Well , as this let's play will be as close as I will getting to play Xcom2, do you need some meat for the grinder Generic_Generica ? If so please book me a spot.

Don't just chuck me in the oven if I croak, man. Recycle me into MELD, that I may live on with you all and continue to exact my revenge on the ayys.

Susland Mason was never a soldier, but when the aliens took over he went from hunting deer in the woods, to hunting aliens in the back streets. After he lost his family in a terror attack in the first war, he has moved around trying to stop others from being hurt by the alien administration. To keep his sanity he likes to pretend to be the Sniper from Team Fortress two, but that act hides trauma from the lose of his family.

... Wait, MELD is people!? What.

Yeah we've got spots left. Welcome aboard! Please leave your sanity at the door. You're not going to need it.

Incidentally, one spot left. Ooooone spot left.

Alright, lemme make a note of that in my little blue book of notes.

Yes I actually have a little blue book. :D

Oh by the way, I'm just going to come out and say this right now. If you want to write your character's biography that's totally alright with me. Either PM me or post something in this thread or something.

Otherwise I'm just going to write out individual biographies/Epitaphs for each character.
Okay, here's my (looooong) biography of Checkmate's interbellum:
"Of mixed European heritage, Fernandel was originally a cheerful XCOM shocktrooper of sterling qualifications that quickly earned a reputation for valuable tactical and strategic insight (and a propensity to shotgun aliens in the face). Unfortunately, the alien assault overran XCOM before those skills could be put to much use.

"She fled the destroyed African base, making her trek across the continent towards Europe to return home and also trying to foster up local resistance against the aliens. In twenty years, she founded and led countless resistance groups. The most successful lasted fourteen months, the least successful a mere three weeks.

"After making her way to Europe, she found her family dead and swore revenge for the dead world she remembers and the dying world she lives in. In her twenty years of violent resistance activity, she has gathered invaluable knowledge about the ADVENT occupation and the changed alien threat that she is more than happy to share, again putting her shotgun, daring, and brain at the Commander's disposal.

"Precious little is left of the cheerful woman that once joined XCOM, however, and she regularly joins Bradford at the bar. And considering the way she uses that sword of hers and strikes from the darkness, it seems very little sense of fair play remains in the rebels' vicious tactician."
If you want me to cut that down to something more manageable, Generic, just tell me! But these are also just hints as to how I imagine the character of my alter ego would develop. Now you have an insight into how to write her! :)

(But no pressure lol)

((And yes, I'm aware this is not a very funny or lulzy description. But I am trying to show the serious side of this story a bit.))

Just an old WMG that MELD was made by cultivating it inside people.

... Well that'd kind of explain why they were kidnapping so many peo-

No wait alien surgery tables and all that rot they were actually performing experiments on people. They weren't turning them into biological nanomachines that basically do everything. At least I hope they weren't.

... How the fuck would that even work?

The idea is that they would convert the body into a kind of growing chamber in which MELD nanomachines can be replicated.

Eh... 'Meld is people' doesn't seem very... efficient to me.

How would the Ethereals have enough if the only source was humans?

And why can't I get in on that action? I have lots of dead rookies. Just lemme incubate Meld inside them.
