I am truly interested to see the effects of a magical world on the many kingdoms and empires in Europe, it will hopefully be devastating and chaotic.

Also I think we can do more to help the Empire in a long term way as the graduate.

i like suffering and reaping the benefits of such suffering, so a merchant patrician is the way to go for me.

@Dapperlad1 what is the situation in the papal states. What is the reaction of the pope with magic returning and the old Gods coming to the world once again. Are they preparing a crusade to take the west.

dapper simply informed me that option posed the best means to fuck the venetians. While I enjoy gun wizard, I hate venetians more. plus, it will let us explore more of the world we've created
 
Galaxy brain play: be a graduate of the university of Constantinople, who is the third son of a wealthy merchant family, and when he graduates have him receive word that his entire family dies in a freak boating accident (totally an accident, swear on me mum), and he is now the inheritor, and has to balance the life of a merchant with the life of a mage
 
And then we can rain down holy hellfire on the Venetians AND make shit loads of money, at the SAME TIME!
