Who brainwashed the crowd into doing this again?
Who brainwashed the crowd into doing this again?
It wasn't me! I'm innocent, I swear! (this time) It was a reference to Warhammer 40k
I think it's not really something Yui would ask for and that we're only pushing for it for mechanical benefits over actually dealing with any particular problems at hand.
Most people would jump on this chance just to do better in school. Lets them study more.
This is a really good basis for arguing Yui's personal reasons for not sleeping and well as a stance on why she's already gonna screw herself if it's meguca v. normality. However, I would argue against this in that Yui hasn't backed this kind of idea up. She's committed herself, so far, to her homework, to paying attention in school, and to her normal friends whenever she can.
Also, what if they notice that she's not in her bed, but outside doing who-knows-what? Yui's parents give her a lot of freedom, but her being outside the house during night when you thought she was inside just screams shady and suspect business.
Of course they probably won't check, but better safe than sorry. Family emergencies or other such late night stuff requiring Yui could end with them stepping into an empty bedroom.
When Yui first met Maiko, she'd gone over a week without sleep and hadn't even realised it. Her body looked tired, but she was still operating at a pretty high capacity.
Maiko is actually kind of a special case, because symptoms of fatigue and malnutrition are imposed on her by her wish magic when her MP gets too low. "Zero" is actually just the cutoff point for the penalties, and when you met her, she'd let her MP dip below 0 without realizing it.
... And Maiko is holding a lot of key positions right now as well as being the groups ace in the hole.
We definitely need to put keeping an eye on Maiko somewhere on the agenda, she doesn't do well taking care of herself and she's somewhat critical.
We're already setting her up with Kaoru, Yui's brother. She needs a waifu to take care of her needs
Yui: "Onii-chan, I need you to be a wife for someone..."

...Oh. So, we should move the unconfirmed magical girls to tomorrow (possibly after school?), while we MinamiNet Rio&Co in the morning about the grief seeds.
But Kaoru's busy with college or whatever. We need a local waifu.
Nooo, my transhumanistic dreams! Whatever, I still want to listen to the exposition.Word of QM: All other issues aside, learning to go without sleep isn't something Yui can do quickly or easily, and there's really not much she can do to work toward that tonight, so don't get hung up on that point.
Regardless of whether we should do it, I am a sucker for exposition.Nooo, my transhumanistic dreams! Whatever, I still want to listen to the exposition.
Also, hi! I binged this quest in two days, and am waiting for the next update to start voting here. どうぞよろしくお願いします
Regarding the social media girls, oops. It was assumed that we have their names and therefore their addresses. Could Minami find out their addresses?
Oh, okay then. Good enough. She can get their actual name and address, but not without her notes and an internet connection.
Yes, yes, to a degree, not as far as we know. Can Yui power level? Learning power? Training montage? Power copying?
Nah, I don't think it works like that. It's a one-way process. If you break a dependency on bodily functions, why would you return to a less efficient system? If you don't need sleep, why would you lay in the bed for several hours? It's better to have the ability and not use it than to not have it and need it.
I don't get this at all. Is this a personal opinion, or is it a narrative opinion? Like, is this something you'd say about your own life, or is this only an opinion you hold for certain characters?I, too, disapprove of breaking our sleeping habits. It is something that should only be used in an emergency, and I am pretty sure we would be able to pull a couple of sleepless nights in a pinch as could any mundane human (and since the need is purely psychological, we won't suffer any health aftereffects).

Sleeping, eating, breathing and probably a few other things could be substituted with some magic expenditure, but I don't think those are something we need to get rid of. I'd rather not get any closer to viewing our body as a meat puppet. Even the idea of shutting down our nerves so we could pull a Terminator does not sit entirely too well with me.
