[X] Teach your Pokemon TMs and HMs - You did recover a very large stash of TMs and HMs recently. Teaching your Pokemon would be worthwhile.
[X] Buy Items - Now that you've earned eight badges, you should start looking into buying items for your Pokemon.
[X] Explore New Stances - A few ideas have been coming to you in terms of positioning and reacting in battle. Try and explore them.
[X] Bring Magnezone to the Next Level - Magnezone is nearing a breakthrough in terms of elemental attacks. You just need to give them a little push …
[X] Bring Dragonite to the Next Level - Dragonite learned a good bit in his battle with Willow. You just need to give him a push to bring him to the next level.

I'd like to continue to focus on our own development for once. We've done enough for Willow for now and should instead look to our own dreams.

[X] See the Sights Outside the City - With Diglett Cave nearby, it could be fun to spend a few days exploring the cave system and see what interesting locations and Pokemon are within.
[X] Look for Trouble - Some of the news stories make you feel a little whimsical. See if you can find any problems in Saffron itself.

[X] Attend Willow's Battle - Willow is doing some last-minute training this week before she faces Sabrina. Considering this will be her one chance to attend the Indigo Plateau, it'd be nice of you to attend the battle.

Let's see Willow put the theory into practice

[X] Call Tetsuya - Currently on Cinnabar Island, Tetsuya is getting rather frantic in his search for the gym. So far he's searched the entirety of the island besides the volcano and is searching that out of desperation. He'd really appreciate some advice on mountaineering.

We can buy items later?

That's always the excuse but now we're only a few weeks from our first run of the Indigo Plateau and we still have no held items, we're down close to a dozen TM moves, we have multiple pivotal training actions and we're still voting to not focus on our own training. We've offered plenty of help to Willow and Tetsuya throughout the quest so far, and we've spent most of our time exploring or seeking out trouble so for once let's actually knuckle down on our journey.

Alright, I'll be calling the vote here. Looks like TMs and HMs wins for sure. As for the other, it's a tie between Looking for Trouble and Attend Willow's Battle.

1) Looking for Trouble
2) Attend Willow's Battle
3) Explore New Stances

Uh, Daemon the Exploring New Stances action also has the same number of votes as those.

Kanto Week 48 Part 1 - News and New Moves New
[X] Teach your Pokemon TMs and HMs - You did recover a very large stash of TMs and HMs recently. Teaching your Pokemon would be worthwhile.
[X] Look for Trouble - Some of the news stories make you feel a little whimsical. See if you can find any problems in Saffron itself.

Walking around Saffron City with the purpose of starting a fight with a criminal organization had not been on Violet's to-do list when she first started her journey. She certainly didn't look the part of a seasoned trainer with eight badges, which was a part of why she pinned the badges to her shirt and then put a jacket on top of them. Instead, most Rockets would give her a glance, see a socially anxious wallflower, then look away. So far she hadn't found any suspicious activity, but she was admittedly focused on other aspects of her training.

Today that focus was on categorizing the large stash of TMs and HMs Willow and her had recovered from Team Rocket's underwater base. It was a dull, repetitive task. And one that didn't take up much brain power. Nonetheless, it was important for her to go through them and pick out the most valuable ones.

Every now and then she'd take a short break from the task to check the news in the hopes of finding something to do on her way to the Indigo Plateau. She started by reading up on the border clashes between Kanto and Johto which had escalated significantly due to the actions of Lieutenant Surge. This in turn had forced Champion Lance to arrive who is now attempting to de-escalate matters.

In regards to the brownouts in Celadon, the authorities still had no clue as to the identity of the vandals but did claim they were sure it wasn't a plot by Team Rocket. There was also an article praising Giovanni for managing to build on Lieutenant Surge's work in Pewter, successfully recovering a dizzying array of Pokemon fossils from Team Rocket. Other articles were also present, but none that really stuck out to her.

Local news was, however, helpful for her search for interesting and unusual activity in Saffron. There were several notices of warning for trainers in the area northeast of Saffron, around where the various Eevolutions were located. A poaching ring was attempting to set themselves up in the area which had in turn drawn the ire of the Eevolutions and Pokemon Rangers. Violet hummed to herself as she realized where to head next.

Besides that, there were a few odd reports coming out of the Pokemon Dojo who had apparently been failing audits repeatedly. A few trainers even claimed that they often sabotaged Sabrina's efforts, although this has been strongly denied by the Psychic Gym Leader.

Turning away from the news, Violet returned to her chosen task for the next few days. Choosing what TMs to teach her Pokemon. After which she'd be heading northeast to start handling the poachers.

Due to the number of TMs available, Violet can teach a total of 6 moves to her Pokemon. I'm using this website for the list of learnable moves for each Pokemon.

In addition, there are several moves that I have okayed for Pokemon to learn that aren't on the list.

Dragonite: Reflect, Roar, Haze
Forretress: Toxic
Blissey: Safeguard
Magnezone: Reflect
Umbreon: Work Up

[] Battlefield Control and Uniqueness - Reflect, Roar, Haze, Toxic, Safeguard, and Work Up
[] Future Core Moves - Focus Blast, Pain Split, Seismic Toss, Volt Switch, Wish, Will-O-Wisp
[] Alternate Core Moves - Roost, Ice Spinner, Snatch, Rest, Sleep Talk, Teleport
[] Write-in Moves to Learn

[X] Sir LagsAlot

6 Moves for 6 Pokémon isn't a lot (shouldn't we need to specify who learns what) so I guess we need to go sell the rest of the TMs/HMs for more? Since we still need our cash stockpile for items and all.

After spending a few days ensuring her Pokemon learned their new TM moves, Violet traveled to the forested mountains northwest of Saffron City in search of the poachers. It was nice to be in the area once more, and Umbreon also seemed to enjoy it. She had initially thought her search for the poachers would take her to the territory claimed by the Eevolutions. However, instead, she found herself drifting further into the wilderness where wilder Pokemon lay.

At least, that was what she had initially thought. Instead, her search had yielded little—scuff marks on the bark of a tree where a rope had been tied, a broken twig, the snapped end still oozing sap. Then there were dozens of traps all of them well-made and designed to capture all sorts of Pokemon. By now Violet was used to disarming them, her fingers working with practiced precision to make the forest safer.

But by now, it seemed that there weren't any Pokemon around. The ones present had either been captured or had fled the area. Violet frowned momentarily before turning to ask Umbreon about his thoughts. "Are they after Pokemon? Or just the area?"

The Moonlight Pokemon spent a few moments in deep contemplation before indicating that it was likely the former. While the Pokemon this deep in the forest could be stronger or have a few exotic subspecies, that wasn't worth the investment needed. Instead, the poachers likely had a more expansive and complex goal. Her current thought was that someone was setting up the facilities to prepare for an attack on Umbreon's family, but she couldn't be certain.

She spent the next two days searching for a sign of human travel before finding a few strands of synthetic fiber caught on a thorny brush. From there she remembered the seminar held by Agatha a few weeks ago and began to slowly track where this person had gone. Eventually, she found herself at a clearing. Crouching down, Violet traced a finger through the dirt, noticing the signs that something heavy had landed here before.

A helicopter of some sort…

The 49th Week, Pick 2

Expert Trainer Actions
[] Explore New Stances - A few ideas have been coming to you in terms of positioning and reacting in battle. Try and explore them.
[] Create Prepared Battleplans - Tetsuya's impromptu stunts were unreliable but powerful. But with more experience under your belt, who knows what is possible?
[] Enter a Pokemon Contest - Both Dragonite and Blissey would enjoy a Pokemon Contest. It'd also help them develop their more unique attributes. At the cost of your nerves.
[] Teach Umbreon how to Command a Pokemon Battle - Umbreon's tactical skills surpass most trainers. Improving those skills via practical experience in commanding battles would do wonders.
[] Bring Magnezone to the Next Level - Magnezone is nearing a breakthrough in terms of elemental attacks. You just need to give them a little push …
[] Bring Dragonite to the Next Level - Dragonite learned a good bit in his battle with Willow. You just need to give him a push to bring him to the next level.
[] Train Combination Moves - You've seen videos of incredible combinations, trying to plan some out would be useful for team battles.

Pokemon Actions
[] Spend time with your Pokemon - It's been a while since you simply enjoyed the company of your Pokemon. It'd be good to spend time with them outside of battle or training.
[] Train with your Pokemon - While it may be early, you did just have a rather interesting battle with Willow that your Pokemon could learn from.
[] Teach your Pokemon TMs and HMs - You did recover a very large stash of TMs and HMs recently. While you have thought them a few moves, there's more for them to learn.
[] Buy Items - Now that you've earned eight badges, you should start looking into buying items for your Pokemon.
[-] Train with Willow- While it would be nontraditional to train with your rival, both of you have unique skill sets that could complement each other. She's currently busy celebrating.

Battling Actions

[] Challenge an Experienced Trainer - There are at least a few experienced trainers around here that may be worth fighting.
[] Seek out a Powerful Trainer - There are several trainers who can likely make the Indigo Plateau. It may be worthwhile to try and face them.
[] Challenge the Dojo - An unofficial gym with skilled Fighting Type Pokemon, you may benefit from challenging the leader within.
[] Challenge Sabrina - You could try and challenge Sabrina to a full six-on-six duel with the team she plans to use at the Indigo Plateau. It … may be too much for you, however.

Exploration Actions

[] See the Sights Inside the City - Several interesting attractions in Saffron City would be worth exploring, even if you've already done so.
[] See the Sights Outside the City - With Diglett Cave nearby, it could be fun to spend a few days exploring the cave system and see what interesting locations and Pokemon are within.
[] Look for Trouble Part 2 - Now that you have determined where the poachers are arriving from, you just have to spend a few days and wait for them to return.

Traveling Actions (Will be taken either this week or next week)

[] Leave Saffron City - While Willow plans to spend the week in Saffron City, you could head out now if you wish.

Social Actions (For socials, it's assumed you keep up a basic level of contact through text, choosing a social means I write it up)

[] Call Your Parents - Your parents appreciated your visit and would like to continue talking with you.
[] Call Tetsuya - Having just defeated the Cinnabar Island Gym with two days to spare, Tetsuya is euphoric and is currently celebrating with his Pokemon. It may be good to call him.
[] Hang out with Willow - Willow just managed to defeat Sabrina in a 6 vs 3 battle and earn her 8th badge. She's currently planning on spending a few days to celebrate which may be fun to join in on.

We only have four weeks or six/seven actions until the Indigo League depending on how many actions travelling takes up so I'd very much like to take our training seriously for once.
