It is very hard to draw me away from mecha-knight machine tamer, but the Egophage stuff is extremely cool and I am addicted to stealth builds.
[X] Warweave. Pull your hair into a tight and intricate spiral weave which focuses the power of your null field to disrupt electronic attacks. +1 INFOWAR (so long as Warweave is active).
I want Infowar real hard.
[X] Petriform Gas. It starts as a coughing, a wheezing, released from the warhead of a shell. Then the crystals embed themselves in lungs, in the bloodstream, in the muscles. Within hours, the growths emerge on your skin. Within days, the crystal is merging and clustering, eating the victim alive. Within weeks, the infection reaches their soul. There is no cure.
I mean yes. This is the scary one. This is what changed the maps!!

"Hey there, babe," Lovergirl murmurs in your ear, as you stiffen, the smell of her unfamiliar perfume distracting, "you want to do your duty for gnosis? Me and Bee could use an honest hylic soul on our side. I promise it'll write off some of the accrued debt of your original sin."
Their monadic method, they explain, is culture-jamming. They overwhelm propriety and good sense, and expose individual reactions to their breaching of taboos.
"In formal cultures like the Progeny and Titanagalbat," Mulberry elaborates as you walk with her through the Sophian bay, "everyone is trained to conform. But they are less trained to react to such massive breach in etiquette that they their own conditioning is overwhelmed."
"Like say, kissing a stranger," you remark, frowning at the memory of their introduction.
Mulberry smiles, and then gives you a peck on the cheek, the outline of her lips underneath her face-veil against your skin. "Exactly so, little self. The truth of their person is revealed, and the lie exposed. A serpent or a dream-shape in a host tend to react too much or too little, to such taboos. They function, after all, as skin-walkers, and unless truly fearsome, have trouble perfectly mimicking their victims."
On the second day, they switch clothing and even switch personalities - Lovergirl turns sweet, and Mulberry aggressive, Lovergirl wears a skirt, and Mulberry pants. They know so much of each other that it's as effortless as swapping faces, and the copse is unprepared.
SUNRISE PARABELLUM (Drive): There is a fire inside you that will not die. A beast they cannot put down. It is a fire that burns for sisterhood, a fire that burns to build a happy world. A fire of want, and a fire of hate. A fire for the future. A martyr's lover's fire. A fire that supercharges yourINCANDESCENCE, and demands that you shine as radiant as if you were a Fifth Sun. Attribute effect: +2 +3 INCANDESCENCE, -1 COGITATION.
"I'm glad," she says, and then punches you in the shoulder, "You were a bitch. An absolute asshole." And then she turns her face away and crosses her arms. "But you were also my sister. Thanks for making this bearable sometimes, even if you also made it worse other times."
"No idea. But I always thought…" She reaches a hand up, to the sky, where the stars should be, their light scattered and obscured by the planetary shield. "I thought if I could be friends with a rotting knife-ear, then maybe we all might be able to unite one day. We could bridge the distance, and reach out to stars, not afraid or greedy, but excited for discovery, like the way the old explorers were, before the fall. And if I joined Skywatch, I could prove it myself. A Kora-self captain with a crew from the whole world."
She turns back to you. "There is more to know. And there is more to see. And I want to be there. I want to breach the sky, and touch the stars."
And then your elder sister takes your hands in hers. "And maybe one day you'll be there too, beside me."
You put her forehead against yours, her third eye, and your nail, touching. "I'd like that."
this whole dream of hers and its insane origin is kind of amazing and a fascinating twist on the usual tone of 40K, in a way that promises interesting times
Due to quick action of two veteran monks by the name of Miss Lovergirl and Miss Mulberry, a truce is negotiated and Titan's partisans are exiled from Origen.
This is sweet and tragic, and the Red Sun has still yet to dawn.

Irontamer sounds cool. Warweave provides increase defense against electronic attacks. I'm also concerned about stacking too much Rhythms if we get the plug hair. It combined with Irontamer boosts the skill up to 6, so that is useful for listening to the machines, it means we might start hearing it too much. I don't remember what the cap for skills is, so I'm not sure if 6 is really high or only halfway to the cap. Feral Machines is a cool mirror of what we're doing as an Irontamer. It's like fighting a dark reflection of ourselves. Our strength lies in our ties to machines. It's doubling down on our sensitive soul.
Plus I want to see what type of fucked up feral machines Cetash comes up with. I'm a sucker for bonding with a mechanical war beast that we can barely control, but comes to trust us.... mostly trusts us, doesn't want to eat us.
This continues to be absolutely incredible. There's not enough words I could write to convey it without becoming long winded and tedious, so I'll say that it continues to be great. There were a few things, among many, that stood out to me. Firstly- BDH!? That's Harry Du Bois initials backwards! We're Him! We're literally Him! That's us! Something Something Harmony! We need to get sad and sing some karaoke no!
Melancholy's dream with the eldar was really touching. It's also very funny, man says he wished he had more friends, she offers to be his friend, and immediately blows it off. I can see why she dreams about xenos so much. She knows they're out there, probably. It's a fitting sort of final regret for the eldar.
This sisterhood of love sure is filled with a lot of abuse. This is multiple layers of fucked up, honestly. It's great writing. I hate nearly all of them.
Also "started drawing triangles!" is so funny. I love that platonically perfect shapes are a major threat here to psykers.
Edit: Also Irontamer is also 100% a fucking Lancer Pegasus. You can't convince me otherwise We must ride it into battle shiny and chrome. I need to castigate the enemies of gnosis.

Cap for skills is 10. Note that it tends to be better to have high skills than not. However, having high skills does have side-effects. This is not a "golden mean" system so much as "minmaxing has psychological consequences". If you think those consequences would be interesting, I encourage you pursue them!

And what is it that Koinon deploys against the Cordial that terrified you the most, and left mental scars that might never heal? Remember that the option you choose will affect your perception and phobias for years after. Choose one.
Something being so common it's on the map has its risks to choose as a fear! Each of them do. Fears are not rational - and might cast too wide a net.

...excepting this, of course
Fear of Psykers or machines have risks too. Plaguefear has the least chance of alienating anyone but Nurgle, even if the other two might be less common once we escape samsara, which we don't actually know is the case.

Fascinating, it seems like the first map might be from the future?
Trust not unbound machines. Trust though, the hylic blade, that which brings fear to all on the field.
Now I am really curious about the map at the start. Does it represent the world that will be, or will Miss Normal influence, in a small way, the fate of the world.
Also interesting to learn about the free Carnosans, and that there still several in servers running around?
So this all seems to imply that The Kora and Titanagalbat loses this war and loses it fucking hard. The Progeny loses 30-40% of it's prewar territory. The Titan vassal of High Kur are conquered outright. The Chrome Kings, Mozel and Emmonites either breaks away from the Saffron Court entirely or become even more autonomous. And the Carnosans that started this war got their own free-state.
It is Titanagalbat, Kora's Progeny, Tetras, the Chrome Kings, Mozel the Emmonites, High Kur, and half the Skywatch, against just Cybaris and Koinon. They call it the war of the Cordial against the Contract, the informal moniker of each alliance group.
How in the name of the God-Emperor did Koinon, Cybaris and the Free Carnosans pull this historic upset off? It should literally be impossible.
