Unprecedented Times [A Pokemon Ranger Quest]

[X][Spice] You add a bit of spice
Forgot the party vote,
[X][Party] Go dancing
Music and drinking are a time-honoured pair, like the sun and the moon. Go make a happy fool of yourself and work up a sweat listening to music older than you as filtered through a boombox that sounds like it's about to die.

[X][Party] Lift some stones
There's a contest, they say, in hushed whispers, over who can pick up the biggest stone on the beach. You will prove to them two things, on this day: your ability to find large rocks independent of adult supervision, and your capacity to lift big things to show off.

I think both of these would be very fun to do

This feels like the most obvious choice.

Too much spice you say? You'll show them too much spice! You'll show them all!

You won't add as much spice as you personally want, because your mom has a point that you might like spice more than the average person, but this recipe is sorely lacking in a little extra punch. Surely, adding some extra won't hurt, right?

Because sitting next to a friend that's just barely managing the heat and then drenching your bowl in hot sauce is always funny.

[X][Party] Hang out by the fire

the seminar was fascinating, and a very useful refresher of a region I'd not played through in recent years. I could hear about how specific pokemon have adapted to their environmental circumstances for hours I swear

Kylie is an outlier. Adding "some" spice may get some...interesting reactions and perhaps someone going "finally, something with some kick!" but adaer's right. Kylie probably adding a ton of spice to her own share would be funnier.

Show them why you rule at horseshoes Kylie!

And then get your friends to meet your other friends.

Didn't pick it, but lift some stones feels like Kylie would end up finding a rock pokemon or something in the dark lol

fire and hucking big rocks, what else do people need to be entertained?

Spice for Kylie and a (Kylie-sized) pinch more heat for others to test against without dying.

New people to befriend? New people to befriend.

The nerdy jock shall lift.

I love my spice, I shocked my Mother with how much more spice I can take than her considering my Dad can get watery eyes from the smell of heavy spices. But its a Potluck, you go for a general appeal with those if you don't know everyone involved and their tolerances.

That being said, if Kylie does add more, or go heavy on it, I DO hope she puts a small warning placard at the very least after her Mother's warning.

[x][Party] Hang out by the fire
[x][Party] Build some sandcastles

As for the party, the fire and swapping stories with people sounds very fun. What I think will also be fun is the sandcastle building, though this is mainly because I think Kylie could very easily convince Urchin to get into the spirit of it, and I would love to see what Oxford writes for that if this scenario does play out. Queen of the Sandcastle Palace, Urchin! XD

By the way, ox, I just want to say that the seminar was fucking fascinating. It really reads like it's being spoken by a person who knows what the hell they're talking about, and I'm pretty sure if I had been there for it I would have been on the edge of my seat

Just a lil bit. :p

Socializing is always interesting in this quest and I wanna see Urchin help with the sand castles.

Glad to see some Frisbee character stuff. Excited to see how he adapts to being a partner Pokemon. Also I love how Glow and BB have this hang-out truce thing going on.

It was super well done, but I personally think the Criminal Teams one would have been more interesting.

I would feel bad if some people don't get to enjoy the potluck because its too spicy.

Also, big stones and sand castles! Maybe even sand castles with big stones! I mean sand is just small stones, so if we use slightly bigger stones then we can build the best sandcastle!
