[X] Let Tala try and trick or sweet-talk them into leaving, letting you pick the nuts at your leisure.

The way I'm feeling this, Vashti would try to avoid violence (because violence is disturbing, she has rarely dealt it herself, and she is still shaken by the death of a strange and twisted spirit), and after her talk with Tala she would want to rely on the friend with whom she just bonded - likely too heavily, likely expecting too much of one who is just a girl in the monastery who talks to an imaginary parrot - and this is likely to fail. And failure will lead to the necessity of violence.

But this, in itself, is a valuable if sour lesson. Or so I think, anyway.

It won't be a good lesson for Tala though.
OTOH, if we show them the Karogen-toting monk, they will know to look for entrance here.

Tala having a Heart-to-Heart with Vashti but they're Eagles

Please place the blame on this entirely on the QM, thanks.

uh

I like how you realized that the outfits weren't that complicated like halfway through drawing but decided to commit to the eagles anyways

I mean disappear as a euphemism for killing them.

Oh okay. If need be they'll attack them, but Vashti isn't the kind of person who will just outright attack some soldiers and start a fight like that.

Godei would probably like, fucking drop down on them from the trees, curse one to have his eyes turned inside out and blind him, cut the other's head off with a flaming sword, then send the last two into his zurah realm whereupon his marionettes will make their blood the ink of his canvas.

But Vashti is not Godei and does not have his innate propensity towards absolute violence or enough confidence in it to just outright start killing people.

Does trying to frighten the soldiers involve pretending to be, say, a hostile spirit, or would it be blatant and obvious?

[X] Try to avoid the soldiers entirely, evading a risky situation but also making your search for nuts longer and harder.

Vashti will figure it out, generally for most soldiers the very sight of a vicar's uniform is cause for alarm, because vicars are seen as great and terrible witches.

@Cetashwayo can I make a write in? I want to ask to speak to their leader. Because Vashti is brash and bold and imperious but she also is willing to sacrifice herself so that her family doesn't suffer.

I missed this before, the answer is no, because there is a high likelihood the soldiers will just kill her if she demands to see the Melik, or the melik will put her to death or lock her away and just keep going. And because Vashti still has a fear of death.

If they notice us period, it's kind of over in a few ways.
