You see him from his getting dressed today, to his late nights with a girlfriend Stacy, and lies to his wife Katherine. You can see him taking his kids to school, and you can remember his own schooling from collage to highschool before it starts to get fuzzy. You know who he has under the table deals with. You know almost everything about him.
He steps away from your touch. "Get away from me you psycho!"
This man disgusts me. His ignorance of true greatness, his denial of my blessing, and his blatant disrespect in the face of Gaia?! Oh no, he's not getting away so easily. It has nothing to do with my failure to punch him in the face, promise!
I slowly turned to him, with a intense stare gazing right into his eyes. The people all around us felt the gravity of my imminent declaration and the chit chat stopped.
And thus I decree: "Betrayer of the pure, the world knows your sins. Pray, mortal, before your nightmare resurrects. Pray hard, and pray now, or all shall come to light."
Satisfied that I've dealt with him, I turned back to the crowd, hoping that my reputation from two years walking the earth would spare me the tedious task of finding the king of this land myself, I repeated: "King of this land, come forth and receive my blessing."
I sat on the dais and waited for the royal coach to usher me to their king. Reminiscing about the blue and red lights of the carriage I'm used to by now, I looked for a way to pass the time. Hmmm.
I took another bite of the rest of the stick of corn. The leaves are tasteless.
Much better than the stem.
