[X] A Whisper in your ear.
"Are you okay?"
A woman's voice, tearful concern, eyes with colours you cannot name, out of place in this world, but her robes are white, pristine and spattered with blood.

A hand reaches for you, then flinches back.
The voice distorts, becomes incomprehensible, fades and fades and fades until it is gone.
She is gone.
You are gone.
Running out of sensation...
[X] Fall and Rise.
You step forwards and gravity takes you, grips you as you join the rain in its endless descent. The pieces of cityscape whip by.

That you cannot bring yourself to panic as you fall towards that piece of city is more frightening than the fall itself. Something tells you that this is the sort of fall that nothing survives.
It hurts.
It hurts, and hurts, and hurts as you slam into the ground and roll, but at the same time, it hurts.
[] [Fall] It hurts because you're still here.
[] [Fall] It hurts because you're finally leaving.
[] [Fall] It hurts because you cannot remember.
[] [Fall] It hurts because you cannot forget.
You slowly pull yourself to your feet, and look back.
Away and far below, where you have been hangs in space.
Away and above, you can no longer see past the sheeting rain.
It is cold again, and you welcome sensation.
The rain falls...
A grey figure stands before the gate, a statue without a pedestal, a guardian, a monster.
[] [The Way] A barrel chest festooned with medals, a chubby face with beady eyes.
[] [The Way] Gangly arms and shaking hands, young and frightened and clutching his sword.
[] [The Way] Sturdy legs and watchful gaze, a snow-capped mountain.
