Sorry for the delay part 2: my girlfriend was visiting me for a month edition
You're parent's aren't dead. They can't be. It's just a trick of the light. You mustn't be seeing right. Why is your face wet? Your parent's are fine. You'll wake up any minute now and go have breakfast with them.
Any minute now.
Oh God, they are dead. Why? Why did they leave you? Why? How could this happen?
You break down and cry as reality crashes down on you. You don't know how long you cry, but you can feel Grace's arms around you as she holds you and comforts you. You don't even worry about where she came from, you just cry into her arms as she holds you.
Eventually you stop crying and you can feel a cold resolve start to form inside you. You will find out who did this. Whoever killed you parents will pay for it. You may have disagreed with them, and maybe they wouldn't have understood your preferences, but the person who killed them robbed you of your chance to ever find out for sure.
You pull away from Grace and spot Ivan standing around with a group consisting of most of the people from the lodge, his expression unreadable. Grace is looking at you worriedly and you try to give her a reassuring look, "Thank you." Then you turn to Ivan, "What happened?"
Ivan looked worried, "I don't know, Giles called me and told me that The door to your parents was frozen open. He was cleaning the walk when he noticed. We were worried so I went to ask you if your parents were somewhere else. There was no heat inside and..." Ivan turns away looking sick.
You turn to Giles who nods, "I saw it was open, and there was no steam coming from inside, to I asked Ivan to ask you if you knew where your parents were." Giles glances away, "I'm sorry."
"Who was the last one who saw them last night?" You ask frustrated at the lack of clues to the monster that did this, "Didn't anyone see anything?!"
There is a mumbling from the adults till finally Mr. Bell speaks up, "We all left the meeting last night together, I saw your mother and father meet up and head towards their cabin. I think I was the last one to see them." His voice is kind as he answers.
Charles looks around, "Did anyone else see them after that?" The only response he gets are mutters of 'no' and shaking of heads.
You go over to Charles, "You want to be Sherlock. What do you know."
Charles looks confused, "Whoever did this was doing it to send a message. You don't go through all this effort for no reason. I've talked to everyone here, and as far as I can tell the story checks out. The last anyone saw of them, they were heading to bed last night after the meeting." He glances into the open room where your parents stand dead, "I'm trying to decide if we should go in or wait for the police."
[x] Go in and investigate inside
[x] Insist that the police get called. The best way to catch the criminal is to rely on professionals and not try to do it yourself
