A Fog in the Darkness [AoBS Multicross SI]

Strongest attack by an Android would just scratch the paint on a Fog heavy cruiser.

Let alone a frikkin battleship. Battleships also have dual Union Cores (unless you're this SI), which allows them to hack extremely quickly. In the manga, Takao prides herself on being a Heavy Cruiser with high amounts of processing power, but she is hacked by Yamato (a battleship) before she can even react.

Perhaps, if the SI was less human and more AI, he would probably use hacking as a weapon as well. Which one is stronger in terms of RAM, an Android or an AI that micro-manages Nanomaterial on the individual level and can support a human shape?

Given the wide range of computational software and hardware barriers (eg, a quantum computer is entirely incompatible with a classical one unless it has heavy emulation software), I doubt it can realistically be used as a weapon.

No. What you are talking about is trivial. Your average PC has dozens of programs on it, called drivers, that do exactly that sort of translation to get the different components to communicate with each other. The architectures of your CPU, your GPU, the micro-controller on your hard drive, the micro-controller on your power supply, and the BIOS are all drastically different.

When we start getting quantum computers going in RL, they will likely be treated as specialty peripherals just like GPUs. The bigger gap is jumping from a physical neural network to anything else, but that has been handled already.

Fog E-War is top tier.
See Haruna accessing military protocols during attack on mansion. She did it in seconds at most. I'm pretty sure that Fog access human hard drives directly, without using networks.
I know very little about Nier. But in prologue 9S hacks Goliath, and Fog Yamato-class battleship has A LOT MORE processing power.

But, it was repeatedly shown that Magician has severe problems using any computational capabilities, so it's entirely possible that he personally just can't hack it.

If you need processing power for hacking you are doing it wrong. Brute forcing requires exponentially more power the higher you go and in the end you can't hack something faster than your target can respond. Oh, certainly having an intelligent system helps in such things and actually lets you use that power but have you ever tried to play a game vastly outside of your computer's capabilities? It's slow to respond and even harder to play right? Something of the same problem would come up when you vastly out preform your target where it becomes much more an "play by email" setup for you.

YoRHa has been fighting the Machine Lifeforms for awhile, and they have a massive wealth of knowledge about their systems and networking, stuff like vulnerabilities and similar things. Against other systems, they will probably have to create new set of cyberwarfare protocols before they can wreck any form of large scale damage.

There's also another reason, but its spoileriffic for Automata so I'm not going into that FTM.
