It Belongs to a Museum

These two give me more a good feeling, they should be more refined than a crew of berserkers or a harbourmaster, so they could get more interesting things

These guys seem they'd likely have some familiarty with artifacts and transporting stuff, which would be valuable in all cases.

A princess! A poor widowed princess is in need of an evil grandpa vizier! Neferata, we're adopting you a new cousin.

Getting in on this Asur connection as early as possible seems ideal. In terms of 'may be available later', the harbormaster seems likely to stay accessible if we're already hanging around the area, and the bats... are bats, so worst that happens is someone else tries to claim them.

Threw in a vote for Cylostra because while I don't want to pick fights with the Asur like she tends to, it's possible we could build up enough Asur cred, somehow, some day, to let her fulfill her desire for a concert.

These choices seem the most interesting, but all of them are good. The Lamprey is a fun legendary lord in Total War Warhammer (IIRC created for the dlc because the vampire coast faction was lacking in characters at the time), and as others have said the Princess could become another of our students who will certainly not become reviled across the land like has oddly happened to a number of Patsekhen's students, plus she has access to cool stuff.

Alright... The Tide are too personally loyal to Luthor Harkon to allow us the latitude for our own projects but everyone else offers something I like. Cylostra is a delight and her knight ghosts offer intriguing possibilities for operations further from the coast than might be anticipated, raiding caravans and the like; the Salt Lord seems like the best generalist crew and may be less strong-willed and easier to manipulate than Cylostra; an uncertain Asur Princess would be a fantastic person to have in our pocket as a tutee; and I note that Reefwalker offers access to Asur contraband, which, given that the Asur are the Asur and the Citadel of Dusk is a naval outpost, is likely to include all kinds of dark artefacts from far-flung places! Happy with any of them, ultimately!

Think they are the best general crew.

Useful elf connections.

[ ] The Lamprey
No strong opinion.

[ ] The Salt Lord
To living unfriendly for my taste.

[ ] Harbourmaster Tenebrel Reefwalker
Think princess is more useful.

The potential for a zoo incorporating some of the giant bats appeals to me, alongside the more militant aspects. I also agree with the generalist potential that's been mentioned above.

If she's already a fallen star, let's see if a stint as our first student in the new world can't brighten her day. Aside from puns and student potential, I think having an in with high society could be useful for potentially promoting our museum in the future - after all, it was the rich who started eating mummies first.

On the face of things a "Basic" option, but the idea of those forsaken by Chaos, who found new salvation in undeath is neat. It's a fun relationship with a post-mortal existence to explore.

Plus If, I'm reading it right, Swimming and Portaging basically give them a wide breadth from which to gain treasure. Both deeper than otherwise through swimming, and farther inland than might be expected with Portaging for carrying ship and treasure alike from the sea to inland rivers. They seem like a good crew to just go anywhere. The other rare capabilities seem keyed to going deep in some specific field, but their rare skills seem keyed to go very broad.

(Also, if they develop enough to carry a ship past Marienburg, then I like the the irony of raiding whatever incarnation of the Altdorf Museum exists in this day.)

I like the idea of Pahtsekhen just... collecting princesses to uncle at.

A man with one price: Fuck up the Druichi. And you know what? I'm okay with that.

The tide are decent at the whole piracy thing, not entirely intimidating in some circles, and can potentially go digging up treasure from already-sunken ships, which everyone else might struggle with.

Potential halfway-respectable access to Ulthuan, and Ulthuani patrons, is a big prize.

"Greetings young one! I am Pahtsekhen of the Mortuary cult but you can just call me uncle! You ever made a study of weird and or forbidden magics?
