I assume that we are either dead or as good as, and Mrs. Gray is currently existing as a wraith. Honestly, this quest feels an awful lot like the short story Don't Call it Glory, which is the main reason why I think she is dead.

I can tell you with certainty that our character isn't dead

also seconding the request for link

(I'm in the chat where this quest was proposed, I know things)

Could you shoot me a link to that short story. A quick google search is revealing nothing.
Don't Call it Glory is part of an anthology titled The Great War, so, unfortunately, no I don't have a link to it. Maybe you can find an e-book online, or perhaps your city's library has it.

Edit: It (the short story) is also written by Marcus Sedgwick, if that's any help.

Okay, didn't know, I'll probably be able to check the local library shortly

Even if Gray wins as the name, I'm still going to refer to the wraith as Elizabeth.

Making a lot of assumptions now are we?

Don't exactly know what to say to the first comment..and "Gray" is a fine enough name on it's own. It feels like you are sidelining it a bit.

Gray feels more like a surname than a female name to me. Didn't stop that girl from the EMCF from getting named that however.
It IS a completely valid name for a female though.

Tie Breaker! And while I love the image of Grey from Fairytail in my head...

[x] Elizabeth Gray

I also really love the sound of this name~

Gonna close the votes with that, now that the tie is broken.

Unfortunately, some poor soul decided to tie it up again:

also funny thing but the spelling of Gray is different in both votes.

Going full surname thing is a little ehh..

............................
What?I like Elizabeth, I like Grey, I don't mind have more than one option for a name, we could be Eliza, Beth,Lizzy, Grey, Rey, and Elizabeth.

Sorry..? I don't see how it's rude though.
hyperbole. rather than "very" it was "a little" . it could be misconstrued for the ones that changed vote before. then the newest voter set the tie again.

Call her Lady Grey, or something, I've known people who prefer to be referred to by their surnames.
Doesnt that "Lady" imply status Im not sure we qualify for yet?

And. in the current situation the full on name might be a little...hmm Im not sure how to word it? the character feels like having an actual surname is not too on point with the situation yet?
