[X] Barragan Luisenbarn, the deposed king, who wants you to investigate rumors concerning a lost item.

Barragan is the safest of the three, because his thing is ruling over other people, and ruling over other people doesn't work if he kills everybody he rules over who obeys him.

Honestly I just don't consider any option worth possibly pissing off Barragan to be worth it. Either we prove ourselves useful and he has future tasks for us, thus putting us sorta under his protection, we prove our-self for this take and he then dismisses us like the worm we are, or we fail and he kills us.

High-risk and High-reward. Then again failing any of the Espada at this point is practically a death sentence so *shrug*.

What would you like, my king?

Your curtains, you stole from the human world in one of your rare ventures out.

Just bursting with ideas. Anyone up to task of detailing our Lady Nemo's stint as a two bit thief? A novel concept, scaring humans instead of eating them.

Uh. You know that Barragan once decided to split his armies in two and have them fight each other to the death because he was bored, right? Working for him ain't any safer than for the other two.

You don't have to worry too much about making one of the Espadas angry by snubbing their orders at this stage. Esmeralda has an excuse for you and, more importantly, at this stage you don't register enough for them to hold a grudge that specific. It'll be "some henchwoman was sent on an errand before we could summon her to us," not "Nemo Elcorbuzier spurned us, and for this she must die!"

Perks of not being noteworthy.

Tier Harribel or Coyote Starrk would likely not kill us for failing, as long as we could offer up a good reason...shame we don't have job offers from them.
Starrk spends his days lying about and his reaction to learning there are intruders in the walls and other Espadas are being killed right now is a shrug, a wistful look, and a "whatchagonnado." It's hard justifying him sending anyone on any kind of errand :V

But at least he won't eat us for our powers (Probably) and won't Science! us into some kind of experiment.

True...I get the feeling if he sent us on an errand it would be a snack run or something...and my point still stands that we would not be punished, mostly because it's too much work for him.

Harribel would make more sense, and be the clear best choice if she was available...alas, we seem to be stuck with members of the asshole brigade (which granted is like 80% of Arrancar).

The thing about Barragan though is that he doesn't make a habit of it. Aaoneiro's lifestyle consists of devouring anything useful like he just did to his fraccion, and Szayel is both the local Kurotsuchi and the man that makes his own servants easy snacks.

Barragan is by no means a good choice. He's completely unforgiving and has little regard for the limits of his subordinates, but at least he (generally) isn't actively malign to them.

I mean, let's look at our list here.

10: Yammy canonically kills a medic in a single punch after she's done sewing his arm back on, just to test his strength. He has no moral compunctions whatsoever and don't care if you're useful.
9: Arroniero has been covered.
8: Granz has been covered.
7: Zammori... Doesn't have enough character to really get a proper analysis.
6: Grimmjow has a very tight-knit pack of Fraccion he knows from way back, doesn't care about anyone else, and occasionally murders people out of spite.
5: Nnoitra is a diiiiiiick
4: Ulquiorra is probably safe by virtue of sheer not giving a fuck about you. Or much of anything, really. The man is depression poured into a person-shaped container.
3: Harribel is fine!
2: Barragan has been covered.
1: Starrk's most important mission to run is getting him snacks, and he has Lylinette to browbeat into doing it for him.

Why did you even join these people, Nemo?!

[x]Barragan Luisenbarn, the deposed king, who wants you to investigate rumors concerning a lost item.

He is a jerk, but a mostly sane jerk, and likely interested in seeing his servants rise in power.

Nemo: "Hey, back in the days when i joined Dordonni was managing grunt missions. He was really pretty decent at it, didn't send anyone on suicide missions or anything. A shame he got kicked off the Espada. Their powers got stronger, but their personalities weaker."
Nemo: their now a superpowered boy band excluding number 3

The King Of All Hollows would surely want even his least room-sweeper to be mighty, right? He could proobably boss someone into helping us 'git gud'. A little tempted to vote for Granz just because even twisting us with Science would be a powerboost...but we'd probably no longer resemble a character with agency, so eh.

Harribel best Espada, we neeed to somehow make Shark Senpai notice us. She's already got a girlband theme going anyways with her Fraccion.

And now between them, Esmerelda, and Loly/Menoly, I have a sudden urge for this to turn into some sort of EldritchBefriending quest (in the Nanoha sense). Going out and trying to recruit new hollow friends by tormenting Pluses or something, or mothdust mind control?

I get the feeling her current band is a bit clingy and wouldn't like us a lot, best to go for shark he barely does anything.

I kinda don't want to be a Fraccion. Flying underneath everyone's radar for as long as possible should be our goal. If we get notable, we'll never have time for the good things in life, like redecorating our bedroom with stolen Soul Society/Living World stuff or founding the Arrancar Women's Association.

I do like the idea of being somebody that stays out of the big leagues just because we have other things we'd rather do, but I'll totally try pushing for the personal/contracted assassin position if a chance opens up.

[X]Szayelaporro Granz, the mad scientist, who wants you to find a deserter with stolen scientific data.

Mad Scientist = Mad Upgrades.

Training, though artificial Arrancars can also get power by eating, just like they could when they were regular Hollows. It's one of the ways they're better than natural Arrancars.

Source? Near heard anything about artificial arrancars being able to eat for power. They should be the same as natural Arrancars.

Never saw any of the Espada (besides #10) eating other Hollows.
