death Domain, but not by letting our subservients die when we could save them!

Hm...
This wouldn't have happened if we used protection

Well, seeing how the vote is going I hope our herald can survive.

But we now have a general direction for next turn. We have to keep the ball rolling on healing, we should study the gibblets we got from the monster if we can and explore the sea to ensure nothing else is trying to feed from our rituals.

I also think we should contact the Sky Child if possible. That thing went through its domain as it fled, and so our fellow Spirit should also have a vested interest in taking down that overgrown people-eater.

We gave up the Skies to the Sky Child, so it is its fault we cannot give chase here!

Turn 5

As the vile creature took to the air, you were torn on how to proceed. Your herald was still bleeding, its bulky frame slowly rising to the surface as it slipped in and out of consciousness. Part of you wanted to rush to its side to heal it, another part bade you to leap out of the sea and give chase to the monster that had wounded your servant so grievously. What was the point of these wounds if the attacker could get away? But you calmed yourself and let it be. The brief fight had been dangerous enough while being fought in your own realm. Without the strength of the sea at your beck and call, you could not be certain of your victory. But there was another thing.

Instead of upwards you turned your attention down, diving after the bones and offal that you had torn from the enemies body. The waters moved under your command, gathering every shard and scrap that you could make out. The very vileness clinging to them guided your efforts. Now that you knew the presence for what it was, it's repulsiveness no longer hid it, but made it stand out all the more. All that you could find was gathered in a single ball, kept together by your power and the waters in equal measure. Briefly you feared that gathering so much of it had stirred some remnant of intent embedded in the essence still infusing it as the taint seemed to stir once you had gathered a large amount of it, yet it fell silent just as quickly again. If nothing else came out of this, you were content to know this would not pollute your waters any longer than necessary.

You work done, you rose back up to see to the wounds of your herald, though it turned out you did not need to worry. The carp was still rattled by the fight, yet his wounds had closed. Where the beast had wounded it, its skin and scales had grown back black, and its left flank was barely recognizable. Huge parts of its skin had been rent by teeth and sharp bones, and it seemed that your herald would bear these marks forever. He lived though and its scars seemed to not impede his movements, and that was the most important thing. You thanked him for a duty well performed and ordered him to rest for a while.

While the fish took off to do just that, the waves above you were disturbed by strong winds battering them with some urgency. The Sky Child had not missed the monsters departure. The other spirit seemed uncharacteristically sombre when you recounted the events and when you were done, they recounted their own encounter. After leaving the sea, the beast had flown over the land and caused an uproar among the all the people living there. The Sky Child had tried to talk to it, but had been attacked without a warning. It had then commanded the wind to throw the monster from the sky, though with little success. Alone, the Sky Child was no match to it either. Luckily it had not attempted to attack the village of the Sea People and instead flown north after circling over the forest for a while.

The two of you parted with a promise to aid one another, should the creature return, but for now, you needed to take care of more immediate concerns. The people were in a panic and would need reassurance. And then there was the remnants of the creature that you had gathered. They likely would not keep whatever power animated them for much longer, so you would need to decide soon what to do with them.

Do we have any idea of our people's status, how many they are, etc?

This thing's entire nature speaks of death and poison. I don't want any lingering essence remaining within our herald.
Who knows, worst case scenario is our mighty carp becoming converted to some monstrosity.
... Also I feel bad about leaving our servant be in their hour of need.

EDIT: Herald can assist, and blessing the settlers is the only thing that has sea domain in this plan.

@Azel the Herald can perform an action that has the Sea Domain, right? Is it assumed that it's being done with 1 power? Also, how would you want us to write it out?

As an example:

[] (Herald) Action would this be alright?
