Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted]

Keep in mind that social order and justice can be quite malleable concepts. Punitive Justice is only one approach, and by Autochtonian thinking, a pretty inefficient one, best suited to being the last resort(Gremlin'ed etc). Resources are finite, where possible for an offender to be rehabilitated, or put to use in another area, it's better than destroying them, which is in turn better than incarcerating them(which is a gross waste of time and resources, and only suitable for isolating a potential hazard where the hazard is poorly defined)

Hey, Gromweld, you forgot to say to us how the rolls influenced the last update!(At least you forgot to say it in the update: i didn't read all the thirty new pages after it)
Ah, shit, lemme fix that.

And now, given that this quest will be a Crafting quest in worm(And we already tasted a sample of it), i need to ask you a question: How will you handle tinkertech? It is mundane tech with artifact-like effects, or artifacts that doesn't require magical/exotics materials and needs to be repaired a lot? Or something else?
Tinkertech is mundane. It does not use Essence. It does, however, require high levels of Lore to fully understand - the charm gives you understanding for that application of it, but the comprehension dissolves the farther away from that specific device you try to apply the tech (if you don't have the Lore for it, that is). Trying to use Kid Win's skateboard hovertech on boots, for example, will fail unless you have the appropriate Lore.

Welp, time to scan the internet for info on everything technological. And Law, Order, and Justice related.

We are going to be rebuilding our Uncle Auto's glorious land after all! Praise Autochthon!

I suspect that Tinker-tech requires Elder levels of Lore to comprehend without charm assistance.

Not necessarily, Lore 5 is still pretty fucking good.

It's enough to carry one to Magitech 3 at least, which can let you build Gunzosha Commando Armor or a Windblade for instance.

Question: if we don't contact our family now, can we contact them later? I.e. is there anything stopping us from remembering that we actually have family after we calm down a bit?

Basically, can we stunt extended family into existence at some (hopefully soonish) later point?

I will note, specifically, that people have really been acting almost entirely on Meta knowledge for this vote.

ICly, if you are a Hero in America, you are a part of the PRT/Protectorate/Wards. Heroes outside of these organization are RARE and SUSPICIOUS because the PRT PR Machine is the best in the world. When Taylor researched the Cape scene there was a decent amount of grumbling about various specific PRT/Protectorate policies, but the OVERWHELMING sentiment that HERO = PROTECTORATE/WARD.

The villains and people that live outside the law know that the situation is WAY more gray than that, but that information is hard-earned and very easily lost in the mountain of mostly-genuine sentiment that the PRT/Protectorate are the forces of Order and Justice.

Part of my annoyance was from that actually. Taylor doesn't know that the PRT isn't the best thing. To her, it's a place for Heroes.

Then how does Taylor feel about the Apprenticeship -option?

[X] Option #1: Forgiveness & Wards
Looks like the best deal for our father, gets a nationwide anti-bullying campaign going... and gets Taylor in the Wards, which I think will be both interesting and good for her.
I can see the appeal of options #2 and #3, but this is my favorite.

I agree, which is why the only reason I am not voting for the Wards option is because at the moment there doesn't seem like it has a chance at winning and I'd prefer to stall over apprenticeship.

Personally, I feel that just blindly jumping into an apprenticeship, the Wards, etc is not exercising due diligence and will likely come back to haunt us in some fashion, PRT PR Machine or not.

But Taylor doesn't know that. More importantly, she wouldn't consider that.

Oh hey, roll results are up.

Rolls:
- You rolled exceptionally well on convincing Piggot to stand down.
Well, that's good. Two lucky social rolls in a row!
- Didn't get enough successes to remember more than a snippet of the Shard vision.
Pity. I wonder what this is based on. Just our Eidolon background, or something else?
- Miss Militia hit you with a bajillion successes to reinforce your Be a Hero Intimacy and inadvertently made herself one to you as well.
- Succeeded in noticing Miss Militia's reaction to your comment about "visions" in particular.
Yay high Perception for the second part.
- Failed to see past Piggot strong-arm as she hit nearly every social vulnerability you have.
- Barely succeeded to notice something amiss with the situation as a whole.
Ouch. Taylor needs to learn to use Read Motivation more often, it's a Perception + Investigation roll. 8 dice, can apply an excellency for an immediate 4 additional successes, difficulty equal to half the opponent's (Manipulation + Socialize) i.e. will never be above 5, and even then only in the absolutely rarest cases.

Alternatively, we tried to here and only got the "something amiss" result from very few successes.

Seriously guys, for our dad we should choose forgiveness and wards option. Let's be honest, apprenticing to armsmaster would probably suck. The dodge and delay option just screws us over.

If Gromweld doesn't mind, the tallybot will happily read in but not distinguish votes for two things (effectively a vote against the other options). Can use this to feel out support for your preferred option, while avoiding the options you don't want.

EDIT: Of course, we're up to page 95. Not sure when Grom is going to make a new page, if he's going to close voting at that time or require people to re-vote on the new thread or try and merge the votes across threads or what.

I'm not a big fan of Dodge & Delay, either, but I'll take it over throwing Danny under the bus just so we can apprentice to Dickhead McDouchebag (AKA Armsmaster) any day of the week. Especially since we'll probably get plenty of chances to work with him *anyway*.
