Ancient Humanity is OP as all hell, their all super long lasting super geniuses (Their smarter than Modern Humans by a lot)
Apparently their also better in all ways than a Spartan.

    You were of Humanity the race that evolved on Erde-Tyrene many millennia before. From your humble beginnings you rose to build an Interstellar Empire. Then you met them, the Ecumene, at first your relationship was cordial yet cold. They considered you inferior but undeniably considered you a threat. To defend yourselves you allied with the San'Shyuum and with their advanced technology you advanced by leaps and bounds. Then the parasite was found. At first you believed it to be a strange evolutionary tool made to induce (comparatively) rapid evolution in lower level animals. When its true nature was discovered you went to war with the infected and in order to spare the galaxy from your failure you sterilized infected worlds. The Ecumene believing you to be attacking invaded and for centuries you fought a two front war. In order to finally halt the advance of the parasite you sacrificed a third of your remaining population to destroy the parasite. The self destroying genes destroyed the parasite and you could finally focus your might upon the Ecumene. However Humanity was slowly losing ground to the Ecumene and the loss of a third of your numbers exacerbated the push. With the fortress worlds surrounding the capital world of Charum Hakkor about to be assaulted your brightest minds realized the war was lost and in order to safeguard the future of your species they began construction of the Ark. You were chosen to lead the Exodus to whatever end.

    So text implies we were chosen to lead the exodus at the end, but we're starting just before the covenant arrive? So we've been in charge for a long looonnng time? or not?

    Name wise, Halo has the Norse naming convention going on, always liked that.

    BTW the next vote will be over the Ark itself. Two of the choices will be 1. Cryo Bay which will keep you in the milky way aka Halo galaxy and 2. Experimental Drive which will take you to the ME galaxy. On that matter what should we call the ME galaxy?

    Also I will not keep to the ancient humanity aesthetic of native americans being ancient humanity. At least in the pictures. So go ham on names, and maybe pictures if you want.

    Oh I know. I'm just going to ignore that, because there's camp, and then there's whatever that is. Call it providence, the return of the original Norse to humanity.

    Didn't realize humans and Mass Effect will be in different galaxies. So we have the original Milky Way behind us, and Andromeda over on the side. Making ME a third local galaxy I guess. The Triangulum seems to be the next closest galaxy that's not a dwarf or a satellite, I looked it up. Local Group on Wikipedia.

    Gonna vote ME too. We know humanity back home will be reasonably fine without us, and it brings me great joy to show up with technology far outside the context of the Reaper cycle.

    P.S. IC we left behind a killing field saturated with enemies, is what I should have said.

    Humanity or as your people would call them de-evolved humanity is still around and expanding with the whole unsc thing. However the time period is 32 years before first contact at Harvest, so they are having to deal with the begining of the insurrection.

    okay, maybe it will either us be taking back our birth-right against the now devolved humanity...because now there's two separate species of humanity running around, one chosen by the precursors to be the rightful heirs to the mantle of responsibility, and the other? forerunner modified humans...yeah that's not going to go well with traumatized ancient humanity.

    shame we couldn't be in a earlier era to change the out-come of the covenant...because if we could change the covenants outlook to the actual precursors as the rightful "gods" (because holy shit those ancient beings could have been like benevolent C'tan for all their bullshit tech) and the forerunners were the usurpers.

    of course that's if the thread decides to do a change within the theocracy that the covenant is. Still it could be useful if guided right, and in capable hands a multi-species unified government that's not reliant of mass effect as well as dumb-ass council bullshit and fucking asari. (I don't like the asari as a race, individuals I can tolerate and maybe like...but mostly they rub me the wrong way very much so.)
