Yes I imagine Isshin will do his best to get involved in SS like WSIA if he can. Ichigo alone going to SS, Isshin could accept, but both Ichigo and his 13 year old daughter? Yeah if Isshin can manage to get his powers back in time I can totally see him going with them.

I just had a thought.

I wonder if we're actually inside our real body.

After all, our body was literally a corpse, and a mangled one at that.

I'm thinking we may actually be in a gigai that Urahara made to look like us.

Is Rukia using a regular gigai or the special "lower spiritual power" gigai?

[X] Call Goat dad. Demand he leave Ichigo to run the clinic and drive his ass out to help.

This has already been vetoed, but I stand by it anyways.

The thing about Gigai is that they are trackable, except for Urahara's special one turns you into a human gigai. So, if we aren't losing power (maybe the kurosaki growth curve is just so big that the gigai can only slow Karin's growth?), then we're likely serving as the "cover" for Rukia, since according to Soul Society's tracking there is only one gigai in use in town.

I would lean towards us being in a gigai, what with it being somewhat difficult/uncomfortable to get in and out of Karin's "body". And Urahara would have an easier time getting away with it given that Karin did fudge the details with Ichigo in that she didn't actually tell him she died getting her powers. (I still expect fireworks to go off eventually with that)

[X] Phone Ichigo to get him to come to the Hollows' location in his human body, Rukia will come with you to assist against the Hollows.

Operation make-our-brother-look-lame is go!

Sounds like a plan.

Yeah, there was some discussion about that which started two pages ago. There's some good evidence of it. For one thing the 'Broken Chain' from this bit

Groggy and hurting, you sit up, a clanking sound echoing as you do so. Ah…that's your body over there, covered in blood. You look down. A broken chain protrudes from your chest. Cold spreads over your body as you realise what has happened.

Is usually a sign that the soul can't go back to the body.

[X] Send Rukia to the Kurosaki household to pick up Ichigo, then have them come to assist you, you'll hold off the Hollows yourself.

So... I like where this is going, and we need to talk Ichigo into learning the name of his Zanpakuto. Hell, maybe he'll be able to manifest two - Zangetsu and Sode no Shirayuki together could be fun. And that would derail a lot of things.

I'm pretty sure that couldn't happen unless Rukia somehow managed to give Ichigo a chunk of her soul.

Some time during this upcoming fight, e.g. when we release Nejibana (which I can't help but think we *really should do* against two Hollows) and notice he hasn't released his own sword yet, Karin should definitely call him out for holding back.

Eh, Ichigo will get enough shounen training and Powerpoint Ups that I don't see the need to intervene in his development.

I can see Karin argue against the method Ichigo uses to awaken his own shinigami powers. Isshin would as well if he's getting more involved. It would be pretty damn funny if Isshin and Karin went to rescue Rukia without Ichigo. Ichigo will likely show up in SS at a crucial moment anyway.

"Are you sure you remembered everything, Ichigo?" Isshin asked.
"I turned off the oven, locked the doors and the garage"
"And..?"
"... No, I think that's it"
"What about Yuzu?"
"..."
"And what do you think you should do?"
"... I'll be right back!"
"Idiot. The apple does not fall that far from the tree after all, eh?" Karin said.

Eeeeh, Karin doesn't know that, though. And I doubt HatnClogs has actually told her it's unusual to have achieved Shikai so fast, so from her perspective he's holding back for no apparent reason.

Once she realizes he doesn't know it, though, surely her response would be to try to help him? She doesn't want her big brother to be in danger, after all, which means he needs to be strong enough to fight.

Yeah, I could definitely see this as well. Tho hopefully we can avoid the part where Ichigo gets double-shanked by Bya-chan, and thus avoid the need for the Shaft of Despair.

Personally, I hope Karin (And maybe Yuzu as well) got something from White as well. That way they're all Shinigami-Hollow-Quincie hybrids in their own way

Speaking of which, given Karin's increased importance, hopefully Yuzu'll get something as well.

He did not really need it before going to SS, though. He managed to beat quite a lot of hollows without shikai after all, and Karin takes what Kisuke said about not carelessly using shikai seriously. So she might not use it while fighting besides Ichigo anyway.

But yeah, if Ichigo struggles, Karin will likely try to help.

This needs to happen while they're in the middle of facing off with somebody.

Byakuya: "We're in the middle of a fight, you can't just-"
Isshin: "Hey! Middle of a family meeting! Shut-it!"
Byakuya: [blinks owlishly in stunned silence.]

If shinigami powers are inherited, then that would make ichigo legally a shinigami by birth. Ishin, his father and a former captain, could stop the execution merely by proving he is ichigos father.
Its illegal to share powers with a mere mortal. Technically ichigo isn't a mere mortal, but a shinigami and secretly part quincy.

Although proving his heritage could
