Jerry would be our bodyguard who wants to die for us but has become the best at being beaten to near death, either by tasting our poisoned food, testing the safety of the tower by activating the traps or being our shield when we are attacked, the poor guy is always at death's door, that's why we know he is so loyal that he has what we have but with the reduced size, we have a giant throne, Jerry has a small one next to it, we have a big bed, Jerry has a small pet bed next to ours, we have the strongest steed, Jerry goes with us on the cutest pony, we have the great hero breaker sword, Jerry has the hero apprentice killer dagger, we have the pipe made of dragon skull, Jerry has a lizard blood flavored lollipop. I don't know how the minion colors work but this is an idea of a minion in case it helps you better now
I explained the minion types in the narrative intro but the main things are. Browns are tough fighters, Reds are immune to fire and can throw fireballs. Greens can turn invisible while standing still and are immune to poison. (Reds and Greens can absorb their specific element). Blues are immune to magic, can turn invisible while moving, can swim, and can revive minions whose bodies are intact. Downside is they are very physically weak. Plus side they can kill ghosts which other minion types cannot harm.

Forgot to mention all minion types will loot equipment from defeated enemies or just from running around an area breaking and looting stuff to become stronger. Meaning the Overlord doesn't necessarily need to bother spending resources to equip them himself if there are enemies nearby with sufficient equipment they can steal

An elven archmage who is gothic or emo is obsessed with gothic culture, and the Shyish and Ulgu winds are the ones whose favorite themes are shadows, death and souls.

She's learned all the winds, but her favorites are those two.

I'm not the biggest expert on the winds of magic is it normal for someone to be able to learn all the winds?

elves learn all the winds and archmages fuse them into high magic. Humans can do the same, but it's nearly impossible, which is why they only specialize in one wind. Humans are more likely to mutate, and when they make mistakes in spells, they receive an elemental mark that causes their soul to reject the other winds. It's as if by receiving an elemental mark you lose all your senses except one. This is how elves feel about what the magic schools do.

High Magic

(Qhaysh) Consists of the entire spectrum of magic, and when used is further refined into a more advanced form. High Magic, when "refracted" into the separate colours, are essentially specialised forms and seem to influence somewhat the magician in question. High Elf mages quickly grasp the main eight lores, but it takes decades, or even centuries, to master magic in its purest form in High Magic.

Arcane Marks

"There is a fine line between the arcane marks left on the Magisters and the corruptions that manifest in the mind and flesh of witches and warlocks. For Magisters, the arcane marks are inevitable, by-products of working with the Winds of Magic. But, for those who dabble in Dark Magic, the...

Thank you for that information

Am glad that while we hold potential for being an edgelord, being a viable character is preferable.

Edit:
[X] Plan: dark lord rise

It's a start.

Well...this is interesting. Especially given comedy of stuff. We could appear in Dark Lands for quality basalt material and possibly help Dwarfs there...and corrupt them. Depends how people wamt to play this Overlord, Destructive or Dominating.

Indeed I wanted to design it so people could pick traits that lean towards either path. You could befriend the dwarves and potentially receive gromril equipment as thanks. Alternatively ransack one of their keeps and steal the knowledge. Along with maybe several barrels of beer and maybe even a kettle

Before I can start writing a plan, I'd like to know what's the condition of rooms that are automatically included, or if they don't cost any points.

Aside from the planning room which is locked in the wrecked condition (to encourage people to fix up other rooms before adding new ones) any of the automatic rooms will be in the same condition unless you decide to put points into them.

Aight, I think everything looks good. I made this plan with the idea of going back to basics with an experienced Overlord. Will say though, not good with character descriptions and names, but I like how this is looking right now

I am curious what kind of soul essence Overlord could get from orcs, goblins, beastman and other creatures. I imagine getting brown soul essence from orcs, green essence from goblins and spiders, beastmen...depending on the type really, like brown from basic type, blue from brayshamans, green from harpies. And then there is soul essence from given god followers... or maybe he would gain something unique especially if he is interested in making new types of Minions.

I think you mean life force and yeah those sound right. iirc in Overlord 2 the human enemies of the Glorious Empire dropped life force based on what kind of weapons they carried so similar logic here. I do want to equate that life force does not equal souls at least for this particular narrative

Oh yeah, Life Force, I forget the name and I guess I went with close equilivant of that. My bad, but what about marks of chaos, arcane marks and winds of magic? How would they respond to Overlord's Gauntlet? And you double quoted me.

Sorry still new to the site. Well my friend watcheye456 has been assisting me with the greater parts of Warhammer fantasy lore and we have come up with what the equivalent winds of magic would be for the Overlord's spells. As for the winds and the gauntlet. The Overlord gets his spells from the artifacts in his tower which he's connected to so he's got an advantage over some spell casters when he's in an area where the winds flow erratically (not an expert so I apologize if the winds of magic don't actually do that) as for slaying creatures with arcane marks or marks of chaos I can certainly see that affecting the type of life force they drop

The big question in that arrangment is if Arcane Marks can affect Tower Heart. They should not, but can be made to.
Assuming we get someone capable and trusted to attempt modyfications.

Hell we probably could crate Familiar of bound elementals to improve things... If we learn how to do either of those.

Hmmmm...I imagine getting something like Essence of Blood, Essence of Rot, Essence of Change and Essence of Excess which can augument some Minions, like if Brown Minion get Essence of Blood, he would gain much more strength and height, but he would gain bloodlust so if Overlord is not ready, he could loose control over that Minion...and Essence of Blood together with Blue Minion...it would turn Blue Minion into blood stain.
