The following are the top forty eligible nominees, sorted by number of nominees and tie-broken by nomination order:
With some of the nominees getting only one nomination each, this is a somewhat lower turnout than I had hoped for, but on the other hand, it's a very clear demonstration that the world's made by the people who show up, I guess!
I will be contacting them to collect their statements for the next phase of the election process. The extra four are alternates in the event one of the top thirty-six nominees decides at this point not to proceed. In the event I need to proceed further down the list I will, but I hope not.
