A mini-quest inspired by tabletop pen & paper games. Expect short voting times and even shorter chapters.

This is an experiment of sorts inspired by pen & paper games.
In short, instead of long voting periods and chapters with thousands of words, this quest will only allow voting for around 10-15 minutes, and I will in turn do my best to put out (very short) chapters at a similar speed. This, of course, requires very active player participation, so I will put the date up for vote.
If this is successful (and not too stressful for me), I intend to continue with further A Day of ... quests in the future.
Generally all votes will be approval based, i.e., vote for as many options as you want.

The story will, for the most part, play out on the imaginary, small, and privately owned Scottish island Sauthey, which may or may not be based on the real island Foula.
Some further hints regarding the plot can be found in the rest of this post/thread.
Character creation will use plan votes (though, again, approval style). This will be the only such vote in this quest, since the format is far too slow once things are running.

- [X] A thin, young man with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a slight stubble on his chin and dresses practical, but not fully unfashionable.
- [X] Stephan is a German student of linguistics and came to Scotland both due to this, and because of his interest in mythology. When a local he befriended asks if he wants to come to a summer solstice celebration on Sauthey, he accepts.
- [X] Strengths: Speaks several languages; general knowledge of linguistics; knowledge of mythology; some survival skills; drawing; gets along well with most people
- [X] Weaknesses: Little skill with technology; when interested something, doesn't know when to stop; overly daring at times
[X][Character] Sarika Chaatre
- [X] A short but fit woman, with long black hair, usually worn as a braid reaching the small of her back. Tends to wear colourful clothes.
- [X] Sarika works as an accountant in a town in northern England, and spends most of her free time birdwatching, often with friends. While usually travelling in groups, she went to Scotland alone this summer, and plans to visit Sauthey for a few days because of the rare birds that can be sighted there.
- [X] Strengths: Good with numbers; knows a lot about biology, especially regarding birds; liked by most animals; careful; cheerfulness that's hard to quench; often puts the well-being of others before her own

- [X] Seong-Min has rather short, black hair, and brown eyes that border on black. Usually wears expensive and somewhat eccentric clothes.
- [X] Coming from a rich house and just having finished studying computer engineering, Seong-Min decided to travel the world for a year. When in Scotland during the summer, a family friend and business partner offers his private yacht for a trip to the Shetland Isles, which Seong-Min gladly accepts.
- [X] Strengths: Rich; has useful contacts; knowledge of computer and electrical engineering; good at negotiations; sense of fashion (though eccentric by choice); generous
