    Earth. A small blue marble hidden in the sky among a trillion stars.

    Many of it's natives believe they're safe because they are alone, for they have never seen another live bearing planet. They're wrong.
    Others recognize the vastness of the universe, and realize that their world is but one among millions. They think themselves safe in obscurity.

    They too are wrong.

    An invasion is brewing. Soon, the internecine strife of the Terran species will be dwarfed by an invasion of massive proportions, an unprecedented conflict that will shock the world's disunited nations and shatter their assumptions about the universe. Already, the invasion is underway, even if the first shots have yet to land.

    But despite their gross technological, political and tactical disadvantages, you know that this will be a hard fought conflict. Though the enemy is inferior, they occupy an entire world. Though they're disunited, they may band together against a common enemy. And though our invasion will be a complete surprise, their world may hold hidden dangers that may surprise us in turn.

    All that however, is for the future. Now, it is time to prepare our first blow.

    [] From the Ice : A ravenous creature, entombed when it landed upon this world ages ago, awakens once more.

    Inspired by @Oshha's short lived quest of the same name, but with no real relation beyond the main theme.

    The idea is quite simple. You're an alien race, and you have to invade and conquer Earth. Right now, we're deciding what sort of invasion we'll be commanding, then we'll do a single turn to prep before starting the invasion.

    The prompts above probably look familiar to many of you. However, familiarity is not a guarantee. The specific details of the invasion will be handled in the next update. Speculation is encouraged, and may be included as options.​

    Task : Nurture

    Goals :
    Priority 1 : Preserve Earth's ecosystem : Major damage to the Terran ecosystem, by war or other means, must be avoided. The rampant humans have already done considerable damage, though your weather manipulation technology can resolve a great deal of that.
    Priority 2 : Capture Earth lifeforms : Humanity was intended as a servant species with an interesting history. While archeology is also interesting, it is strongly preferable to capture as much of the humans and culture as you can.
    Priority : 3/4 : Capture/Destroy/Defend Strategic positions : As of now, you're unaware of any important strategic positions that are relevant as a war objective, aside from your primary computer core.
    Priority 5 : Destroy All Resistance

    Sounds Pacific Rim-y. Either this or the Ice, I think.

    There's a delete option right next to the edit button. As long as you're not doing it to hide bad rolls, troll, or mess about, no one appears to care.

    I like this. It feels thematic and (somewhat) realistic, given the icecaps melting and all.

    The oceans are poorly explored even to this day. They will never see it coming, and will find it hard to retaliate.
