The crack on our bone layer. If we meld into the tree, then get out our dryad body again, will it vanish, kinda like a refresh on the dryad body or will it persist?
was thinking doing it as an experiment.
The second one is figuring out if we can grow our body from the branches/roots as well or just from the trunk? and if yes, is there any difference?
the third is just a rhetorical question. i would prefer to be careful with the digging, so neither the spiders nor the rats can come into our room because we made a big crack in the wall.
yea...that was the end of my night really, so i didnt really look
The quest, she lives!

You have had enough, you think, of being so trapped. Even with birds having come down to play in your branches now, you have had enough.
The birds don't stick around as you move roots up and pull down on the ceiling. It crumbles away bit by bit, but you finally have the ceiling down. Or at least, whatever was directly over your tree. You take a moment to account for everything and find that not a single leaf, at least currently, is touching the shade of the ceiling. At least that success feels good.
And now facing both failure and success, you sit on the tree's main body and consider your options. And as far as options go, the best thing is your skills.
What is it that you can actually do here?
It only takes a quick skim to get some ideas. You have everything you need to survive on your own, away from your tree. This just makes the failure earlier sting a bit more.
But moving on, it's also hard to not notice that you have a lot of earth skills. Anything that can prove immediately useful? Maybe you could evolve something again.
..Or maybe you could keep gardening with Spore. Hm... all things grown will be connected back to you. Can that be useful? Would it do anything if you grew something and then ate it? Maybe you'll end up with stone mushrooms? Or bone dust ferns. It sounds mildly interesting, but it all comes back down to if you think it could be useful or not. You pause and read the skill again. You, a dryad, could choose to grow a whole new tree. Or several trees? Maybe that'd be useful. But if you did grow a tree, you shouldn't grow it down here...that'd be competition, right? Your eyes drift upward for a moment, watching as the birds return to your branches, and considering several possibilities.
Taking a deep breath, you assure yourself that your options are not gone yet. You have a decent selection of skills, and your wits and experience as a gardener. Surely, something will come to mind.
...but for now, a break is required. And as the sun starts to set up above, you can feel Adders move again. A small smile tugs at your lips. Maybe now is the time. You look in the snake's direction, and begin to move slowly. With a whole lot of patience, and a little help from your Calm Aura, you once again approach. You did not know each other for very long, but you felt like there was some sort of trust happening between you two. Some sort of...connection.
Reaching into your skills, you reach out to Adders - inch worming your finger closer bit by bit...until you can just barely touch the very tippy tip of their tail. Something clicks, opening up a world of possibilities - but not for you. For Adders.
And experimentally, you think of a skill to give the little snake and settle on one fairly quickly. Since Adders sunbathes all the time anyways, you gift them independent photosynthesis. Once you've made your choice, it feels like a little bit of your energy leaves you, and into your friend. It also feels like your connection grows just a bit more. Once It is done, you notice that Adders moves immediately afterward, coiling tightly into a ball. You wonder what they are feeling, and what they're thinking....but you are still satisfied regardless, because the light green of Adder's belly darkens slightly, and even the black seems different. You tilt your head a little back and forth, before realizing what it is. The black is not completely black anymore. Instead, it too has become tinted with a dark green. You now have a plant-snake friend.
You can't help but chuckle a little, your mood is significantly lighter now.
The darkening sky once again grabs your attention though. You don't have much time before you should really rest again (as nights pass far more pleasantly when you can sleep through the screaming). What can you do to end the day on a high note?
