By the by, I'm working on my backstory now @Nervos Belli

Could I get a brief overview of how the Neo-Spartan program fits in with your homebrew setting? In PM if there's any spoilers to be had?

No problem. There's not much divergence from the actual series, other than changing around a few names. Project Valkyrie is the official name for the effort to find suitable pilots for the Einherjar(Evangelion) in this setting. Given that the world is only just starting to reorder itself, the available records are limited. So the Neo-Spartan would be someone that was found early, and put through a strict military regimen, plus a great deal of simulator training for the Einherjar. Actual live practice in the Einherjar would be limited.

The most likely way for the candidate to have been identified is to have been a relative of an AESIR staff or associate, as those were the first checked. Otherwise, AESIR may have simply gotten lucky identifying you at such a young age. (Basically, if you want a familial relation with a staff member, let me know and we can discuss it.)

With that said, I've made my decision as to players.

@AuraTwilight , @RexHeller , @Alectai , @Deadly Snark you have been selected to pilot the Einherjar in defense of humanity.

@Estro, sorry to disappoint, but I don't think I'm capable of running a game with five players. You'll be on the waitlist, when if one of these unfortunate souls finds Valhalla.

I'm going to need a few days to discuss your characters and put some finishing touches on the setting, then I'll post the IC thread.

Kay, should have a functional draft finished then, accept or don't at your desire!

EDIT: And the answer was apparently "Accept!" Yay!

I do note that my sheet has no XP spent because I didn't know if we were starting with any.

But yeah, my PC is apparently the only basically normal human being in this cast, it amuses me considering that she's Class President Soldier-tan

Just FYI, Jeremy is likely to punch anyone who insinuates that he is any different from a normal human being just because he has a really bad health condition right in the face.

Yay. I'll get working on finishing the character sheet soon.

Goddamnit it! I miss yet another Eva game! (I've yet to be in a single one that hasn't died despite over 5 years of trying!)

I thought calling first in a first come first serve game would be enough, but apparently not.

You might have better luck if you had either written a character--or if you did, not posted Jack Mason Again

Beyond that, this was never said to be First Come, First Serve.

It was something I added about ten minutes after I posted, when I decided first come first serve wasn't what I wanted. Sorry if you missed it Cloak.

Nearly forgot, while I'm finishing things up, you guys get to choose two technologies to use. Try to make it a unanimous decision.
