[x] Let her in. You need to give Amelia her lemon squares anyway.
-[x] Once she's distracted with Amelia, quietly sneak out and REVENGEANCE.
---
You decide to let her in, and sneak out when she's preoccupied. You'd have to try and rig a provoking conversation with your sister, but it's really your only chance. Someone hurt her, and they have to pay.
Your house isn't really anything special. Actually, to be honest it was special because it isn't. Before your mom had gone missing it was one of the prettiest houses in the neighbourhood. But afterwords... It wasn't until your dad met Angie that he'd gotten any better but, well never knowing what happened to her ravaged his mind. And being unable to tell him despite knowing, well it ravaged yours.
You enter without a word and lead Sara upstairs. Your dad is visiting Angie until seven, that leaves you four hours to enact your plan and be back. You'd check where Amelia is, but Sara won't let you Grasp. It's her own fault you have to do anything though, she's too weak to punish them herself.
"Amelia." You knock on her door, and hear a her get up excited about something. Did you tell her about the lemon squares? No, what's- your lower half wrapped in a hug as her door swings open. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Ok, definitely weird, she's not even reaching for the bag, definitely not the squares...
"I'm a hero! And it's all because of you!" Oh ya... that.
"Holy shit, you save people too?" Sara gasps behind you, thanks Sara... way to belittle your sister's achievement. "Of course she does!" You snap back.
"No, not her, you! Since when the hell have you cared about children?"
"Since Amelia got a crush. Why are you focusing on me? I didn't do anything!"
"That doesn't matter!" Amelia pipes up. "We saved a life today, it's time to celebrate!"
The three of you have a mini-party downstairs, Amelia's face doesn't very much change when you give her the lemon squares. Maybe you should have saved getting them for a day when she wasn't being dramatic...
The oddly enthusiastic celebration, like this is the only time you'd ever used your ability to help someone else save someone, does indeed give you time to slip away up to your room.
It's a normal teenager's room, well as normal as one gets, disorganized in just the right way that a totally inconspicuous weapon is within five feet at all times. No one would expect, with how messy it is, that it hides anything important.
'It's weird.' You think, as you open your closet and pull out a large black metal case. 'It's like they think I'm some kind of blood thirsty monster who doesn't care about people.' Opening the case you find your black cloak, silver mask, and your 'tools.'
It's strange, it's only been a few days, but it feels like years since you've been able to use these.
You quickly change, hurrying to make sure they don't notice you're gone before you're truly gone, and manage with ease.
As you slip out your window and onto a nearby tree, you close your eyes. 'Finally!' You scream internally with elation, you can 'Grasp.'
Dejavu
Under the tree, back at school, she's staring on at two objects, chess pieces, with faces. Britany and... Joseph, you can't make out what they're saying. Like it's being heard from under water, but with every word another tear drops down her face. You can feel it, the sky, it's a beautiful purple-"The oath, I'll deal with them, twenty minutes." Walking on a street, the area is so dull, so lifeless beyond the narrow line, but the road itself so colorful, the sign, 720 Wood, the window, it's reflective, reflecting the purple sky-
You shake yourself, you need move, now.
You jump, rolling as you land, and take off towards 720 Wood, you have less than twenty minutes to get there if you want to have any time to prepare.
