well I certainly wasn't expecting to read ~350k in a week when I picked up In the Name of Love and Hatred, but here I am.
[X] Finish the job, no matter how long it takes
[X] Finish the job, no matter how long it takes
Little too early to manifest EGO/distort just yet
This reminds me that I wanted to talk about the subject for a bit.I expect this to continue to be a point of tension in the future.
And that's without taking into account that this is pre-SoLight. So expect more situations where everyone is weirded out that Ciel is being a decent human being.Being a good or even just decent person in the City will be a struggle.
Hang on a minute. And that's without taking into account that this is pre-SoLight. So expect more situations where everyone is weirded out that Ciel is being a decent human being.
… fuck now I'm imagining Ciel becoming the Well 2 electric boogaloo since the last person who had that was the only one who could create that.Hang on a minute.
Ciel is capable of following a dream and being a decent person, prior to the Seed of Light.
Yeah that can be pretty brutal. We'll need to play our cards carefully so poor Ciel doesn't end up a Rolando before Rolando. And that's without taking into account that this is pre-SoLight.
It's an interesting thought but I doubt it without some suitably dramatic plot twists. We do have the protagonist privilege of a dream and compassion, but Kali was explicitly working with the people fostering the Seed of Light. And as far as I know, all EGO manifestations are accompanied by the challenge of an outer voice, such as what Mimicry did for Kali or Carmen for the others.
No.
Tbh. Carmen is someone 'special' even before the Seed of Light, as a natural born 'Well' of Light, that can mass-produce Cognito.… fuck now I'm imagining Ciel becoming the Well 2 electric boogaloo since the last person who had that was the only one who could create that.
No?Its not ability to have that .Cityfolk dont have hope and ambitions because they forced to kill it by deceiving themselves that its caused by circumstances outside of their control. What seed of light does is that it encourages people to not give it up and gives strenght to rise up to the challenge. Again seed of light is a seed it cant sprout without nutrients and proper soil. The Light IS the ability to have dreams and morals, as well as being the source of EGO and Distortion.
After thinking about it some more, I decided to threadmark this post for future reference. I imagine the matter may come up in the future and I also want potential future players to see it with as little effort as possibleBeing a good or even just decent person in the City will be a struggle. I felt I should point that out so nobody goes Surprised Pikachu on me when Ciel keeps getting themselves in some sort of trouble for doing the 'right' thing.
I agree with not wanting hana, but still wanting to finish the mission.[X] Finish the job, no matter how long it takes
Not interested in Hana still, but marking a failure here will just get disapprovals from both Giano and Parvati. Let's just get it done I guess.
While you are not wrong, Ciel is well aware of the drain on time and resources a long-term job can be; especially an Urban Plague they want to solve with as little support as possible. This is a big thing and Ciel is still on the sane part of determined.
This is your regularly scheduled reminder that you are predictable.
We'll surprise you one of these days, and it will be when you least expect it!This is your regularly scheduled reminder that you are predictable.

To do what? Actually go and vote to taunt an Arbiter so the Quest bad ends by cause of being too dumb to live?So you still think we're predictable, eh? All goes according to plan. Just as Angela and Roland will one day do, we'll play our role perfectly to the very end before suddenly swooping in to…
Even we who oppose the Will of The City are still bound in a direction. As the Will of The Bandwagon commands. This is your regularly scheduled reminder that you are predictable.
