35.60.2-Daedalus Student(God of War)(Efficiency)(600CP):It is one thing to work on forging mere sword and shield, but it is another to create truly marvelous wonders... for a mortal. You could make marvelous wings out of bird feathers and beeswax, capable of granting flight to anyone. Or maybe you wish to create an everchanging Labyrinth, that shifts and alters itself depending on how it moves. Regardless, your architect and forging skills have taken a dramatic increase, to the point where the things you create just may have properties and quality they normally shouldn't have, albeit directed towards the purpose of your creations. Through your works, your will be known... but take care that the gods do not take offense with your work.

28.5.0-Skyforge(The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim)(Metallurgy)(200CP):An ancient, mysterious, eagle themed forge added to your warehouse. Any metal items crafted at the forge will be significantly harder and stronger for it. Something about the fires.

17.37.2-Exemplar(Girl Genius SB)(Intelligence)(400CP):Indeed, it might be an understatement. You're now… more, Jumper. More than what you were and more than what any mortal can be. While the most evident and powerful effects of this perk are seen in Sparks, no beings can go entirely unaffected by something like this. Firstly, you are now the absolute peak of everything you can be. Human, dragon, clank or Jäger, you're unquestionably among the ten finest specimens of your kind in existence. Indeed, this perk, in addition to paying the full 800 CP price above, would let you even be an extra-dimensional being like a Dreen or somesuch, limited by and large only by your own imagination. But that aside, you're the finest, most capable beings of your kind anywhere out there. Physically, mentally… in every way that counts, your actions come across as deeper, more important, your everything screams of something that defies any and all mortal limits. Indeed, none apply to you now. Any limits on your training, physical capacity, mental enhancements… any limits on anything relating to you ceases to exist. You can grow without end, continuing in an endless growth regardless of how much or how little sense it might make.

Exemplar Boosted: Your talents with the sparks cross the basic boundaries all the way, transforming you into something altogether beyond. You have had the second breakthrough, the transformation that makes you from a Spark into true Spark Royalty! You are like one of the Immortal God-Queens of old, of which only a precious few remain today.

You're not a fully grown, matured God-Spark like Albia, but you're further along than Agatha or Lord Snackleford. Along with having psychic powers like levitation and telepathy, you can release blasts of pure energy to scour your foes from the earth. You can see in more than three dimensions, and even interact with beings beyond the mortal plane in several ways. You have the power to shapeshift freely, going from giant to normal in an instant, and acquiring any colour, appearance or form you desire.

You can possess willing subjects, and break any mind control or subversion on your subjects. You can control energy in various forms, most of them rather unspecified. Most importantly, of course, your talents with actual Sparking transcend any ordinary sparks entirely, being almost as much beyond them as they are beyond mundane scientists. You have a surfeit of ideas, almost as if you can do anything! You don't even need to bother with Madness Places very much anymore, that is, being 'Suspended in an Eternal Moment of Supreme Clarity'. You do retain your ability to scare lesser minds out of their skin just by talking.

Oh, and you gain a rotating Halo of any symbols of your choice, turning around your head in an endless circle. Basically, you have somewhat weaker versions of any powers displayed by Albia, even those not mentioned here. And you would grow to match her as soon as you acquire enough experience. You can hide the obvious bits of this, but why would you want to?

A.N.: This is why I didn't post the Perk list till now :p

Well... Exemplar certainly changes things in a big way. This... is going to be fun.

Also, seeing the flow of energy... do you think that'd let him create custom orbs of delfire on demand?

Yes he could, but in his opinion the Power Cores are just better. And they aren't the end version.

Well… Hell of a perk draw there. Damn.

Yup, it's a woozy. And next perk will change things even more.

Chapter 87

AFfMB – 87

Aster looked down at the dog golem, he had spent at least a couple of hours every day since they had found the barn practicing charging the magitech appliances. Thankfully he had broken none of them, just mostly had difficulties charging them efficiently. Sometimes he pushed too hard and most spilled in light and heat, others it was too little and the magic seemed peter out when he tried to use them.

Jess had been very helpful as she appeared to be very interested in the magitech's working. Right now she was standing next to him as he placed the dog down, further scans in the ship had revealed a series of pretty interesting details about the pooch.

While the truck, the construction of the barn and the style of the appliances found corresponded pretty solidly to the early twenty century, the magitechnology itself was much more advanced than what it looked like. Jess theorized that the process of utilizing engraved and enchanted crystals must have started a few centuries before their Earth had entered the age of electronics, leading to a much more advanced and complex use of said technology.

Another interesting detail about the dog was that it relied on magic's ability to simplify some very complex processes; the pooch used this to keep a pretty smart virtual intelligence to act as a pet and most likely farmer's companion.

"Just charging it up should be enough to make it recognize you as its owner. While we lack a manual, we're pretty sure the complete discharge of its batteries has completely restored it to factory settings." Jess noted as he looked at the golem dog.

A few meters away the human kids were watching, Raf had expressed a curiosity about magitech, still not completely trusting it was actual magic. Miko from sheer curiosity, something she appeared to exude. And Jack mostly because the other two had come too. Accompanying them were Bumblebee playing chaperone.

"That's good to hear." He placed his hand on the dog's medal before channeling his energy into it at a steady rate. He kept an eye on the energy indicator on the dog's collar, watching it fill up, stopping once it marked full. "Done."

"Now just put your hand on its head and name it." Jess recited.

He nodded and did as told. "Wally." The dog instantly reacted, first by opening its eyes before stretching up and shaking off. It was obvious it was going through a start-up.

"Woof." The golem playfully barked as it lowered its head and lifted its rear, wagging its tail.

"Hey boy." Aster smiled and petted it, smiling brighter when the golem seemed to enjoy it.

"Impressive," Jess observed. "It's creating a very thin layer of magic over its body not only to protect it, but also to simulate the sense of touch, hearing and smell."

Miko wandered closer. "So it can smell from any part of its body? Even its butt?" She grinned.

"Yes, and the tip of its tail, bottom of its paws, etc…" Jess happily answered. "Actually wagging its tail would allow it to easily calculate location and distance of smells just like a snake would, and the bottom of its paws quickly measure things like ph from the ground or possible hazardous materials."

"What I want to know," Aster prompted. "Is it safe to keep around?"

"Oh! Completely! We found it practically intact and magic's already fixing the small wear and tear it had. I would still suggest letting dad give it a look next time we see him just to be sure. But this dog will run for decades if not centuries as long as you keep him topped up." She said and rubbed her chin. "And most likely it will break from an accident before it actually stops working."

"Centuries? Isn't that a bit too long?" Raf asked, to which Bumblebee once more communicated with his usual series of beeps, whistles and boops.

He could tell the 'bot was saying it wasn't that long actually.

"As our big, yellow friend here said. It's not actually that long, I understand you humans have a shorter concept of life expectancy, but beings like us see the world a bit differently."

Jack seemed the first to understand what his sister was speaking about. "Wait, humans can live easily seventy to eighty years and plenty reach up to a hundred. Exactly how long you guys live?"

Aster felt a small twist in his stomach and exchanged a look with Jess, his younger sister looked a bit lost to explain. So he did it instead. "Millennia, easily. Dad designed us from military AI, meant to advise during long wars. And dad improved on that a lot, right now I think he calculated that we could live tens of thousands of years." He shrugged.

"...wait, wouldn't that mean that you will outlive your dad by like a lot?" Miko asked in a sentimental tone.

He knew it wasn't the best reaction, but he snorted in a bullish fashion. "No, dad is… well, he was human. I don't think there's a good word for what he is now. But some of us are pretty sure he will outlive us at this rate. Of course as long as he's alive he can improve us or transplant our souls to new bodies."

That left the kids without words, not that it bothered him much. Instead he willed a sphere of rock to pop off the ground and land on his palm as he quickly threw it, ordering Wally to fetch it. The golem shot after it, lifting dust after its passing.

The dog quickly returned and placed the ball at his feet, making Aster smile and flex his will further. A loud rumble was all that indicated something was happening before a full obstacle course popped off the hard, rocky ground. Wally seemed to understand instantly what he wanted, or maybe the golem wasn't as empty as Jess had theorized given how happy it looked.

"Go boy." He ordered lightly as the golem run through the whole course.

It was definitely not a professional course, mostly ups and down, some hoops, tunnels and barriers to jump over. He couldn't exactly shape normal rock to make a seesaw. But it didn't stop Wally from completing the course.

"Good boy." He reached down to pet the golem, the pet pressing back happily.

Aster was only slightly surprised to see Miko practically appear at his side. "Can I?" She asked, giving her puppy dog eyes.

He snorted. "Go ahead, she's a friend, Wally." He still presented her as she reached to pet the golem. The dog reacted like a friendly canine, sniffing her hand before pressing its head against her hand.

"It's weird, I can feel it's hard, but at the same time it's softer than it appears." She observed.

"That's the magic field over it." Jess explained. "A soft or very thin all-purpose cushion. Otherwise this pup would easily scratch most wood floors."

A moment later Raf and Jack had wandered close to pet Wally too, a few meters away Bumblebee watched them. The youngest of the humans had noticed quickly. "What's wrong, Bee?"

The 'bot carried his usual set of tones and whistles, making Raf twist his mouth. "That's rough buddy."

"What did he say?" Jack asked.

"He said that he never had a pet," Raf started to explain, interrupted by the bot thrilling again. "because he was born during the war, so he went from birth to the battlefield."

"Wait, wouldn't his parents be worried about that?" Miko asked.

"Oh, I can explain that!" Jess grinned. "Cybertro-" Before her sister could speak more, the bot visibly shifted and placed his fingers up to his ear, listening to a communication before turning to them and burbling once more.

"Bee says Ratchet got a transmission from another Autobot." The boy explained.

"Let's go, I want to meet them!" Miko's attention was already on the next shiny thing as everyone snorted. "Come on, another bot's coming, I wanna meet them!" She started to rush away as everyone followed.

Except the two of them. "You can go with them, I'll be here for a bit more."

"I… I think I'll stay too. I want to see how Wally works more." She admitted and he nodded.

"Ok, what do you want to see next?" He asked with a smile as she gushed in questions and ideas for tests.

\/AFfMB\/

"Wheeljack! Old buddy, it's so good to hear of you again." Bulkhead cheered.

"Bulkhead! Nice to know you haven't bit it yet… things haven't gone too well out here in the galaxy." He couldn't help but wince at those words.

"That bad?" He sighed. "Well, it's not like we didn't know being a Wrecker comes with a shorter life-span."

He quickly noticed a message from Optimus in the corner of his vision: Can you confirm it's him? He nodded to his leader.

"At least you're safe, Wheeljack." Optimus spoke. "How long do you think it'll take you to arrive?"

"Optimus? Well color me impressed, I honestly thought that this would be just a couple of bots hiding on an uninteresting planet, but if you're there too I can tell why all the security in this signal."

"Sadly we're only a handful here. But we have found new allies." His leader spoke calmly. "It's just that the Decepticons are also here, and Megatron with them. We need as many Autobots to help us… because even if Cybertron may be lost, we could start a new life here."

"I know of a few bots around, I'll pass the word…carefully."

"Thank you, Wheeljack."

"And I would say a Cybertronian day or so." The other Autobot added.

"Safe travels." Optimus finished before Wheeljack cut off the communication.

"Another Autobot? Cool!" Miko cheered as she climbed onto Bulkhead's shoulder. "Also what's a Wrecker?"

"The Wreckers are… were a group of Autobots who took some of the most dangerous missions around. Things like sabotage, striking behind enemy lines, literal suicidal missions and other similar tasks." Bulkhead reminisced. "As you can imagine, not many of us are around anymore. I was pretty sure I was the last till Wheeljack called."

Miko patted his shoulder to make him smile. "It's okay, if you need another Wrecker you can count on me." She offered and he chuckled.

"Well, you do remind me of a few good bots I met over the years." He smiled and turned to Optimus. "Now what?"

"With Athena helpfully improving our base, we'll be able to receive any other Autobot that's looking for refuge. Even if they don't want to fight the Decepticon, offering them a safe place would be a difference."

He nodded thoughtfully, but not for long as Miko had quickly dragged him into some other of her crazy ways to pass time.

\/AFfMB\/

"So this is the planet WJ was talking about?" The Autobot looked out of the window. "Pretty colorful."

"Yup, he told us to be careful. But apparently they're keeping a low profile while being in contact with the locals." The other bot explained from the pilot's seat.

He snorted. "I'm sure we can get along with the locals, DG, as long as they let me drive fast I'm happy."

The other bot chuckled. "It's always the same with you CF."

The console beeped. "Oh, what's this? … new coordinates. They must be pretty deep in hiding if they are only sending them now." The bot tapped a few times and turned. "There we go."

"Lots of plants, and pretty humid, I hope we don't rust." The one called CF chuckled as their ship soon landed on a spot marked with flares with some humans looking up. "Oh, a welcoming committee, I feel pretty welcome, do you do too?"

Once the ship touched ground, the two of them stepped out. "Greetings, we come in peace, take us to your leader." DG said and waved before turning to his partner and chuckled. "I always wanted to do that."

The two little beings in front of them exchanged a look, CF wondered if they all looked so similar like these two. After a moment one gestured at them to follow as the two little beings turned and started to walk away.

"Not too chatty?" DG asked.

"The boss wants to see you soon." One of them spoke in a stilted tone.

"Oh, gotcha." DG rubbed his chin. "Got names? I'm Deadguy, and this is my friend Cannonfodder."

The two little beings exchanged a look, but before they could speak a sudden noise made them all turn. Deadguy's eyes opened wide when the Soundwave walked out from behind the trees, he could feel his fluids freezing, this was terrible news.

"Get behind us little guys, this is a Decepticon, and all Decepticons are bad news. But Soundwave… to think we would find you here." He pulled his sword as Cannonfodder next to him pulled his gun.

His friend had moved with him between the two guys. "Let's show you why they call us dead cannon"

Soundwave took a step forward. "Bad" "LUCK"

"Uh…?" Deadguy only managed to utter as a couple of shots rang behind them, the shock ran through their bodies.

A moment later the two of them fell to the ground paralyzed, watching as the two little beings nodded to Soundwave. Vehicons soon picked them up, dragging their immobilized bodies away.

\/AFfMB\/

"I'm sorry Optimus, their signal disappeared before entering the atmosphere. Something has blocked all communications coming and going." Ratchet sighed.

"I've had about just as much luck." Athena admitted. "Since they approached the planet from the other end I was practically blind."

Optimus Prime sighed sadly. "I fear that the Decepticons may have already taken them out. Though I wonder how they managed to get them to lower their guard."

"We can only guess." Ratchet grumbled

"I've not established a satellite network yet, mainly because this is not my World. But I would ask you permission for this." Athena spoke in their usual neutral tone.

"It's not our world, Athena." Ratchet didn't grumble, it still hurt to think about a lack of a proper home.

"But we can talk with Agent Fowler, I'm sure his superiors will be interested if they get access to it." Optimus offered.

"I hope they do, it would be very helpful. While I don't expect it to reveal the Decepticons' location, it'll help keep us from being blindsided again." They nodded gently. "I'll go now, I've to finish with the reinforcement of the lower levels of the base"

A soft click came as the communications closed, leaving only Ratchet and Optimus in the room. Bulkhead, Arcee, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee had headed out to welcome Wheeljack, but mostly to make sure the bot didn't land in enemy's hands. Jack, Miko and Raf were currently attending human school, busy for a few more hours. Finally the members of the Celestial Forge had decided to head out to do their thing, mostly explore the world or stay in their ship; the only exception was Athena, and mostly because they were working drones deeper down the base.

"I still don't know about trusting them so easily, Optimus." Ratchet admitted, even when he couldn't deny the crew of the Celestial Triumph was honest nearly to a fault. He could also admit that having access to their fabrication facilities through the DIA system was an incredible boon, it had been a long time since he had access to some of the tools he now could request at a moment's notice.

"I know you don't want to be called paranoid, my friend. But I can feel it here," He tapped his chest. "We can trust them, when they said Primus sent them here, the Matrix of Leadership reacted positively about it."

"That's…" He sighed. "I think I'll trust them a bit more then, I doubt many would elicit such a reaction. It's also very useful to know that we've access to Energon and some Cybertronian products we just can't produce here. We lost so much with the Ark."

"Chin up, we've a proper chance to turn this cold war around for the first time in a long time. And we may find a new home on this planet even if we can't fix Cybertron."

"But Optimus…" Ratchet's words died and his mouth twisted.

"Think about it, Ratchet. We may see a day in the future where we share this planet with humans without the need to hide ourselves."

"I don't like it, it feels like giving up on Cybertron. And even if we would adopt Earth as our new home planet, we still have to deal with the Decepticons, call all of the Autobots wandering the galaxy and recover the All-Spark to even make sure we can survive."

Optimus nodded to his words. "And right now that may be easier than ever before. But we can't forget that for as many Autobots wandering the galaxy, there are Decepticon forces still lingering. And I don't doubt that Megatron may call for them to return to him."

"I hope we are ready then, Optimus." Ratchet said grimly as the field team messaged them to note that Wheeljack had just landed.

\/AFfMB\/

"So you met Wheeljack in the Wreckers?" Arcee asked as the three of them walked calmly to the spot the Autobot would be landing.

"Yeah, he must be the bot I shared most missions with. I mean, there was also Swiftcog, but that old bot passed away a long time ago, that son of a bitch blew himself to destroy the generators keeping Tonnicon's shields." Bulkhead's gaze got lost in the distance.

Cliffjumper grinned. "I remember that explosion."

Bumblebee chirped at him, making the bot laugh.

"Nah, they never knew he did it. I don't think anyone outside of the Wreckers knew till now. The old two-wheeler could slip into very tight spaces and used that skill to get into the place without being seen."

"So that's why you never commented about me?" Arcee asked a bit more emotionally.

Bulkhead snorted. "Please, I've seen you fight Arcee, only an idiot would comment about you not being a large-sized bot."

She snorted and knocked Cliffjumper's shoulder. "Like this one?"

"Hey! I never said you can't fight, I just told you I could be a good partner… plus you can't complain about anything when I'm technically smaller than you now." He grinned.

"And you are adorable." She added teasingly, making the group laugh, even Cliff after he huffed.

The group kept talking even as they reached the agreed spot, only having to wait for less than an hour before a ship broke through the clouds. Bulkhead couldn't help but smile as he saw it come down, no rush on its descent, nor any indication that he was in trouble. On the contrary, he could recognize the code flashed by the landing gear as the ship touched ground.

"Haha! Jackie!" He rumbled as the back of the ship opened and the white and silver Autobot stepped out.

"Bulkhead!" They exchanged a quick hug. "Damn if it's not been a long time since we saw each other. And greetings to all of you."

"Wheeljack, nice to have you here." Arcee stepped forward to shake hands with the wrecker. "I'm Arcee, these are Cliffjumper and Bumblebee, we're happy to welcome you to planet Earth."

"Planet dirt, really?"

"Don't knock it till you try it, partner." Bulkhead chuckled. "There's plenty of long roads to pass the time and with the Decepticons here we have plenty of guys to kick right in the ass."

The other bot laughed. "Sounds like my kind of place." He looked over at them. "You lot look a bit different than most bots out there."

Bulkhead chuckled. "Well, we'll have to get you a fitting alternate form, right now we're laying low and the local vehicles don't look as spiffy as our Cybertronian forms."

"I'm sure there's at least one vehicle that fits me out there." He laughed. "Did any other bot get here before me?"

His comment made the mood drop quickly. "Uh… about those guys…" Bulkhead didn't know what to say, so instead Bee passed the bad news with a series of chirps, chimes and burbles.

"Tsk, those damn Decepticons, traitorous sorts, the very last of them." Wheeljack groweld. "I should have shot that ship on orbit on the way down and not just sneaked around."

"Woah! No, no, no, that ship's not Decepticon, Jackie." Bulkhead held his hands in front of his body. "That's the Celestial Triumph, they are allies. They are the ones that shot down the Nemesis and kept old ugly, Megatron, from really screwing things up."

"They saved my life, and from what I was told, we came back just in time. A good ol' heroic entrance and all." Cliff chuckled. "Also Athena's pretty no nonsense and would have just shot you down if you attacked their ship."

"Athena? I'll keep that in mind… So any idea of who we lost?"

"Sadly we have no idea, the moment they were close enough to open communication, all the channels got taken over. We're pretty sure Soundwave's responsible and last I heard Optimus, Ratchet and Athena were looking to set something up to prevent it from happening again."

"Once we're back I can see about contacting the others, hopefully we can be sure they're safe." Wheeljack offered.

"Yeah, plus we got some-" He stopped talking as they all got a message at the same time. "Looks like we've to rush back, something came up. Come on, Jackie, it sounds like the Decepticons are asking for it."

He laughed. "Perfect, the trip here has been pretty boring. It'll be nice to get into a warm-up fight."

\/AFfMB\/

Optimus watched as the Landbridge closed once the Monsters stepped through only a minute after his team returned to base with Wheeljack. He had exchanged a quick message with Bulkhead, the bot confirming it was indeed him.

"Glad to see that everyone could come." Optimus nodded to Ratchet. "Agent Fowler contacted us a few minutes ago, the Decepticons have been carrying out a series of quick raids to over a dozen different locations. Military bases, electronic factories and construction companies, all of these were hit in a short period of time, one after the other. Impressively the amount of damage was minimal after they forcefully gained entry."

"Sounds like they knew what they were after." Arcee mused.

"That's the same thing Agent Fowler's superiors think. They still lack a proper list of all of the items that were stolen, but I greatly suspect that it was mostly the necessary materials to fix the Nemesis." Optimus said.

"It's only been a few days… how could they know where to hit?" Bulkhead asked. "I know Decepticons are smart and cunning, but this is a bit too fast."

"I suspect that the Decepticons are receiving help from a local group." Optimus offered, giving Ratchet a nod.

"Athena has helped me retrieve some of the security tapes from one of the military bases that was hit." The bot explained as a grainy feed played on the screen.

The recording started by showing an empty hallway at first, before a pair of guards walked past in an obvious patrol. A moment later a figure in a complete body-concealing suit snuck up behind one of the men, killing him in a swift and silent fashion before doing the same to the other one; they rummaged through their clothes to retrieve what appeared to be keycard.

The feed changed to a larger room, the same figure sneaked around, barely on the edge of the image before the feed changed once more. Now it showed what was definitely a security room, one of the screens in the room showed the same feed they were watching. Though a moment later a problem was revealed as the same man snuck into the room but the feed didn't change.

"As you can see, there's obviously a human group helping the Decepticon. They have the training and most likely the inside knowledge needed to know where and when to hit." Optimus spoke gravely. "In total about thirty people died before the Decepticons hit these places, and nearly doubled during the attacks. I doubt this unknown group's being coerced to act, they appear more than eager to carry these actions."

"This is definitely bad news, but not all you called us here for." Passion prompted.

"That's right, Agent Fowler's been asked to carry a bait mission. He's currently driving a truck with a generator that should have been in one of the military bases hit. Given that the room it had been stored till yesterday was actively searched, his superiors are pretty sure the Decepticons will move against it." He explained. "That gives us the chance to prepare for them and stop them when they move."

The moment he finished speaking, the console beeped and Ratchet picked the call.

"Optimus, they are moving." The man's voice came through clearly.

"Good to hear, Agent Fowler. We're on the way, stay safe." He turned to look at the Autobots before turning to the Celestial Forge's forces.

"Of course we're helping." Rose grinned.

He nodded in gratitude. "Autobots, transform and roll out!"

Harry Potter should be included in Earth Cartoon, there was a pair of Red headed twins named Fred and George in Amity Park who said they attended a school in Scotland with ghosts haunting their school and werewolves in the forest near their school.

Not really, I've mentioned before that they were just expies, not the actual characters. Harry Potter just doesn't fit in the world without a lot of modifications (honestly, just look at the world map of the magic schools, it's frankly ridiculous).

Chapter 88

AFfMB – 88

Silas leaned over and looked down from the helicopter's window, his current position by the pilot allowed him the best view of the road down below without actively leaning out from the flying vehicle. He opened his laptop and worked on it for a moment before a smirk grew on his lips, the truck they were following was the correct one.

He could tell this was a trap. The only piece of technology they hadn't been able to acquire during their raids with the Decepticons was currently being transported without any sort of escort and out in the open, practically asking for them to come and take it. But it was also a trap of opportunity as the generator had been moved unexpectedly just a day before their attacks for some tests at another location.

That little detail had kept them from acquiring it, and now the American military forces were dangling this juicy piece of bait in front of their eyes and watching if they bit. It was too good of a chance to pass up, especially when MECH didn't need to hide so much anymore.

"Sir, our forces are getting in position." One of his operative's voice came from his comm unit and Silas smiled. "What are your orders?"

"Good, just as we planned. We hit fast, hard and take the generator before they can do anything about it."

"Underst- Sir, there's an unknown moving in."

"What now?" He growled and ordered the pilot to turn the helicopter just enough to give him a good view of the interloper.

A red and blue truck was speeding up the road, quickly approaching and overtaking the convoy of his forces. It quickly approached the target and started to trail it, the truck not reacting to the one behind it.

"What's that…?" He pulled a pair of binoculars and zoomed them in. "...no way." He grumbled as he noticed the mark on the truck's back, the Decepticons had shared enough information to recognize the Autobot's logo. "New orders, shoot to destroy. We can get a lot from their scrapped remains."

"Understood sir, everyone move in." He grinned as he watched the convoy move in closer.

Of course things couldn't be as easy, as the moment his forces moved in acted like some sort of unspoken signal for the back of the truck to pop open and a blue bike spring out from it. He begrudgingly had to admit the driver was better than any of his men as they expertly landed on the hood of one of the cars and forced it to swerve off the road as they easily landed on the road without even losing speed.

After the bike a small number of cars came out, it wasn't hard for him to tell it was impossible they all had been inside the trailer. He could only growl as the cars used their landing and U-turn to hit nearly half of his drivers off the road.

The only reason they weren't instantly out of the mission was the fact that they weren't normal cars. He had to unwillingly give it to the Decepticons, being given a small number of car-transformers to boost up his forces was quickly becoming very useful. He watched as they quickly got back onto the road and accelerated to match the Autobot forces.

"Sir." The pilot by his side spoke. "We've company. Bogey at eight."

He turned, another helicopter was quickly closing on them. It surprised him more to not see the Autobot's logo on it, instead having what appeared to be an unknown party.

"Keep us out of trouble, and if it becomes impossible, retreat." He ordered the pilot before grabbing his radio. "To all forces, change of priorities: destroy the interlopers first, recover the target if possible."

"Sir, yes sir." The radio barked before going silent.

"Let's see how much you show now." He thought out loud as he watched the situation.

\/AFfMB\/

Ghost couldn't help but grin as she did a quick swerve of the wheel and hit the front of one of the cars coming up behind her, forcing it to not only go off road, but hit a pretty large boulder. One more out of the race.

Next to her one of the Auxiliary Team members, Sasha, was sitting and looking a little green, which was actually quite impressive.

"Are you sure we've to do this?" Her little brother practically whined.

"You wanted to do this," She noted with a smirk. "Now you get to help. And don't worry, all you have to do is keep driving as I move onto the truck."

He just grumbled. "They'll be shooting at me, sis! I now know why Nike commented about not wanting to get on car drives during attacks."

"Suck it up, buttercup." He glared at her. "Come on, it's not that bad, you can rush on ahead. I doubt we'll need you much and as far as Athena can tell, all of their forces are behind us."

"Okay, okay." She heard him say and grumble about knowing better next time.

"Just keep the car steady and prepare to take my place." She told him as her car moved up to the side of the truck Agent Fowler was driving.

She wasn't too sure why he was the one driving it, she imagined that the military had better people to take such dangerous tasks, also less disposable. But he was also the main contact between the Autobots and their forces, and she could easily see one of his superiors deciding that they wanted their own man in the spot and Agent Fowler not being easily replaceable.

She lowered the window of the car and nodded to her little brother before she slipped out, climbing onto the top and knocking on the truck's door. Agent Fowler looked surprised at her presence and she just waved before gesturing for him to unlock the door. Standing on the top of her car while in armor mode may have surprised the man at first, but he quickly opened and allowed her to slip in.

Ghost could have easily phased in, but she felt like it would have been rude.

"Greetings Agent Fowler."

"You're new." He said while still keeping his eyes on the road. "Didn't know you could be this small."

"I'm Ghost, and not exactly an Autobot." She presented herself.

"Yeah? What are you then?"

"I'm a Metaloid, we're usually human-sized." She happily explained. "Anyways, we're pretty sure this group is the unknown allied with the Decepticons."

"Can't say, they've kept pretty silent so far." He grumbled.

"Let's hope Athena can find some info on them. Question, do we have to keep whatever the doohickey on the back there?" She mused.

"If you can do something with it, sure." The man shrugged, barely turning to look at her.

"Gotcha, be right back." She did a quick gesture with her index and middle finger to her brow and phased back and into the trailer. "Now what do we have here?"

Fastened to the trailer's ground was a large, non-descriptive black box. She could feel practically nothing from it, but she suspected that it would have been pretty silly to carry something active. Though she wouldn't discard stupid superiors just yet, the whole mission wasn't especially smart.

"Athena, think you can make me a copy of something?" She messaged her sibling. "And stick a locator inside."

"I can, but you'll need to store it first. It'll be much faster than you scanning it."

Ghost nodded and started freeing the fastener, loosening the large box so she wouldn't end up storing the whole trailer. It would have been pretty funny, but not the time to show she could do that.

A sudden swerve from the truck nearly sent her and the box tumbling as there were not enough belts holding it. It forced her to pull hard on her Power Core to fix the box in place till the truck stopped moving.

"Well now." She sighed as the box disappeared into her storage a moment later.

"I have received the box, how identical do you want the forgery?"

"No need to force things, just about the same weight." Ghost shrugged and waited before she got the notice of the delivery. She smiled and placed the new box back in place, locking it with the many belts.

Once it was done she happily nodded in gratification before phasing back into the spot by agent Fowler. "It's done." She announced.

The man just tensed. "Done? What do you mean by 'done'?"

"Replaced the box with a fake one. How have things been out here?"

"What? How? I… nevermind, will you hand it back?" She nodded to his question. "Good enough for me, and the rest have been easily taking care of most of them. Though…"

Before the man could continue, one of the purple cars dodged Cliffjumper and got close enough to the connection between the truck and the trailer, the whole side unfolding into an arm to grab onto the truck as one of the masked guys inside climbed over with a power tool.

"God dammit, not again." Agent Fowler cursed and veered aggressively to shake them off, but sadly the hand was gripping the truck's frame too firmly to break contact.

"You know you can let them have it, no?" She mused.

"What? No, I can't. If I let them have it then who knows what they will do with the experimenta…" She grinned as the words died in his mouth. "It's not there." He grinned like her. "Will have to make it look like they got one over us."

"Allow me." She quickly messaged the rest of the Autobots and conveyed the plan. "Everyone's ready."

"Good, let's see if they buy it." He chuckled and swerved a few more times, just enough to nearly make the masked guy fall off. But not enough to stop them from severing the trailer.

The sudden loss of the trailer nearly made them lose control, but Agent Fowler managed to keep them on the road. It also thankfully marked the moment most of their enemies fell back with it.

"I would call this a success." She cheerfully added. "Good driving, Agent Fowler."

He just huffed as the Autobots formed an escort as they kept driving.

\/AFfMB\/

They watched the locator ping on the map, it moved through a mountainous area before it simply disappeared.

"What happened?" Agent Fowler asked.

"I can only see two circumstances, the locator has been destroyed or it has gone through a Landbridge somewhere completely shielded." Her sibling explained.

The only human adult tsked at the news. "Any way you can find where they took it if it's the latter?"

"Sadly I can only keep a metaphorical eye and ear open for next time it appears. But by now I doubt they haven't noticed the lack of their target and the generator."

"Okay… at least we managed to keep the generator away from their hands. Any idea what they were after?" He asked.

"I would like to know too," Optimus mused. "It's not frequently someone decides to ally with the Decepticons, or at least do so for long and survive." He added grimly.

"That I can do," Athena sounded quite proud of themselves. A picture of a man with gray hair appeared on the screen. "This is Leland Bishop, also known as Silas in some circles. I've found a few rumors that he leads a group only known as MECH. Small clues and leads have led me to put an image of a group of tech thieves who had been hitting multiple companies and governments and selling to other groups. Only later hit them too and start again."

"That's worrisome, while the USA has little information about MECH, we've a pretty good idea of their goals; that is to take control of the country and later the world."

Ratchet snorted. "And obviously they think they can profit from helping the Decepticons. They may even have been told they will be left in control of the country afterwards, but the Decepticons wouldn't allow another group as greedy as them."

"That's good, we can leave them to take each other out." Cliffjumper said with a grin and punched his fist into his open palm.

Bumblebee chirped a few times and Raf, the youngest of the teens translated. "Bee's right, given how the Decepticons act and what MECH does, it's more likely that they will make it everyone's problem."

"Overall, I think we can call this a victory for us, Agent Fowler." Optimus Prime announced and Lily couldn't help but feel warm inside at the notion of having helped.

"You're right… and I do still have to write my report." He nodded to everyone in the room. "Optimus, thank you for the help today, I'll be seeing you." The black man turned around and left on the elevator, not that Lily could see it as she was currently on the ground floor near the kids.

She watched them talking, Miko was especially loud as she complained about not having been able to help. In Lily's opinion, they were too damn young to help in any way; they reminded her of the babies in Paris.

And talking about baby siblings, Daisy had been pretty shifty as of late. She hadn't seen them around much, plus something was definitely bothering them because they kept changing how they presented themselves practically each time they came around.

She was pretty sure Aster had looked into it after their return from the barn, but nothing had come up from it. But now their sibling was once again acting weird and going out on their own. She would have to investigate, privacy be damned. But that was later, right now she had other plans.

She walked up to Rose. "Hey sis, can I take your car tonight?"

"For?"

"Got little clue about some street races on the outskirts and I want to give it a try." She explained.

Her sister looked down at her for a few moments. "…ok, just try to not show off too much."

"Please, I'm looking for the thrill of the competition. I don't even want to win, just go toe to toe with someone else. And don't worry, I won't scratch it." She grinned

"That's only because the paint dad used needs battleship ordinance and HE explosives to break, sis."

"Details, details."

Lily didn't jump when Miko popped up next to her. "You're going to the races on the canals outside the city?"

"Yes I am, and how do you know of those? And why do you want to know?" She quickly asked.

"Everyone at the school knows, duh, it's like the cool thing all the older kids with cars do." Miko threw the comment practically offhandedly, making Lily raise an eyebrow. "Also, because Jack made a bet with a bully to race him tonight, and having someone else with him beside Bee would make things safer, and-"

Lily silenced with a finger. "That's more than enough, I'm already going to attend. I've been itching to go fast and race someone, with Bumblebee there I can at least race someone capable of keeping up with me on the way back." She let her lips pull into a grin. "Just allow me to get changed."

"Oh, that's cool, it's not for a few more ho-" Before Miko could finish speaking, Lily activated her personal NN Flesh profile, the biomachines spread out over her body. A healthy tanned skin and clothes that fit her figure shaped on top of her supple and metallic skin. Plus a short pixie cut below what the projectors could reach.

Miko looked at her, especially her chest and hips before looking at her own. Lily may be shorter than the teen, but was definitely a woman. The teen girl just grumbled.

"Guys, Lily's going too!" She sprung back to her peppy self. "Do you still think it's a bad idea, Raf?"

"I still think it's a bad idea, Miko. But there's not much I can do, and having two there will at least make things safer."

"You could always go and tell Ratchet and Optimus, but I'm glad you won't, little buddy." Miko exclaimed and grinned. Lily just rolled her eyes.

She nodded to Rose, the unspoken message of keeping the kid safe was understood. And at least with Bee, she may have some fun after the race, no?

Knockout wasn't completely sure why he was here. On one hand, he knew he was a Decepticon, and when the boss called you answered, or you were quickly slagged. Being one of the only few medics in the faction allowed a bit of leeway as long as he fixed the 'cons his boss ordered fixed.

But on the other hand…

"Something I can't understand, Knockout," Starscream paced around him. "Is why you, a self-respecting Decepticon, would choose an automobile as their vehicle mode… when he could have flight."

"What can I say? I like how the radials look on me." He smirked.

"I see…" Starscream's glare just sharpened. "Now tell me, how's Lord Megatron's condition?"

"Very optimistic. He has woken up a couple of times during the process of fixing his limbs, we haven't started on his torso but… Whatever Dark Energon is, it's keeping his Spark safe and running." He mused softly, hand upon his own chin to rub it thoughtfully. "I would recommend for all our forces to use it, but I've gotten some worrisome readings from his brain module."

"Hmm… would those readings be taken into account when deciding on his capability to lead?" Knockout hid the shiver he felt at the current leader of the Decepticon's tone.

"I couldn't say… sir. My knowledge of brain modules is just enough to know if they are broken. I would say you need someone like Shockwave, or one of those kookoos the humans call psychologists."

"Blegh, I already loathe to have taken those dirty humans' alliance. Having them wandering the ship makes me want to retch." His boss shivered in disgust. "Thankfully the new Spacebridge's almost complete, hopefully we can get some proper back up this time."

Knockout rolled his eyes the moment the con looked away, just before the door opened and his partner Breakdown walked in, his fellow automobile con carried a large box of parts.

"Breakdown, just in time, those are the parts we needed?"

"Yup, I hope the boss doesn't care where they came from." The blue bruiser placed the box on a table.

"Perfect! Now, Starscream if you-"

"It's Lord Starscream." The seeker interrupted him and growled.

"… Lord Starscream, we're going to be working here. I would graciously ask you to leave the room." He injected as much saccharine into the tone as possible.

"… I was leaving anyway, I've very important things to do." The con turned and left, the door closing after he stepped out of the room.

"And don't let the door hit you on the way out." He said and chuckled the moment the door was closed; he knew he wouldn't be heard. "That…Ugh."

"So we're going to work?" Breakdown asked.

"Not really, I just can't concentrate after that slimy 'con was here. Keep yourself busy, maybe buff Lord Megatron a bit. And if he asks, I went out for a part we're missing." He chuckled to himself.

"You're going out for a part?"

"No dumbass, I'm going out to race. No matter what Lord Starscream says." He explained as he left the room, he needed to blow off some steam.

\/AFfMB\/

Lily couldn't help but shiver as she gave the other cars waiting for the race a look while she waited for Jack and Bee to arrive. To reduce the amount of questions, the teen would be getting just in time for the race. On the contrary, she had arrived pretty early and enjoyed the atmosphere; also showed off.

She had given her sis' car her own touch by modifying the camo kibble into a beautiful purple with bright orange lines that made the car appear more boxy, as if it was a low count polygon 3d model right out of a movie like Tron.

She had received some looks given her height, but they hadn't been all bad, and coming with a sweet ride had helped a ton. She had also seen the kid Jack had the feud with, ginger hair and a long fringe that covered half of his face, she hoped it didn't stop him from driving well.

Soon it was passed around that the race was about to start, she got into her car and drove to her position in the group, getting third from the front when they were eight wasn't the worst. But she would definitely be having a harder time.

She chuckled when Bee and Jack got just in time to slip on the front of the line. There was also a red car that had come in late, they hadn't said anything and with their windows tinted she couldn't exactly look inside. The problem was the weird feeling she felt about them, since they were ahead of her, she would easily keep an eye on them.

One of the older kids around started the countdown as a pretty girl got the dangerous role of calling the start by standing between the front two cars, Jack and his problem. The countdown hit zero and they all shoot off.

She enjoyed the shiver as she accelerated and caught up to the other drivers. The speed, the size, the damage, those were her main goals. She had to admit she liked big things that did a lot of damage very fast. She may have to see about starting races with the members of the family that ended liking similar things to her once she returned.

She easily kept up with the three first positions, which turned out to be Jack's feud, Jack and the mysterious red car driver; the other four drivers had long since been left far in the dust. It was a surprise when the red automobile not only rammed against Bee, but also unfolded an energy gun from its side and started to shoot at the scout.

"Athena, I've got a hostile bot in front of me. They're shooting at Bumblebee and Jack." She contacted her sibling.

"Understood, think you need back-up?"

"Not yet, plus I don't want to screw Jack and Bee over. Just in case get my siblings first if the situation escalates." Her sibling gave her an okay as she accelerated and hit the red car from behind. She wondered if it was a MECH's member or a Decepticon that had recognized Bumblebee.

That seemed to surprise the red car as Bee managed to distract the only normal kid in the group as Lily started to harass the driver off the road. She was forced to dodge more than a few shots as the red car had flipped the laser cannons on the sides to shoot at her.

"Come on! You can do better than that." She hadn't even pulled any of the weapons as she hit its back bumper.

She noticed a little message from Jack and Bee and she quickly replied that everything was a'ok. It seemed her constant bumping of the other car had finally eroded whatever patience it was having for her act, and thankfully they had long since moved to a barren area of the Nevada desert.

"Lily, I've found some interesting reports in the Police's files. A red race car has been accused of being guilty of pushing multiple drivers off the road."

"Oh… ain't that interesting." She grinned bloodthirsty.

She allowed the red car to accelerate and do a quick turn to face her just as she hit the brakes. She revved up her engine as a bloodthirsty grin pulled on her lips, there was a temptation to play chicken with the other car. But there was a much larger desire to take things in her hands.

She stepped out of the car, still keeping her human-looks, watching as the other car revved the engine before it shifted, flipping and standing up. She had to admit they had good taste, the design of their vehicle and robot mode were both pretty stylish.

"And who the heck are you?" That voice and tone made her think they were definitely a he.

"You can call me Gnome, what I do have to wonder is who are you?. As far as I know no Decepticon uses anything but flight-capable vehicles, and you're certainly no Autobot." In the empty desert night, there was practically no need to scream even with the distance between them.

"Pft, not all Decepticons use flying vehicles, that's pretty discriminatory of you." His haughty tone made her roll her eyes. "I was surprised to find the yellow scout out and about, getting him totaled would have been pretty useful. I should have expected them to not be alone."

She chuckled. "Looked to me like you were joyriding, trying to get your paint scratched?" He growled at her comment. "I was expecting something more."

"And I was expecting something larger." He laughed and she felt some anger start to bubble. "Really, what are you expecting to do, tiny?" She let a growl escape her lips. "I was expecting another Autobot, and instead I found a midget."

She started to approach the bot. "I see, well… I hope you have a good doctor for the beating this tiny will give you."

"Pff, I'm the Decepticon's doctor, and I can tell you won't do much with your size." He scoffed as she got close enough.

"Ah, then I hope you can heal yourself." She finished walking up to his leg. "You should really have been more worried about this." She put her hand on his calf and her Power Core flooded with energy.

"Really? And what are you going to do? Compared to you I'm a god!"

CRUNCH

Her fingers had dug through the red armor of his leg, the noise cutting through his words. "It's not the size, but how you use it." She was tempted to try the same trick she had used on the Abyssals, but the Cybertronians were just built differently.

The evil ship spirits had a hollow inside, which allowed her to focus her tactile telekinesis and crumple them down as if a massive pressure had come down on them. The 'con was actually quite solid, especially in robot mode.

"What do you think you did with my painting?!" He screamed, but she didn't allow him to do much as easily flung him over her head as if he was made of styrofoam and smacked him on the ground.

He let out a wheeze of surprise before she smacked him again, and again and again. Repeatedly slamming him down on the desert's ground back and forth, rising a large dust cloud.

She couldn't help but chuckle. "How did it go? Ah, yes… puny god." She smacked him again before pulling harder with her Power Core and flung the Decepticon into the distance.

She could have equipped Tower Defense and shoot at the 'con as it flew, but she felt a bit conflicted about killing a doctor, even if it was an enemy one. She hoped the beating had been enough of a lesson and a scar. She messaged the rest that everything was okay before getting back in the car and driving through the 'bridge that opened.

\/AFfMB\/

Breakdown turned when the door opened, his eyes practically bulging out when he saw the state Knockout walked in.

"What happened?" He asked as the other both stumbled dragging one of his feet, the paint job he was so proud of was more scratches than paint.

"… I don't want to talk about it." He grumbled as he reached for the polisher and started to work on himself.

Breakdown just shook his head as he turned to the figure of Megatron a few meters away, the leader of the Decepticons moving a bit. It had been happening more and more lately, he really hoped it was him about to wake up. If the 'con died, his and Knockout's ass would be the first to disappear.

Because she thinks this is all a wonderful game. She's still running on cartoon hero world experience. She's not had to face a combat mission where there are real, lasting, repercussions due to choices during combat.

I.E. She's young and dumb.

I.E. She's young and dumb.

Yup, they are literally months old. The only reason they appear mature is very much a 'fake it till you make it'. She went out to the race just to have fun and didn't change that mentality. Though there's also the fact that Knockout's a doctor and Rick may have inadvertently set a 'don't kill healers' comment in their original AI programming, combined with Lily not really out for blood or in actual danger, ended with just beating him up.

Chapter 89

AFfMB – 89

Starscream didn't comment about Knockout's little trek while he should have been working, apparently having crossed paths with the Autobots and getting a good kick in the ass for it. He could certainly enjoy when his subordinates' transgression gets punished by the same actions they carried.

Starscream hadn't even needed to say anything, just look at the beaten 'con and smirk. And that had been all he had needed to get the man working as he should. It was impressive to see that he hadn't finished polishing his body yet.

"I'll be waking up Lord Megatron now. As the only medical officer on this ship, I would recommend keeping it as short as possible." The red 'con worked on the console before turning to him and Soundwave.

Starscream just smirked and nodded, giving him the go ahead. Knockout shivered before giving Breakdown a nod too, the blue, blocky 'con pulled down an oversized switch.

A loud zap and seeing his indisposed leader's body spasm made a shiver go down his spine, not that it lasted for more than a couple of seconds before Megatron's eyes slowly opened.

"...Starscream? ...Soundwave?"

"Ah, Lord Megatron. Please, don't exert yourself, you're still weak." Starscream didn't grovel at his leader, mainly because the 'con was incapable of hurting him at the moment.

"How… long?"

"Just a week, my lord. Your body's been mostly fixed, but the Dark Energon's been keeping us from finishing the work." He rubbed his hands together and turned to Knockout to glare.

The 'con rolled his eyes before stepping forward. "Greetings Lord Megatron, I'm Knockout, current medical officer in the Nemesis. We've fixed everything we had accessible, what only remains is your spine, this is the reason you can't move at the moment." He swallowed thickly. "The problem is that the Dark Energon keeping your Spark inside your body is keeping us from finishing the work. And until we fix that, you're not moving… my lord."

Even in his diminished state, it was obvious that Megatron hadn't missed a single word. The 'con looked around the room, focusing on Soundwave the least of them all. But Starscream was no fool, and he had caught the minute little twitches on the spy's body, and while the meaning was lost on him, it wasn't on Megatron.

"… I'll guide you then." His condition didn't detract from the finality of his comment.

"I! … I understand sir." Knockout swallowed.

Starscream waited to see if Megatron spoke again, when nothing came he stepped forward. "My Lord, I would like to ask you permission to use your name in calling back our forces."

And then Megatron's full attention was on him, making the seeker swallow dryly. Still, he pushed forward and kept talking.

"We- I've found a stasis containing Skyquake, I know you sent him away for his failures. But the Decepticon should be a boon for our current forces. With the underground Spacebridge almost completed, we need to present a strong front, and-"

A huff coming from his leader made him shut up.

"I will…allow it. Don't betray my trust…Starscream." The growl at the end made his wings shiver.

"Understood, Lord Megatron." He saluted and rushed out of the room, trying to hide how it felt like his Spark was about to pop out of his chassis, and not in a good way.

"...sir?" A Vehicon approached him.

"Yes?!" He glared at the drone, enjoying how it cowed.

"We're finished the Spacebridge."

"Finally, time to see if we can show the Autobots and their pitiful allies what real might is." Starscream allowed himself to laugh. "Tell the drones to turn it on!"

\/AFfMB\/

It was instantly obvious that the shake wasn't a normal earthquake, everything shook as if the whole planet was shaken side to side. In a moment, everyone that was in the base had reunited at the main room.

"What was that?!" Bulkhead sounded as shaken as the planet.

"I've no idea," Ratchet worked frantically on the console. "But it was felt all over the world." He tapped a few more times and live images of damages all over the world. "It was like the world itself shook."

Athena's face appeared on a corner of the screen. "It was the whole world shaking, something disturbed the spatial fabric the planet rests upon." They explained.

Everyone listened to her words, but it was Optimus that spoke first. "Do any of you two have any idea of what could have been responsible?"

Ratchet grumbled. "I would bet it's the Decepticons or MECH, opening a Spacebridge could lead to these effects, but they would have needed to ignore a lot of safety measures."

"It's likely that they rushed on the construction and may have indeed cut corners, the problem is that it caused some kind of reaction with the planet." Athena added. "Unfortunately, this had also scrambled any kind of proper scanning I could carry of the planet's core. Even the surface has been shielded by the 'noise' created."

"Could this have been on purpose?" Arcee asked as everyone hung to each word said.

"No, if the Decepticons were expecting to use this Spacebridge to acquire reinforcements, then they have failed utterly. Right now trying to connect off-planet is nearly suicidal, they could very well end lost in transwarp or simply get Nowhere."

"Will this impair our use of the Landbridge?" Optimus asked.

"Only slightly, with the base having a Landbridge, you are within safe limits. I would still not recommend aiming off-world, and the Spacebridge behind the Moon is just slightly far enough that it could be properly used. Just don't expect it to be anywhere fast in calibrating it for such."

"Any other subject of importance?" Optimus prompted.

Ratchet and Athena shared a quick look before the medic spoke. "With the help of Athena, I've been scanning this planet's information network for clues about the Decepticon's location. While I've not had anything on that, we've had luck finding signs of ancient Cybertronian presence."

The screen lit up with a series of images, most depicting thousands of years old painting, sculptures and engravings. Many of them depicted giant beings with clear similarity to Cybertronians along with some engravings that were lost in the majority of them, except...

"…it can't be." Optimus' tone was wistful.

"I didn't doubt that you would recognize them, Optimus." Ratchet smiled. "It appears this is not the first time Autobots or Decepticons have come to the planet in ages past. While most of these are just subjects of general interest, a few depict artifacts that we thought lost."

"So what's this? A treasure hunt?" Passion asked, curious about the situation.

"I would like you to visit some of these places and run a scan. I want to say that it's impossible some of the artifacts shown here are just laying around… but it's happened before." Ratchet grumbled to himself.

"The other thing is slightly more concerning. While we're sure they haven't used their Spacebridge again, it did activate long enough for something to come through." Athena started. "Multiple things, one definitely came through the proper method, but there were a number of other incursions that my satellites could catch, plus a ship flew in during the peak of the noise."

"And we've no idea of who it could be." Arcee commented by rolling her eyes. "I would bet it's a Decepticon."

Bulkhead snorted. "Yup, at least Wheeljack took one of those deeas systems to keep in touch." The big green bot tsked and mumbled about preferring his friend to hang around for a while.

"So how are we splitting this then?" Rose asked before the subject got too far into a tangent.

Optimus hummed. "I think haste is the current priority, Rose," She nodded. "I want to cover as many of these spots as fast as possible, but sending only one of our forces to each would be opening us for Decepticon attacks. I want an Autobot and a member of the Monsters pairing up."

She nodded. "Sounds good to me, I would guess Ratchet's staying at base?" The leader of the Autobots nodded to her question.

They quickly worked out the pairs, she would be accompanying the Prime to check the dimensional incursion, being the two leaders they were the most capable of making first contact. Meanwhile the other pairs would be Bulkhead and Lily, Cliffjumper and Passion, Arcee and Aster, and Bumblebee and Daisy.

Ratchet activated the Landbridge. "Stay safe, I'll be here working with Athena and the Auxiliary team to search for any other possible leads."

The teams left quickly one by one till only Optimus and Ghost were standing there, even when in her linked-up form, she was still looking to the bot. Not that it bothered her much.

She thanked Ratchet as they left, leaving the Autobot medic practically alone, at least till a moment later Jack and Miko rolled in on his bike.

"Ratchet! What happened earlier? Everything shook!" The teen girl skipped up one of the many structures of the base. "My parents called to see if I was all right."

"Hey Miko, Jack, no Rafael today?" He greeted them. "And we're pretty sure the Decepticons built a new Spacebridge, that caused the shaking."

"Hey Ratchet, and no, he had a hang out with his family and couldn't miss it." Jack parked his bike and wandered up the structures too.

"I see, and yes, everyone left already for different missions." Ratchet quickly explained where they had left.

"Uh…" Miko mused when she saw one of the images. "I think I saw that one before…" She pointed to a Greek painting as she pulled her phone and tapped on it a few times. "Here it is! It's being displayed in the local museum as another stop in its country-wide tour while being lent by Greece."

"…Interesting, I'll have to bring it to Optimus' attention once he comes back. I'm afraid to think about the danger of something like that to be out in the open." Ratchet said worriedly.

"Why? What could be that dangerous?" Jack asked, leaning over the rail.

"The ancients created many artifacts, from very simple tools to weapons of mass destruction. While the Energon Harvester lacks the destructive element of larger ones, in the hands of the Decepticons it could prove incredibly deadly as there's no defense against it." He noted grimly.

\/AFfMB\/

The white and cyan maximal shifted from her bike form into her full robot, glad that her smaller stature compared to Autobots meant she had a much smaller Energon requirement. It didn't mean she hadn't had to sneak around and steal a few cans of gas from the only fuel station she had found on this planet.

It also allowed her to slip through places a full-sized 'bot would just not be able to step through without previously making the necessary space. She slipped into the modest hole on the cliff's wall after looking around to make sure she was alone.

"Rampage?" She called her only companion once she was inside.

"...Trans-Mutate?" A hoarse voice replied a moment later, a broad-shouldered, red and orange robot stepped from the shadows into the small amount of sunlight that slipped into the cave through a hole on the ceiling.

"Yeah, got some fuel." She shook the pair of cans and handed them over, snorting softly when the other robot didn't wait a moment to chug the content before even thanking her.

Not that it bothered her much, he could be such a glutton and this kind of refined fuels was nowhere near as efficient as Energon for them.

"...thanks." He mumbled once he emptied the first can and thankfully placed the other down. "Any idea where we are?"

"I think we're in some kind of Human colony world." She sat down before starting to speak. "Though it's pretty weird, the level of technology is nowhere near close to what I read about them, plus there's a lot of empty space." She was certainly surprised to see so much greenery and more than a few wild animals during her short trip.

Rampage just snorted and shrugged. "Eh, they can do whatever they want."

"I thought you would have more of an opinion, especially after we suddenly ended in the middle of a forest after escaping Lord Imperious Delirious." Trans-Mutate said.

"My opinion on most people is that I don't care, as long as they don't bother me and I've food I'm more than happy to be left alone. Humans won the war long ago, that's why Autobots and Decepticons are mostly stuck in Cybertron, that may have led to the creation of Predacons and Maximals, but that's not exactly their fault, right?"

She nodded slowly. "I didn't take you to have thought about it that far."

"Bah! I've had a lot of time to think about things between the experiments." He leaned back, his heavy body hitting the cave's wall. "Any luck with that thing?"

That thing was the navicomp she had recovered from the prison ship she had been in before it had crashed and she had met Rampage. It had also been the navicomp that had suggested to her to violently put herself in stasis and wait till Autobot forces recovered her comatose body, repeatedly. She was glad that it had been offline since she had used it to help Rampage, but right now she could certainly use the information it may have.

"It should have recharged enough to be turned back on with the sunlight." She picked the pad hanging from her waist and started to fiddle with it. A groan escaped her lips. "Come on, turn on." She didn't whine at the thing.

Rampage just snorted. "Here, let me try. Your agony at failing may be delicious, but I know exactly how to make it work." He yanked it off her delicate hands. "See, technology like this needs one thing to work." He smacked it against the wall once, twice, three times, and then the screen lit up. "Done, and not a scratch on it."

He handed her the pad back, the screen was okay, but a piece of the casing fell off the moment the navicom left his hand. She ignored his comment about the damage being already there. Still, it was working now.

"Prison Ship Claustrum's Prison Pod's Navicom Online." The pad's mechanical voice chirped up, and Trans-Mutate was already reminded of how grating it was. "Internal Battery: 14 percent, warning, this unit currently lacks a method to recharge the battery efficiently. Error, Claustrum ship not found in-system. Error, prisoner appears to still not be in stasis. Error, second prisoner detected. Error, failed to-"

"Enough you little machine! You tire me with your prattle, be useful and tell us where we currently are at least!" Rampage growled at the pad, making it go silent for a few moments.

"…trying to find the current location." She smiled as her companion's course of action worked. "Error, date and location incompatible with previous date and location."

"We're pretty sure we aren't on the same planet anymore," She sighed. "But what do you mean with date?"

"… Navicom's internal date appears to be over six hundred years ahead of the current date found in-system."

This made both of them surprised, at least she showed it more compared to Rampage's more impassive features.

"…So we traveled to the past?" Rampage asked before breaking out in laughter. "Oh! Talk about escaping! Now they are really not catching us!"

She couldn't help but giggle. "You said you know where we are, no? Could you tell us?"

"...Error, Navicom's current location appears to be Humanity's Home Planet, Terra. Location is considered forbidden for any Maximal, Predacon, Autobot and Decepticon, please leave the forbidden area as quickly as possible."

"What?! How can we be in…" The words petered out as Trans-Mutate thought about it. "Though, if we're in the past, maybe it's not that strange to think we're on Earth. It's obvious this is a human planet, and they certainly haven't reached the space age.

"Autobot signal detected in proximity!" The Pad chirped way too cheerfully. "Prime detected, notifying Prime of prisoners' presence."

"What?!" Trans-Mutate's eyes practically popped from their orbits. "No! No, no, no, no notifying the Autobots, even less a Prime!"

Rampage just chuckled. "Let them come, I'll show them to not mess with me." He exclaimed before he grabbed the other fuel can and quickly chugged it. "I got plenty of energy for a good fight." He crushed the can and threw it away. "Coming?" He wandered out of the cave.

"I…" She mumbled as she looked at the pad and sighed, hooking it to her waist and wandering out. She may not like violence, but she wouldn't go down without a fight. "I'm behind you."

"Please, remain in your position, prisoners, Prime's location is only two minutes away. It's recommended to adopt a submission position and accept your fate."

Rampage chuckled. "Fuck fate! If I was bound by fate I would have died ages ago." She was pretty sure he was doing the closest thing to grinning bloodthirsty.

On the other hand, all she could do was swallow dryly and wait for the Prime to come to them. Part of her was already dreading what was to come, the wrong, wrong, wrong carry of justice that had put her in the Claustrum and on the path to spend the rest of her life as a prisoner and without freedom. She wondered if she would at least be brave enough to use her ability again in the fight; it certainly had been effective against Imperious Delirious.

A minute in she started to hear the roar of motors in the distance, and her imagination conjured images of a whole platoon of Autobots ready to lay down their law. But instead what drove out from the forest was only a truck and a car.

She watched both of them shift, a tall male Autobot and an unknown female robot. The latter surprised her quite a bit, they had a very smooth design compared to most robots her size, they also had an unknown insignia she had never seen before, and she had seen a number of them, but given that figures like Imperious Delirious had created their own faction with the Destructocons, it didn't mean much.

The other was the Prime, it was a pretty obvious thing. It was nigh-impossible to miss a Prime, they just carried themselves differently, they had a weight in themselves that everyone could feel. And this was definitely a Prime.

"Greetings, I'm Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots, and my companion is Ghost, team leader of the Monsters from the Celestial Forge. We're studying an inter-dimensional incursion when your computer notified me of your presence." She hated how safe his voice made her feel.

"He-hello, I'm Tans-Mutate from the Maximals, and this is Rampage." She presented herself, and before she could keep speaking, her companion interrupted her. Though she noticed some kind of recognition in Ghost's eyes.

Rampage stepped forward, his gatling gun started to rotate. "I don't care if our existence is illegal or some other Autobot bullshit, if you want to lock us up, I'll be fighting you tooth and claw." He growled and she expected the worst.

"I- What Rampage's saying is that we don't want to fight, if you leave us alone we won't bother anyone!" She stumbled on her words.

"Optimus," Ghost tapped the taller bot's arms before stepping forward. "Could I ask you why you were imprisoned? While I can tell Rampage's pretty violent," she felt like rolling her eyes at the comment, saying her companion was violent was like saying water was wet. "But you don't appear to be the type to break the laws without a reason."

"I… I worked as a historian, and in my time there found a large number of problems in old logs," She felt her mood instantly plummet at those memories, the Prime seemed to react to those words, but she was at a loss at the meaning. "I brought a compilation of these inconsistencies to my superiors. The problem was that they weren't errors, my superiors had put them there themselves. To keep this a secret they branded me a criminal and-"

"That's enough." The Prime cut her off and for a moment she felt like the worst was to come. "It's just that you two come from a different version of Cybertron," Had they not just traveled space and time, but also realities?! "If you didn't know, Cybertron's currently uninhabitable, the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons has destroyed the planet, and without a home we left to the stars. There's only a handful of us left hiding on this planet, while I would like to ask you to come with us, it's obvious my presence is stressful for you too."

Rampage just snorted and mumbled something that he wasn't feeling stressful.

"Optimus, would you allow me to talk with them alone?" Ghost asked.

The Prime nodded. "Okay, Trans-Mutate, Rampage," He gave the pair a nod. "I hope you'll believe me when I say I hope we can meet in peace. Navicom, in the power invested in me as a Prime, I declare these two are no criminals."

"Prime's order confirmed, Tans-Mutate and Rampage's status updated. Have a nice day." The pad's cheerful tone surprised her, but mostly in a good way; at least now it would stop suggesting for her to beat herself into stasis.

Optimus Prime shifted into a truck and rode off as they were left with Ghost. The unknown bot looked at them for a moment, Trans-Mutate was pretty sure they were thinking about how to continue. She wasn't too surprised when she shifted back into a car, it did surprise her when a being only slightly smaller than them walked out.

As the figure walked closer, both Rampage and her looked back and forth from the car to the tiny figure.

"Confused?" They chuckled. "It's still me, Ghost, this is my actual body. First I want to say that I've some idea of who you two are, though it's most likely from an alternate version of you two. To make a very long and complex story short, as you have experienced, alternate worlds are a thing, and some can peer into others. Now don't take this as a threat, but Rampage, you could also be called Protoform X, right?"

Trans-Mutate gasped at that, but mostly because her partner raged and ran forward, punching down at Ghost. Though the latter instead of moving away, just stood there, allowing the fist to go through.

"I see," Ghost continued speaking. "I apologize if I insulted you-" Rampage screamed again and started to punch again and again, his fists going through Ghost as if they weren't there.

"You're a one-percenter?" She asked, trying to hide the hope in her voice, someone else like them.

"That's Cybertronians with powers, no?" Ghost asked, ignoring Rampage's rampage. "Not exactly, first, I'm not Cybertronian. My kind was created from the marriage between Cybertronian physiology, Human Technology and Magic, the last is what gives me the ability to do this. Could you please stop?" She asked him as her companion had started to pant, obviously burned through the little amount of energy from the fuel.

"Rampage?"

"I… haaa… going to-" he fell onto his knees. "Beat you once I recover, haa…"

Ghost rolled her eyes. "Look, it's obvious Autobots aren't the nicest bunch in the Cybertron you lived in. But I can promise Optimus' nothing like that." She snapped her fingers. "Look, how about we give you two some time to think about it, there's Decepticon presence on the planet right now, and they're more likely going to see you as weapons, disposable pawns or subjects of study, and I don't think you two deserve any of the three… Well, maybe this guy will like being a weapon."

Trans-Mutate couldn't help but chuckle when Ghost pointed at Rampage, who was still panting down on a knee.

"Anyways, you two seem to be in a pretty bad shape and completely alone in this world. Now, don't attack me again, this is a gift." She snapped her fingers and a large box appeared next to her. "My sibling was preparing this, you can consider this a care package. Plenty of food, a few computers with stories and movies, camouflaged shelter and a way to contact us safely."

She looked at the box before looking at Rampage, her companion grumbled for a moment before nodding to her. "Okay, we'll take it."

"Great! Also, if you don't want to stay with the Autobots, you can always leave with me and my siblings when we head back home. My dad will happily take you into our large family."

Tans-Mutate wondered what was in this world that made her feel hopeful, she didn't feel capable of speaking calmly and instead she just nodded. This appeared to be enough for Ghost.

"Then I'll leave for now, take care of Trans-Mutate, stay safe and keep this guy from hunting for unnecessary fights. And if he really wants to fight, contact us, I'm sure some of my siblings wouldn't mind some sparring. Rampage, you don't appear to be an idiot, violent? Yes, but not an idiot. Keep her safe, and don't be afraid to ask us for help if necessary." He just grumbled at her words.

She just waited as Ghost walked back to her car, stepped in and rode off. Only then she moved closer to the box, only to be stopped by Rampage with a glare.

"Don't be an idiot!" He pushed up and walked over. "I can take a hit, you don't." He huffed and opened the box. He spent a few moments rummaging through it, pulling smaller boxes and packages. "Nothing smells like explosives." He grumbled more as he pulled a package open and took a big bite of it, chewed on it for a moment before quickly eating the rest hungrily.

"Hey! Leave some for me." She joined him in checking the box' contents.

As they ate their fill with some of the best food they had ever had, she wondered about their warning about the Decepticons. Were they really that terrible?

Megatron got up the throne/medical bed he had been laying for nearly a week after using himself to try and stop a warship's main cannon. It was honestly a proof of his resilience that he had survived in its path for more than a few seconds. He also knew that he would have died if he didn't have Unicron's blessing in the piece of Dark Energon currently wrapped around his Spark.

He took a deep breath and laughed. He had survived; it was only more proof of his correct set of actions.

After cackling he turned to Knockout and Shockwave, the latter having been a surprising addition. He had looked through Starscream's modifications to the Spacebridge, he wanted to laugh more at how unsafe it had become. But he also wanted to laugh more at how it had actually worked and gotten the Decepticon's Science Officer to them. Shockwave had been a helpful addition to his operation; even what made its success possible.

"Lord Megatron, it's good to see you once again standing." Starscream's usual groveling was bothersome, but the seeker had done well in his absence, and he wouldn't allow it to be said he didn't reward good behavior.

"Starscream… you've done pretty well enough." He started speaking. "I've to admit that I wouldn't have allowed those pesky humans in the Nemesis so easily, but I've long since accepted that we do things differently. What are you thinking about doing with them next?"

"Sir… Well, I was hoping to get as much out of them as possible, use them as disposable pawns against the Autobots and the other humans to further our positions. And once that's done… crush them too for thinking they were anywhere near our level." He said with a sadistic tone and a grin on his face.

"Good, maybe you have learned a thing or two under me. You will continue dealing with them for now." The seeker nodded as Megatron turned first to Soundwave, his most loyal soldier stood silent and waiting. He just gave the con a nod, he indeed trusted him to do his best. On the other hand, "Shockwave, it's good to have you back with us."

"Lord Megatron." The cycloptic bot nodded. "It's good to see you back in good health."

"Bah! That was merely a mark of my sturdiness, but that's not important. You've always been one of my most inventive Decepticons, I want to hear what you've been working on… and how it can be used to defeat the Autobots!"

A note about Trans-Mutate and Rampage, because I feel there's a need to point a few things for those that have no idea about the Uprising comics.
This is Beastwars Transmutate
This is Beast Wars Uprising
Similarly, Rampage's different, though less pronounced (Using toys images since I can't find good comic ones)

thank you for another awesome chapter and for writing. you know i am a strange man i find the image of the female bot cute i think i might be a sapiossexual

Just a week, my lord.

And until we fix that, you're not moving… my lord."

the alien robots with the superiority complex wouldn't use earth terms for time or crypto-biology. Replace "week" with "seven planetary cycles" and "Spine" with "main cerebral conductor" or "main Spinal Actuator" You need to use some fancy words

Yeah, I know, the problem is that by the time I realized I should use those terms, I had written way too much. So readers will have to suffer reading things in plain English 99% of the time. (Also, for personal reason I don't have any Japanese character use terms like san, chan, sensei, etc... I honestly don't feel like doing the half-translation most of the times)

Honestly I agree with ignoring Japanese suffixes, it doesn't really add much to a story and I'm pretty sure most authors use them wrong, but at this point Sensei is the Most recent word the English language has stolen, as proven by my favourite quote from my linguistic class,

"English isn't a language, it's three languages in a trench coat pretending to be one"

it goes around mugging its neighbours for new words, and ever since the age of television people have some idea of what Sensei means, just like almost anybody can identify Kung fu as a martial art but would look at you funny if you ask about akido

Oh, completely. It just reads weird for me, so I decided to try and keep things as English as much as possible (Though I do mix shit up from time to time if I'm not paying attention, though it's usually a Cybertronian using femme instead of woman and bot instead of man, I blame a few fics I tried reading to get an idea of how other people write Transformers).

I may try to do it with the Cybertronian terms if I write a Transformers story again. But by now I already invested into writing everything in English and just go with it.

Chapter 90

AFfMB – 90

Miko grumbled as she sat head hanging down, legs up on the couch, watching as Bumblebee and Raf played a racing game on the tv.

Jack rolled his eyes as he sat by her side. "You can't still be angry, it's been two days already."

She huffed. "Of course I'm angry! They went out without us! Bee, you should have told them to wait for us!" The yellow scout rolled his eyes and beeped at her.

"He says we shouldn't be in the field during missions." Raf translated.

"Betrayed!" She wailed theatrically. "Bulkhead, why didn't you wait for me before going to the mission?"

The bulky, green bot snorted. "Bee's right, Miko. You guys shouldn't be in the field, I won't deny you three have managed some impressive things in the past and certainly helped. But you should leave it to us, we've been doing this for a long time."

She just huffed before laying limp on the couch once more. A soft grumble escaped her lips as her eyes caught sight of one of the crew members of the Celestial Triumph wandering out of the base.

Miko's attention was caught, and that was enough to have her switch interests immediately. She flipped over and grabbed Jack's shoulder, violently shaking her friend's body. "Jack! She's sneaking around! Let's follow her!"

"Miko, leave them alone, they are just going out. Not everything is like in the movies." Jack said with a grumble, really trying to think of a way to distract his friend before she got them into trouble, again.

That had barely stopped the teen from marching through the Spacebridge when she found that every Autobot besides Ratchet had been out on different missions. It rankled him a bit too, only learning after that Arcee had been in a pretty rough spot when meeting a 'con from her past. From what he had later learned, Airachnid was a complete sadist and had taken great pleasure in torturing his friend psychologically.

He wondered if he could have been there for her during the mission, just like Aster had done during the events. So he had been there for her after, and made up his mind to ask Optimus or one of the members of the Celestial Triumph if they knew a way he could help.

Sadly he didn't make it in time, and Miko was already dragging him up the couch and coaxing Raf and Bee to come along. Jack knew this couldn't end well, and honestly not wanting to get another talking from Optimus after the race, he sent the Autobot a quick message. Part of him hated how he had to be the mature one as Raf's a bit of a weak noodle against Miko's energy in his opinion.

It didn't take more than a minute or two for the three of them to be riding inside Bumblebee as they head out of the base through one of the hidden exits. Jack was already worrying about their future as Bee soon found the trails going way off road.

"I wonder what she's hiding?" Miko started with one of her long tirades. "Maybe she's going to betray us all with the Decepticons… or maybe she wants to take over the Earth herself… or maybe she's looking to destroy the whole planet herself! Or maybe-"

"Or maybe she just likes to spend time alone?" Raf asked. "I certainly know that feeling." The kid said with a shrug.

That made Miko stop and think. "...no, she's definitely hiding something."Her comment made the boys roll their eyes, even Bee in his car mode flicked his lights in a similar gesture.

Their drive took them around some of the rocky formations and down into a small, dry valley between two mesas. Bumblebee stopped and had the three teens step out before transforming, in the distance they could hear some noise echoing in the valley.

It was weird, maybe it was the uneven rocky surfaces, the soft ground, or just the weather, but it sounded like someone playing with a pet, strange growls and something bouncing.

The teen girl couldn't help but grin and hunch over, waving to the others to follow her as she started to sneak in the direction of the noise. Which was kinda silly as Bee may have been a scout during the Cybertronian war, but sneaking was a bit harder when you were over five meters tall and bright yellow in the middle of an orange desert.

Still, it seemed Daisy wasn't exactly paying much attention to the area, so the four of them had managed to sneak close enough to see what was happening. Bee practically hugged the ground as the three teens peered over a rock to see the member of the Monster team waving and screaming.

"What is she doing…?" Miko mumbled when two strange figures came running in the Metaloid's direction.

Both creatures were as tall as a pony and as long as one of the gators she had seen at the zoo. Their bodies were completely black, made of some kind of lustrous metal and used some stark white, vestigial limbs to pounce around as they went after a metal ball.

Miko's brain is definitely having a bit of a hard time making sense of what she's seeing. There is a pair of monstrous beings and Daisy's playing with them like they were a pair of puppies.

"Siren, Charybdis, come here girls." Daisy called the pair as she made a pair of large bowls appear in front of her. Miko had to climb up the rock to look at it better, but it appeared they were filled with a dark, viscous liquid.

Of course the small teen's definitely not in any way balanced as she leans over the uneven stone. All it takes is some dust under the palm to make her slip and careen forward. Thankfully Jack's quick enough to catch the back of her belt before she hit the rocky ground face first, but not before she screamed loud enough to give away their position.

Even before she could pull herself up, those two growling monsters got to be centimeters away from her face. She could see how lustrous their teeth were, and by the smell that hit her face, that substance dripping was definitely oil. Words got stuck in her throat, it felt like her heart's trying to escape out of her mouth, with its deafening drum beating between her ears.

"Siren! Charybdis! Come back here, now!" Miko mentally thanked the voice as the two beasts pulled away. "What are you four doing here?"

"Erm…" She mumbled as Bee's large hand gently picked her up from her half-hanging position and helped her stand up properly. "...surprise?"

Daisy simply turned to Jack, who unceremoniously shrugged. "She saw you leaving the base and it was safer to follow her than to wander the desert alone." He admitted, Miko quickly turned back to him, going from betrayed at getting thrown under the bus, to angry at the same thing.

"Jack?! My pal, my good friend, what part of stalking someone you don't understand? You don't tell them you're stalking them!" She grumbled as Bee waved and beeped.

"Oh! These guys?" Daisy's tone softened as she placed her hands on the two black and white monsters. "These are Siren and Charybdis, they are…"

Jack was pretty sure Miko's ability to find interesting things was no different from a shark detecting blood in the water. Because the teen had frozen and turned around to look at Daisy the moment the Metaloid had lost her words.

"They are what?" She grinned. "You were totally hiding them, no?"

"...crap." Jack was surprised by the curse, though he was also surprised by the Spacebridge that opened a few meters away. He only had to think a moment before turning to Bee, the Autobot made a little gesture to indicate he had called to check.

It surprised him to see Rose and Athena walk out, the two of them looking more than a bit angry at Daisy, who was definitely trying to hide the two oversized puppy-acting monsters behind her.

"Daisy 'Dopel' Andes." Rose called her out, and Jack was a bit surprised to hear they actually had surnames. "I can't believe you, you know what they are!"

"I can't understand what you were thinking." Athena continued speaking. "How and why do you have them here?"

"I saw a pair of eggs and…" It was weird to see her mumbling and kicking the ground. "I believed that it wouldn't hurt, plus I wanted something to differentiate myself a bit from everyone."

"Er…excuse me, but what's the problem?" Jack decided to butt in. "Besides…" He gestured to the twin monsters, he just didn't feel like calling them monsters was polite.

Rose sighed, putting her hand over her eyes for a moment. "These two are what is known as Abyssal in a World we visited on our way here, they were also practically at war with all humanity." She explained. "How exactly did you sneak them on board?"

"I… do you remember when you found me surrounded?" Rose nodded, realization visibly dawning on her face. "I had found the two eggs inside an empty building, not that I knew they were eggs at first, I thought they were some kind of technology dad may be interested in looking into…" She quickly explained how she had taken them and shortly after had been surrounded by more Abyssals attacking her, things had gotten pretty messy in the battle and afterwards, but she had managed to slip them back to the ship and into her room.

"Shouldn't we have known that happened?" Rose asked Athena, her sibling just sighing.

Jack felt like he was intruding, but in the corner of his eye saw that Miko had lost all fear from the monsters and was treating them just as a pair of oversized puppies, Raf and Bee looking from a bit farther away.

"Dad set the security systems to not observe inside private quarters unless there's an emergency or the person inside allows it. I didn't think there was a need to force the issue as in normal circumstances some privacy is required." She… they…He wasn't sure of Athena's gender and their tone kept making him doubt his understanding. They explained.

"It's okay, I promise I'll look over them. And I'm sure dad will allow me to keep them as long as I take care of them." Daisy pleaded.

The two leaders of the Celestial Triumph sighed in unison, and Jack was impressed by how similar they could act. It was Athena who spoke first.

"Okay, but I'll be producing a pair of collars for them, they will both be equipped with locators so we know they haven't caused any problems." Daisy nodded happily at that. Athena started to speak, but suddenly went silent. A moment later a large smile beaming on their face. "Father's probe just returned!"

Rose couldn't hide the smile on her face. "We'll talk more about this later, Daisy, especially since we'll be messaging dad about this." The owner of the two friendly monsters pouted again.

Daisy finally nodded as all of them stepped through the Spacebridge once more, even the two Abyssal beasts. Once they were through, Miko looked around.

"… wait, we're not at the Autobot base." She observed. "We're on your ship?! Sweet!" And then ran away.

Jack sighed, thanking Raf for patting his back in solidarity. The older teen turned to Athena. "Is there any danger for her?"

"Not really, the worst she can do is trip… or try to eat our food at the cafeteria." Athena hummed for a moment deep in thought. "I've locked her out of the Cafeteria, and here." They extended their hand and two cubes appeared. "This is a DIA system, just grab them and think about owning them, they've plenty of uses, but should guide you inside the ship. I've to look over my father's messages now, I'll message you or send one of my siblings for you."

Raf and Jack exchanged a look before grabbing the cubes and following the instructions, the floating screen that appeared floating in front of his eyes surprised him. But the process wasn't too different from his last phone, and a couple of minutes later they were after Miko's trail.

Raf was very impressed by the interior of the spaceship, it was nothing compared to the Decepticon's ship. That one appeared right out of one of the horror movies he had seen with his older siblings, dark metal everywhere, sharp angles and a dangerous atmosphere practically everywhere; it made him wonder if the Decepticons liked the place being so dark for some specific reason.

On the other hand, the Celestial Triumph was open, well lighted and mostly designed with smooth curves. The soft white, light gray and golden accents made the place feel clean and comfortable. It was also huge, and if they hadn't found that there were this floating discs they could ride by standing on they would have been walking for minutes to get anywhere, though it appeared that Miko had found them too, even without a DIA system.

He couldn't help but chuckle each time he thought about the system's name, but mostly was surprised by all it could do. It had recognized his laptop and computer and copied everything he had on them, adapting it to the system and giving him full access to it. It was even more impressive when he had neither of them on his person when it happened.

"WeeeeeEEEEEeeeee…" Raf sighed as Miko flew past them on one of the floating discs, apparently having the time of her life.

He could almost feel Jack's pain, but Raf was the youngest of a very numerous family. Miko's current antics were practically a breath of fresh air for him, after all she was a single teen, and not four going in completely different directions. So he just chuckled and turned to follow her as she disappeared through one of the doors on the hallway, the DIA system helpfully marked it as the greenhouse.

They found Miko frozen just past the door, and he understood why. The young teen certainly didn't expect to find so much greenery inside a spaceship.

"Oh wow, look at some of these." Miko once again went ahead of them, approaching one of the many trees bearing fruit, snatching a big red apple and trying to bite into it.

Trying because the moment her teeth hit the apple's skin, a hard, crystal sound reached their ears. As if someone had hit a rock on hard glass.

"Ouch!" The girl pulled the apple away and looked at it like it had betrayed her. "This is as tough as a rock!"

Raf looked at the apple and the DIA system quickly started to bring information. "That's because it's not for human consumption," He noted as the girl turned to look at him, expecting more of an explanation. "Those are Ruby apples, the skin's literally a gemstone, the inside isn't any more edible for us either. Apparently it's some kind of plastic-like foam with an oily substance soaked in. It's not recommended for anything that can't at least chew rocks."

Miko's eyebrow rose. "And how do you know that?" She glared.

Jack sighed. "Ease it, Miko. Athena gave us a couple of those systems the crew handed to the Autobots. They're pretty cool and give us a lot of information from stuff on the ship, and I'm sure they will give you one too if you come back and ask for one, nicely."

The girl finally gave up and followed, Raf marked one win for Jack at managing to get her to do something he asked. Of course it was still several losses given that Miko had practically guided their actions during the last hour or so. The three of them soon wandered back to where the crew were working, Miko got her system and then all of them headed to the Autobot base together.

Apparently their leader had sent a message for the Autobots, Raf wanted to see it.

It had been a couple of days since I had carried the ritual, and Gaia was still sleeping.

I would be worried more, if she hadn't literally grown a blanket of moss and wrapped herself with it, grumbling in a mix of languages for about five more minutes. She, because the body wasn't as neutral anymore, had also been growing larger and larger. From the original meter seventy I had created the doll, she was now about over twice as tall, and very curvy.

Since she had finally stopped growing and changing, I had decided it was time to wake her up. I didn't expect things to go wrong, but…

"Are you sure we've to be here?" Sabbah prompted. Dani, by her side, looked down at the sleeping giant.

"Remember our talk about me doing stupid things? And how I promised to keep you updated on it? This is that, the idea is slightly stupid, but it has to be done. And since you two thought it should be done, you're here to keep me from trying something stupid if it doesn't work." I shrugged as she nodded in response to my questions.

"Gotta make sure this jerk doesn't get into one of his moods." Dani teased me. "Plus I want to meet the planet."

I nodded and brought the little tool I had crafted for this, this alarm clock just looked normal. But it had been crafted with the sheer concept of waking up. When used it would end any kind of sleep, magical, mundane, forced, permanent, etc… if someone was in any way asleep in the five meters area, they would wake up.

"Let's do it then." I gave the clock a couple of twists, set the timer for five seconds and placed it just a meter away from the sleeping figure's head. Then I retreated to a safe distance just in case. "…3 …2 … 1…"

RIIIIIIIIIIII-CRUNCH

I was glad that it was a disposable little invention from the get-go, watching it get crushed so easily would have hurt more otherwise, I had also noted that it had been put through about 380 gigapascals, about the pressure at the center of the Earth. That was nearly four million times the normal atmospheric pressure.

The figure groaned loudly before she slowly started to unwrap herself from her moss cocoon. First came a stretch of her arms, followed by a yawn, a few dazed blinks and only then she focused on us.

She rubbed her face, a thin layer of clay flaking off and revealing a much smoother surface under it as she easily stood up on the pool of water she had been sleeping in, her hand fixing the blanket of moss as a one piece dress wrapped around her figure. She then smiled and all I could feel coming from her could be described as pure motherly love.

"Thank you." Her voice reverberated through us, making my soul feel warm and loved.

"Welcome to proper consciousness." I said lightly in jest. "Was it so comfortable?"

She laughed softly, and it felt poetic to say it sounded like a light rain on glass. "Yes, hmm… let me look at you three." She stepped closer, her hands were larger than my head but her touch was as delicate as a feather's touch as she easily manhandled us three, not that any of us fought it. "Oh my, my, you're definitely one of my children, but you chose two that aren't." She turned to Dani and then Sabbah. "It's so strange, I can't call you my children, but I think I can call you my nieces."

"That's a bit weird." Dani admitted, her tone sheepish as if she didn't want to hurt the planetary avatar's feelings.

She laughed softly. "You can always ignore this old woman, but believe me that you will always be welcome here."

I smiled. "Two things: first, what should we call you? And second, how're you feeling? I've been trying to fix things, but I'm not sure how well I've been doing."

"Hmm…thinking about it, I think you call me Tara. It seems to resonate at the moment. And you've been doing wonderfully!" She laughed warmly and pulled us three into a hug. None of us were capable of escaping her gravity, and with her size she could easily hug the three of us like dolls.

On the corner of my eye, I noticed that Sabbah was leaning her head on Tara's shoulder and doing her best to hug her back.

Once we were freed, Dani excused herself. Not just because I think Tara spooked her a bit, which was in part hilarious, but also because apparently Danny had sent her a message. Sabbah, on the contrary, seemed to be more than happy to hang around as we talked shop about the planet's issues.

She seemed a bit peeved that I had the climate control system in place, making me think that she may steal Poseidon and Ammaterasu for herself; meaning I may need to ask the pair to work closer with Tara from now on. And also I would need to ask her if she needs more 'helpers' in a similar manner.

It would be the first time I may end up breaking one of the teams more permanently and rearranging things.

As we talked, I slowly started to notice a few things about Tara, besides her channeling humanity's mommy issues/fetish. First was that she had a slightly different access to my Khala network, she connected to both the sentient minds and the plants. But she also connected to the network involving my largest projects, which at the moment was her, the Moon, Mars and the Inverted Hollow Planetoid. Obviously the three of them weren't thinking, yet.

Another thing I noticed was that she wasn't as idle as she appeared while talking with me. I'm not sure she noticed the little ticks here and there, at first I thought she was just experimenting with her new body and the overlay she adopted to interact with us. But Asos and Anansi had quickly found a correlation between the ticks and little things all over the world.

An avalanche in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado USA had redirected a river to make sure a drought further down was corrected, without causing a drought in its original path. A storm cell shifted direction, in the next few hours the winds would move a few hundred tons of organic material from wetlands of Uganda to the arid regions of Sudan, slowly fixing the desertification with new life. A series of underwater volcanoes to the East of New Zealand would change the water currents just enough to decrease the amount of hot water heading South and incredibly reduce the forecasted temperature increase of the poles by a whole degree.

All this led to a very important fact, I was talking to only a very tiny bit of the planet. I hadn't woken up the planet and stuck her mind into this small body. I feel silly to not have noticed before, this was barely a tiny bit of her, the tip of her pinkie playing finger puppet. It still allowed her to adopt a new point of view, see things from another person's shoes. Even when she was obviously pulling information from the World's history, unconsciousness, Akasha, or whatever it could be called.

Soon Tara yawned. "I think that's enough for today, we can continue tomorrow… or next week."

I rolled my eyes. "No problem, you gave me a lot to take care of. And hopefully if I've to leave, you can take care of little problems."

"Ho ho ho, as long as they allow me to sleep enough." She shifted back into the pool she used as a bed and shooed us away.

I happily allowed her to go back to sleep, I was after all asking her to push her perception through a needle's eye, it was bound to be tiring.

Once we had walked away Sabbah allowed herself to speak. "I… once you two got talking…" She mumbled as she scooted closer and hugged my arm, I looked at her inquisitively. "I don't think I understood what you two were talking about, it was like you were communicating in some way that the earrings didn't cover." She tapped the communication accessory. "Also you ignited that crown of fire of yours during the talks."

I felt a chill go down my spine, I had definitely missed that. "Oh… I," I licked my lips. "Something I did notice during our talks was that Tara's not human, she acted that way during the start of our talks. But the mind behind her actions is definitely something else." I reached to rub my chin, trying to not get distracted by the sensation of the amount of facial hair that I was growing. "The closest thing I can think of was when the Kwami got serious as I was crafting their new Miraculous."

I had willingly pushed my Spark quite a bit during that event, talking with Tikki about their creation had definitely covered subjects and concepts that 'mundane' were not. So now that I was further along my maturation, it wasn't strange to think I had had a conversation with a mind that may as well remember since the Earth could be considered a planet.

"I'll have to look more into it, but for now, Tara has given me plenty to take care of." I quickly kissed my little Shadow as we wandered away from the center of the island. That was when a message from Dani pinged in.
