I don't remember enough if Luchia counts, but I think that Ichigo might? Maybe Maron... I really thought that 11 year old me had a better memory than this!

Tbf tho, Mahou Shoujo are coming of age stories. Aho protagonists usually have more growing to do than a down to earth mature character. That's why we get so many cute aho girls, who become stronger and wiser by the end of the series. Like Ahiru from Princess Tutu.

Sakura from ccs is very smart even at the start though! She's got plenty of sense in her head. I'm so happy to see her again!

Its remarked pretty often. She's great at PE, but far too distractable on basically everything else. With the Clow Cards until she started converting them...well Kereberos, Syaoran and Tomoyo were doing most of the thinking for her.

She's the muscle, both physically and magically.
She's just a nice person.

She figured out how to beat most of the cards on her own though. That was the point. Kero couldn't help her too much, it would be cheating.

She's got plenty of 'fueee' moments but Sakura is absolutely not lacking in intelligence by any stretch of the word.

it sounds like you need Yori and Chou. A pair of nice sensible 'magical girls' who won't put up with stupidity on the job, though they don't mind a bit of fun. They even train other more normal 'magical girls' in how to do it right.

    Sorry this update is short, this is pretty much the first and worst reason why I was unhappy with the last update. It stuck me in this position where I really couldn't write much at all without breaking for more choices.

    Then I said 'fuck it' and decided that keeping the quest going was more important than making an update big.

You'd probably just end up butting heads and fighting her over and over again, and you didn't know the first thing about training beyond the endless sparring sessions that your mentor put you... through...

    Maybe you could train her after all... If it worked for you, maybe it'll work for others too...

    You roll over and push yourself back to your feet with a grunt, still turning the idea over in your mind. Astrid is already making her way back towards the house, but she stops at the threshold, peering into the kitchen before looking back out at you. "You planning to eat here this evening? Or do you have somewhere to be?"

    Oh, she must have been looking at the clock. You suppose it is getting to the later afternoon. Though it won't be dark for another few hours.

    You turn back to her and open your mouth...

    I thought this Quest was dead, good it's 'still alive'. Did you catch the reference there?
    Ramiel is a good name, I mean we shoot lasers. Just a thought when I saw the biblical names proposed reminded me of Evangelion.
